I started becoming interested in Loveland Classical Schools after seeing them around town in 2011 emphasizing citizenship and character. As I heard more about the school, I became interested enough to attend an information meeting. Trisha Coberly, a founder, and our beloved 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade history teacher, Kathy Miller, hosted. They spoke of a school that partnered with parents in their child's education and would teach core virtues like generosity and integrity. They spoke of top-notch curriculum, and a superb level of teaching. They also spoke of a school that would take students directly to the great works to study and understand them, verses reading another's interpretation. I was sold. Although Loveland Classical Schools is still very new, and has made and learned from many mistakes, the teachers and administration have not failed in the least to deliver what was promised at that meeting. My kids have never been more passionate and engaged in learning, and they amaze me with what they already know. I am extremely thankful for the teachers. They are masters in their subjects and care deeply for the students and their families. LCS is a valuable part of the community of Loveland. LCS is serving our families well, is safe, and has an open-door policy. read more

Absolutely, under NO circumstance should ANY parent EVER send their child to this institution. The Board of Directors, Administration and Staff are all under the RULE of one dictator....Mr. Yu. His proven reputation of secrecy, illusive answers and underlying methods of control should send everyone running for the hills. I have had many, many volunteer hours invested there and witnessed more dysfunction and disservice to those children than any other school setting I've partnered with over the last 40 years!!! Exude EXTREME caution before considering this school. Too many families have had to clean up horrible fall out due to their double standards, changing policy and avoidance and or cover up of all controversy. read more

LCS is a great school. What makes it different than local/other charter schools is the staff and academic standards. As a parent of several kids at this school, I sleep well knowing they are challenged to achieve while given an environment that allows my kids to grow. All this is done in an environment that is safe, behavioral expectations are also big here. There is a dress code (not uniforms, just guidelines). My wife and I are both very happy with LCS and the education that our kids are receiving. read more

LCS is a wonderful school. My two daughters have been at LCS for 4 years. I can not believe how much they have learned! The teachers and staff are second to none. They are so dedicated. They challenge and engage the students each day. We are so pleased with the core virtues they reinforce as well. I believe they are helping to teach our daughters how to be responsible, caring and productive citizens. We are so grateful this school is in Loveland! read more
