My youngest child began attending this school when she was 3 years old. From day one, my typically withdrawn, shy, and apprehensive child blossomed and came into her own, immediately feeling welcomed and embraced. The parent community is so friendly and positive, working in the classroom is like being on a play-date with friends. The curriculum fosters learning through exploration, science experiments, art, music and relationship development. The community is incredibly warm and inviting and accepting and embracing to children and families of all walks of life. My child has never been so happy before. The second we stepped inside with our (then) 2 year old, we knew we had found the perfect place for preschool. From the wooden open-ended toys, to the beautiful outside play space, LCP has so many opportunities for play based learning all day. We love the community that comes with a parent participation preschool. But what truly makes this school amazing is the incredible teachers- who are so patient, positive, supportive and fun. My two children talk about them all daily and are so excited to see them each school day. LCP has created a love for school in my kiddos that is such a wonderful introduction to education. A friends son who goes there told me just to call and visit that the staff is very accommodating and addressed all my concerns. They also let him visit a couple times before enrollment (Mrs. King is assigned teacher is amazing) and all the parents seem so friendly and good, wholesome families. I also wasn't sure if my son was going to take to it. He loved it from day one! The teachers all have smiling faces. I love that they work more on academics than some of the other schools seemed like their were more into creativity or independence. Even though they do all that too. Only after a week, I see such a difference in my 3 year old. He actually tells me each day what he learns. The staff is kind if they have accident and I feel safe having my son in their care and he is progressing as a student as well. I wish I knew the cute songs he is singing about school.

Statement to anyone considering enrolling their child at Loomis Gateway Academy…read more As a mother of a severely dyslexic child I feel a responsibility to share with our community that the director at Loomis Gateway Academy is falsely stating she is certified in Wilson Reading System. I have verified with Wilson Reading System (WRS) that the senior director is not certified in any WRS program. As parents of dyslexic children I find It incredibly disheartening that anyone would attempt to mislead our parents. The director, Tesa Briles is trying to pass off WRS course work as being certified in Wilson. As a certified Wilson instructor (Wilson Dysleixa Practitioner) and a mother of a dyslexic child I feel it is my moral obligation to advocate for the children and support the parents. Her statements are misleading and factually untrue. Parents who are planing on attending Loomis Gateway Academy now or in the future, please know that there are no certified Wilson teachers at Loomis Gateway Academy. Tesa Briles, or any teacher at Loomis Gateway Academy does not hold a certification in the Wilson Reading Program. You can contact Wilson Reading System at 18008998454 to verify that Tesa Briles is not a certified in any WRS program. When I started on this journey with my son six years ago I wouldn't have known the questions to ask. It's my hope that I can help educate parents and advocate for our children. As an intuitive learner for reading I was not able to teach my son myself. I am disappointed that I did not move my son earlier as he was simply unable to learn in a traditional classroom. Children are treated respectfully and given individual attention needed. I appreciate the improvement to the science component of the education and the addition of art including technique.
