Incredible Experience at Mathnasium of Roseville South!…read more Last Sunday, I brought my daughter and her best friend to Mathnasium of Roseville South for the first time, and it was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. The owner, Divya, hosted a special Mother's Day party that really made the day feel extra memorable. We took some fun photos, the adults got to relax and mingle, and the kids had an absolute blast playing math-themed games that were both fun and educational. What really stood out to me was how inspired I felt after hearing Divya's own math journey -- her passion for math and education really shines through in everything she does. It made me reflect on how important math is in my own child's education -- not just as an academic subject, but as a tool for building confidence, problem-solving skills, and long-term success. After Mathnasium, we went to a jump park and got ice cream -- and yet, when I asked the kids what their favorite part of the day was, they both said Mathnasium! That's pretty incredible. The activities were clearly designed with kids in mind -- fun, engaging, and full of positive reinforcement. The center itself is clean, bright, and welcoming, and the instructors made me feel completely at ease. You can tell they truly care about the kids and the quality of the program. 10/10 recommend Mathnasium of Roseville South. Whether your child is looking to catch up, keep up, or get ahead in math, this is the place to be.

This is my post-pandemic Kumon review but please be sure to read my earlier reviews, as I have had…read morea lot to say about this enrichment program over the years. For starters, it feels great to be enrolled again after a lengthy break. We started out with the kids attending Kumon and just going for it. When they were leaps and bounds ahead of their grade levels and peers, we scaled it back to summer enrollment. Then COVID happened and now we are finally back again, but to be honest? I wish we never stopped! Fear grips us all differently and unfortunately the pandemic had us not doing much in the way of being out. On that note, Mrs P and staff are amazing about how they are handling things with the children at the center. They are spacing out sessions (which need to be reserved in advance), and masks are not required but gently encouraged. There is also now the option for the kids to do their sessions from home via Zoom. During our time away both of my kiddos have slowly back peddled academically and that makes me sad but what it also does is prove how effective the Kumon program truly is. Mrs P's own children are shining examples of what programs like this combined with parent involvement can result in. I have watched them do the program, work at the center with their mother, graduate high school at the top of their classes, and both be accepted into an Ivy League University. Everything about Mrs P, her family and the Kumon staff INSPIRES us. We feel so grateful that they welcome us back year after year and we will always highly recommend this method of academic enrichment.

Now two years later, she is a different girl. She likes school, is social at school, she knows her strengths, and how to use different tools for the subjects that are more difficult for her. She is now prepared to go on to a middle school. This school really helps the kids feel good in their own skin. It gives them confidence. It lets everyone talk and have a voice. I am so happy I sent my daughter to this "out of the box" school. Not all kids fit "in the box" and this school makes these kids feel normal, as they should feel.

Statement to anyone considering enrolling their child at Loomis Gateway Academy…read more As a mother of a severely dyslexic child I feel a responsibility to share with our community that the director at Loomis Gateway Academy is falsely stating she is certified in Wilson Reading System. I have verified with Wilson Reading System (WRS) that the senior director is not certified in any WRS program. As parents of dyslexic children I find It incredibly disheartening that anyone would attempt to mislead our parents. The director, Tesa Briles is trying to pass off WRS course work as being certified in Wilson. As a certified Wilson instructor (Wilson Dysleixa Practitioner) and a mother of a dyslexic child I feel it is my moral obligation to advocate for the children and support the parents. Her statements are misleading and factually untrue. Parents who are planing on attending Loomis Gateway Academy now or in the future, please know that there are no certified Wilson teachers at Loomis Gateway Academy. Tesa Briles, or any teacher at Loomis Gateway Academy does not hold a certification in the Wilson Reading Program. You can contact Wilson Reading System at 18008998454 to verify that Tesa Briles is not a certified in any WRS program. When I started on this journey with my son six years ago I wouldn't have known the questions to ask. It's my hope that I can help educate parents and advocate for our children. It's hard enough finding the right help for our children without being lied to from the people we are entrusting to help our children. The teachers do not like working here and you can tell with the amount of teacher turnover around they get. A total of 5 directors worked there at the time of us going here. They don't care about anything you voice or concerns you may have. The state has done multiple visits due to multiple concerns with families.
