Following my first session, I noticed significant unevenness and several sparse areas in my brows. I returned for a second session to address these concerns; however, I experienced the same outcome. While my brows initially appeared fuller and more even for about a week, the pigment faded quickly, leaving noticeable bare spots once again. Additionally, the final result appears more "powdered" rather than consisting of defined, hair-like strokes, which was my expectation. I will need to fill in the bare spots with pencil even though I paid more than I ever have for sub standard microblading! I have had microblading done in the past with results that lasted approximately 3-4 years. In my previous experience, a touch-up session was typically included as part of the initial service, rather than being charged at the same rate as the original procedure. I won't be recommending her to friends, family or coworkers and will go elsewhere next time.

The prices are super reasonable. I believe I paid a total of $50 for application on both hands. I requested an intricate traditional looking design on one hand and my Sun sign on the other. There is a huge parking lot as this salon is located in a strip mall at 8 Mile Road and Woodward. Though I did not receive eyebrow services, I observed a few that looked fantastic. There was easy parking outside and her space was very clean and organized. Charmaine took the time to map out my brows, understanding what level of shade I wanted my eyebrows and how natural I wanted them to look. The process was straightforward and did not hurt at all. Fine Strokes has an awesome website which you can get all the info you need on microblading, scheduling an appointment, and reading up on pre & post care. Vinny did my procedure and touch up as well. The studio is located inside Sola Salon & Suites near Costco in Shelby Twp so it's a single-room studio. However it's spic and span clean and excellent lighting. Vinny is so friendly and patient he wants to make sure he delivers what you want. I was pretty picky with my shape but he was so patient. For those of you who don't know, this procedure hurts! The numbing cream he used helped but if you know what this procedure is, then you'll expect some pain. My brows looked amazing after the first time he did them. I did the microblading + shading. He was very thorough in explaining the after care & provided a great topical gel to use. When I came back for my touchup 3 weeks later it was all the same experience, which is good. However both appointments I had to wait for quite a bit of time as he was finishing up a previous client. I appreciated that he acknowledged that & apologized for the inconvenience. I am pretty much happy with my brows however my skin must not have taken the strokes/pigment as well as others' skin does. Vinny is good about warning customers about that effect. The highly coveted microblading look does not last on all skin types. So mine you can somewhat see the lines, but it's mostly blurry. Not a great feeling considering all the money I spent here.
