To offer an honest and fair review I wanted to wait a few months before posting my review because I wanted to see how my eyebrows turned out. I got my service done in June of this year. Fine Strokes has an awesome website which you can get all the info you need on microblading, scheduling an appointment, and reading up on pre & post care. Vinny did my procedure and touch up as well. The studio is located inside Sola Salon & Suites near Costco in Shelby Twp so it's a single-room studio. However it's spic and span clean and excellent lighting. Vinny is so friendly and patient he wants to make sure he delivers what you want. I was pretty picky with my shape but he was so patient. For those of you who don't know, this procedure hurts! The numbing cream he used helped but if you know what this procedure is, then you'll expect some pain. My brows looked amazing after the first time he did them. I did the microblading + shading. He was very thorough in explaining the after care & provided a great topical gel to use. When I came back for my touchup 3 weeks later it was all the same experience, which is good. However both appointments I had to wait for quite a bit of time as he was finishing up a previous client. I appreciated that he acknowledged that & apologized for the inconvenience. I am pretty much happy with my brows however my skin must not have taken the strokes/pigment as well as others' skin does. Vinny is good about warning customers about that effect. The highly coveted microblading look does not last on all skin types. So mine you can somewhat see the lines, but it's mostly blurry. Not a great feeling considering all the money I spent here. read more

Unfortunately I did have a bad experience here with Vinny. There were zero "stroke" like markings and instead just a lot of GRAY shading. Also, Vinny advised me while getting my eyebrows done that he did internet marketing for other companies, so he knows how to make it so when you search for microblading in Michigan 'Fine Strokes Microblading' pops up right away. That should've been a dead giveaway, but I was already half way into getting my eyebrows done. Currently in the process of having another salon fix my brows. So bummed. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Vinny! He was very kind and was great at explaining all the details I had to know about the procedure, aftercare, etc. I was very nervous about this as I am very picky with my makeup, and specifically eyebrows. However, I had many areas that were sparse or even completely lacking hair, and I was tired of spending a ton of time every morning perfecting them. Now, I have perfect brows every day. Such a time saver and confidence booster. I do have to say that it can be a little scary for the first few days after the procedure and even touch up. They will get extremely dark and harsh looking, but just know that this will pass...be patient and do not panic! After a few days of proper care, they start to lighten up and look great! Would highly recommend to anyone who is self conscious about their lack of natural brows, or who is sick of spending a ton of time filling them in every morning. read more

Elda was weird. She made weirdly sexist remarks while totally ignoring every request I tried to make about my eyebrow preferences. I came with my brows outlined, she wiped them off. I offered a photo for reference, she ignored it. The job she did was so atrocious and uneven I had to go to someone else to fix them. When I asked for a partial refund she patronized me and ignored my partial refund request. I hope nobody else has to share this experience. read more

Vinny, despite being a bit newer to the company, did an amazing job with my eye brows. It is a night and day difference! He was very thorough and especially patient as I was very picky. Fine Strokes (Ilda) did my eyebrows almost two years ago and it was one of my best decisions​. I have only had one touch up and I still have people telling me how much they love my eyebrows. So I decided to go for the eyeliner​ last month. Getting your eyebrows done can be a little uncomfortable and eyeliner more so. But both are tolerable. (Not much different then botox or filler injections in the face, not easy either but worth a little pain.) Ilda's pricing, while not cheap is even with the market in this area and at least half of what you would pay in cities like NY or LA. And know that Ilda is an artist and designs eyebrows and liner that goes with your face and makeup practices. read more

Elda is amazing! She explains the entire procedure thoroughly, answers any questions, and really takes the time to make you feel comfortable prior to even starting the treatment. I went to see Elda yesterday and she did an amazing job. I picked her cause this is what her speciality is rather than a spa who has people doing a little bit of everything. My brows were unique in there own way but needed to look more like twins than sisters lol. She made me feel comfortable and took her time mapping out what my new brows would look like. Within 24 hours I have gotten so many complaints from people that they turned out great and very natural looking.
