I had a fill done here today at 12:30pm ... they were nice and took me right away ... I asked for a tan with chrome over but they only had darker browns which I understand ... the gentlemen doing my nails tried to go faster than I guess he could because my finger and cuticles are shredded and swollen!! I didn't say anything as I was bleeding and thought it was obvious. Then ... their pricing board states a fill is $30 ... plus the chrome I thought maybe $45 ... they charged me $60 without even explaining why ... fine the work was already done ... I still gave him a $10 tip on top of it. Now ... 6 hours later the chrome is coming off of EVERY nail. I have been getting my nails done for a while over 35 years and this has never happened in my entire life. I got gel ex less than eight days ago. Day 32 came off day four and another one came off day three came up. I've never seen anything like this. Not sure how this happened after eight days. I came here for my first time with my sister in law whom is a regular. I've been to many salons all over the east coast however it's comforting to know that when I'm in LA, I know I'll be taken care of and not set up. Lol The best thing about this specific salon is that multiple People will be working on you at the same time. Paul was doing my gel fill, a woman on my toes and the sweetest lady with my wax- at the same time. The best thing about this nail salon is they are always available. I have never had to wait and never made an appointment. That in itself should have been my first red flag!!! I moved to the Woodland Hills area from another part of the valley, and figured I give this spot a try. My fiancé and I went the first time, he didn't like it. He continue to drive back to our old neighborhood. I took my daughter for a pedicure, and she hated it. She chose to go back to the old neighborhood as well. I had to travel emergency and Love Nails was open, so I dropped in. It was not a good experience. The nails were all sorts of shapes and sizes and 2 nails were off in 2 days. Lastly, I took my 7 year old granddaughter to get a Mani/Pedi yesterday and chose gel polish because she's a kid and I wanted her polish to last. Her pedicure lasted exactly 7 1/2 minutes. I also got a pedicure since I had a chipped toenail. Needless to say everything was all bad. My granddaughter took a bath when we got home and her nail polish started lifting. It's 24 hours later and 3 of her nails no longer have polish. I guess I am a glutton for punishment because this is the picture of my toenail sitting in their spa chair before I got up to leave. One of the worst nail experiences i have had in my life! I hade both a pedicure and a full set acrylics. The pedicure was good! But my acrylic set was a total disaster. I asked him to do a specific design, he said okay and started with nails. When he was putting on the acrylics his colleague comes and grabs the powder and leaves us there waiting. My technician walked around the whole salon trying to find more acrylic powder. It looked a little funny, me and my friend had a good laugh after (she will post her experience too. Not a good one) It was super frustrating knowing we were in a rush for a wedding that same day. He did not shape them until after he was done with the acrylics (which is super weird...) and it hurt when he used his electric nail grinder to shape them. He was grinding the nails a lot and at one point it went so far that it was burning my real nail... I overlooked the fact that he burned my fingernails but he was SO RUDE. Totally disregarding my wishes. I told him I wanted shorter nails and he said no. He colored my nails all wrong. See pictures. Worst thing tho, i paid $80 and my nails started chipping the same night. And today 3 of my nails fell off... I have never, and i mean NEVER, experienced anything like this before. Great place! I would have given this place four stars but for the cuts to my skin next to my nails when the manicurist was either styling or when he was trimming my cuticles. I got a dip powder with SNS and they did two layers of powder and three layers of gel. No matter what I usually chip nails within one day and so far it has been one day and so far so good. This was the worst full set and pedicure I have ever had and the most expensive at $170. The manicurist did not trim my cuticles on my hands or my toes and I have no acrylic on the sides of my nails with my nail edge showing. My toes are jacked with paint on the skin and when I removed the cuticles myself most of the paint came off of two toes because they were painted on top of skin. He kept telling me that they are so expensive because the chrome effect took one more coat. I feel robbed. read more

She takes the time to track down the perfect color or show you any new products that have come out - try the cat eye polish! She never makes me feel rushed or as if I am bothering her, even if I change my color 5 times. The best I found before coming to Love Nails was in Santa Monica, and about twenty-thirty dollars more expensive. I barely wait every time I come here, even when I show up without an appointment. If I ever call last minute, they are able to fit me in. I am in an out for a gel mani+pedi in about an hour, if not less- without fail, every time! The pricing is fair, and definitely worth the quality. My gel nails last close to three weeks (I use my hands quite a bit), and my pedicure can last over a month easily. There is a great selection of color that is constantly being added to. Amy is one of the best nail technicians I have come across. She is friendly, efficient, bright and professional. I have seen here go above and beyond for customers consistently. I don't usually do anything too crazy with my nails, but if I were to feel in the mood for something different and creative then I would definitely trust Amy to get the job done. She has a great memory, and remembers exactly how I like my nails. I have seen her satisfy many other customers who have very refined expectations. If you're debating on whether or not to come here for an appointment, then I highly suggest you give them a chance. I'm surprised to see this establishment has high reviews, perhaps I went on an "off day". I was in last Sunday for a regular fill. No one greeted me when I came in.so I walked to the back where some people were getting pedicures and asked if anyone had time for a fill. A man pointed to a chair and told me to sit there- I guess that meant they had time. Not exactly friendly. I explained I just moved back to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. A man did my nails- I wish I got his name. He left them so messy with polish at the end that I asked him to clean them up with acetone. After he cleaned them they looked ok,-the only complaint was many were different lengths. The biggest problem is that it has only been a week and i have three broken nails! One broke after 4 days and the other two broke at the one week point. I have a feeling they have their regulars and perhaps spend more time with them (and are maybe friendly to them). I wouldn't recommend this place. The whole experience was just messy from the interior to the nail samples to the end result. I kept having to ask the nail technician to do things that I would expect to be standard such as applying polish all the way to the edge of my nail and filing my nails evenly. After the third time of asking her to even out my nails and having her saw away at the edges instead until I nearly bled, she blamed it on my nails being too short. I always wear my nails the same length and have never had such issues getting a decent end result. read more

Small salon, fine looking but the staff seemed super burned out and overworked - it was not a pleasant environment. The guy who helped me gave me the laziest manicure and pedicure I have received in my life. He could barely be bothered to complete hand movements and the resulting work was not attractive. The guy who helped my mom hurt her - burned her nails by removing the dip powder entirely with the drill tool. She asked him to move slower and suggested removing with acetone at least partially but he did not listen. He gave her acrylic instead of dip powder which is what she asked for. Really horrible place of business. We were in town for a wedding and made an appointment to get our nails done. The whole process was unpleasant and the place was DIRTY. I had a set on previously and wanted a different shape so they had to do a removal. Instead of soaking my polish off in acetone the guy used the grinder to grind all of the acrylic off of my nails... I have never seen anyone do this. This technique left me in agony because it was burning my nails. I flinched and said, "ouch" a couple of times so the guy would get the memo but he just kept going at it. Funny thing is, it would have been faster to just soak them off. The next step was adding the tips and the filing... First off I'm not sure what kind of playhouse nail glue they were using but it was not sticking to my nails. This process was painful as well. He kept getting my skin. I had one nail on my pinky break pretty low and you think he'd know to be careful with that area... NOPE. Not a single care given. Another thing that was REALLY bizarre was that each station was not stocked properly with the appropriate items needed to do nails. My guy got up and began walking around the salon for like 10 minutes looking for acrylic powder. What kind of a nail salon only has one jar of acrylic powder that everyone has to share? He then stole the acrylic powder my friend's tech was using then my friend's tech started looking around for acrylic powder as well... Amusing? Sure. Funny? Not really. She had a bad experience as well, I'm sure she will post about it because they gave her not even close to what she had asked. Anyways, back to my experience, the guy did not seem super friendly in my opinion and was extremely brief when talking or did not talk at all. When it was finally over (thank God) he charged me a whopping $65... What the actual f!#!. I got a basic gel full set. You're telling me he charged me $20 for the removal?! And $45 for these trash nails. I got my nails done Saturday and multiple broke off less than a full 48 hours later. They were flimsy and not well done at all. I had to call my nail place when I got back home where my nails last 3 weeks without budging to fix this mediocre mess. I'm still feeling remorseful about paying let alone tipping. Don't let their photos or reviews fool you. This is the WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon as well as the WORST in quality work along with horrendous prices for what they do. Super unsanitary and dirty, I'm surprised I did not get an infection with all the damage done to my fingers. Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. read more

I always get a gel manicure with ombré (aka "fade") and glitter. Every place has their own technique & it took a couple tries for the manicurist to get it right on one of my nails til we moved on to the rest. Lint kept getting stuck on the base coat so we had to redo those nails. I'm very happy with the end result and will be coming here from now on to get my gel ombré manis. Cynthia did my pedicure and was very gentle. A little too gentle and I requested to massage a bit harder and focus on my feet instead of my calves. She delicately trimmed my cuticles and did a clean job with my painting my toe nails. I'm a sucker for the massage and paid an extra $20 for a longer massage (+10min each foot). Total was around $80 & they only accept cash tip, but welcomed to pay credit card. I tipped 22%. Amy, the owner is very tentative and was pleased to see her employee do a fantastic job on my nails. Come here if you're near Shoup Ave and Ventura Blvd! Nm anywhere else within 2miles radius. Free parking in lot out front. It's in the corner of the street. I'll definitely be back!
