What started as something that was so exciting to create has turned into an overpriced headache. I created this book hoping to give it to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day. I noticed I entered in our anniversary year incorrectly less than a day after creating it. The company responded with an invoice for me to pay to fix this one simple issue. Not to mention the book already cost me close to $100. After I received a email that the book was shipped out. I checked the edit again and the company added a page to the book with a typo. I notified them and they said it's my fault because I didn't review it. I said this was not my issue this is a typo on typo end. I begged and pleaded that they kindly fix it and send me a new book or refund me. They went ahead and sent me another invoice for me to pay for their mistake. I reviewed everything thoroughly before approving the book the 2nd time and now have to deal with their typo because they won't fix this issue. I would not do business with this company. The concept is really cute and can be a very lovable gift but they are not very compassionate when it comes to helping their customers. They are also not very worried about creating the perfect book fr you-if so they would also proof-read the pages and notify you with any issues before publishing it. although this is a unique and personalized gift idea, you better make sure you check every single detail with a magnifying glass, before approving the book... I worked on my book for over two hours and overlooked one error/glitch (a duplicate image) on the very first page of the book..reached out to customer service and all they could do was offer me 50% off so I could repurchase a whole new book, instead of offering to correct the one glitch and mail me a new copy. I found that to be terrible customer service..and I will not be purchasing from them again. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone, just on the way they handled my particular situation. Reviewer "SCAMMED I paid $130 NZD for a book with hard cover upgrade, I live in New Zealand and I was having it delivered to USA, the address I put for delivery was the USA address, yet for some reason the address they sent it to was half the USA address and half of my address! There is no such address! When I emailed them they told me I put that address, now, why the hell would I do that ? How could I possible type half of each address? It was clearly something on their side and then I was told if I pay more admin and postage they would post out a new one, that would be an extra $50 NZD ($25 USD) which would take the total to $150 NZD, bare in mind this was a birthday present, the book is heading to a none existent address and then will return to them eventually where I guess they'll just destroy it. I checked the reviews and I've seen this exact issue written by other customers, so there's no way they can blame me for it. They have made a mistake and are trying to charge me extra to fix it. The company sent me an email on December 10th saying it was ready to be shipped and it was supposed to be delivered on December 13, but only a label was created and it sat for 9 days in 1 facility. I spent SOOOO many hours perfecting tiny details only to have several pages print out wrong. In the preview, it looks great. And in the digital copy (which you can pay extra to download) it looks great. So I don't know how I could've fixed it on my end. But in the physical copy, several pages had the background color and/or objects cut off. I don't think the price justifies the quality that you get. On the bright side, it was still a touching gift. Easy to customize. Their database of objects is a bit hard to sift through, but they've been making improvements. It also arrived earlier than expected. read more

And I paid standard. I also found a 20% coupon which saved me $14 it was going to $84 after tax and shipping. I love that you can make it as big and as many pages as you want, you can re created it and they charge you a flat rate. I was afraid of it taking months to deliver but they sent me an email that kept me updated from processing order, printing book, shipping and delivering. Yes I wanted it to arrive by my anniversary but I knew it wouldn't because I didn't pay extra $25 for expedited. Yes the price is very steep, but you know what your paying for. It's exactly as I ordered. I asked for the bag and box and hard cover. It came very gorgeously wrapped!!! I loved the presentation I am not kidding! Worth every dollar on a gift that keeps on giving. I can't speak to the negative experiences that other users had. My experience was great, and I can say that it definitely isn't a scam as some others have suggested. My book looks exactly like how the mock-up looked on the site before I ordered. It also came faster than I expected given the customization involved. My only complaint would be that the avatars you can create on the site are a little odd looking, mostly because of the body shape and the way the limbs connect to the body. I have purchased a book from LoveBook on three separate occasions. Overall, I am not impressed with their shipping. I purchased the book on 12/15 and paid expedited shipping charges ($19.99). The item was finally printed on 12/19. It was scheduled for delivery on 12/21. As of Christmas Day, the item is still in the SF bay so I predict it will take another 2-3 days to arrive. While the post office claims that COVID and the Christmas holidays have affected delivery times, LoveBook should use a more reliable method of shipping such as FedEx or UPS. After several attempts to contact them via email and through their company telephone number, I only received several emails stating the book was shipped and I should have received a tracking notice. I hate writing bad reviews but this time I must.. I ordered a Lovebook on March 25th, 2021 and paid for $19.99 for quicker shipping because I needed the book before my Mom and Dad's Anniversary on April 1, 2021... The shipping I paid for was for Wednesday the 31st... I waited all evening on Wednesday and the book never came.. I called first thing Thursday morning and was told that someone would have to get back with me on the problem, I am now in a panic because I needed the book !! Didn't hear from anyone, so I called again around 10am , was told the same thing , someone would get ahold of me, by this time I told them first off I want my shipping cost returned because it wasn't delivered when I paid for, but also I needed the book by today ( April 1, 2021) . Finally I get an email from the support team stating that my book didn't pass quality inspection but they were working on it again and was told this was good news.. Well no this isn't good news , they are working on a book I need today.. They did offer to return my shipping cost but this does not help me... I emailed back stating that I would postpone party If they guaranteed me the book by Friday morning, which I shouldn't have to do but this book is very important and I just need it and If they cannot get it to me before tomorrow then I need a full refund!! It was easy to save my progress and come back to edit the book over several days, and I even did most of it from my smartphone.
