The owner of this place is so unfriendly and unprofessional. - she said she doesn't know how to make a recommendation on my eyebrows as the expert and blatantly argued with me in front of another customer when I told her I didn't think we were connection on communication. She does good eyebrows but it is not worth the money to be treated like crap when you want to just simply get a service. It makes sense why her refund on deposit language is so stringent - I'm sure people leave all of the time without getting services. That is her actual business model- charging deposits and having shocked customers leave without getting the actual service. I've never in my life been treated like that for an esthetic service and I never will again. Also, the last time I got my eyebrows done with someone who had no and she had to actually fix my eyebrows because the woman was doing such a terrible job. Amber is amazing! I went to a previous highly rated business but was left unhappy even after the follow up / revision session. That's when I found Amber! She gave me EXACTLY what I wanted & then some. In addition to being super sweet; she LISTENS and makes sure that she does the best to provide you with what you are looking for. She not only fixed the previous work from another artist but she exceeded my expectations! I also just had my annual color boost with her (for my brows and eyeliner!) and she continued to listen and did amazing as always. Another stand out point is Amber aims to perfect her work everytime that allows her to take pride in her work & also does a great job of asking how you feel about it afterwards to ensure you are leaving satisfied with the results! I reached out to Love Brows using their contact form asking for help on what services I needed to book. Amber replied and once I submitted my picture she recommended a wax, lamination and tint. Amber was working on other people and I was assigned to a different esthetician. The whole process was scheduled to take 45 minutes and I was there for two hours. Everything my esthetician did, Amber checked and redid her work. I told them I thought they were too dark. Amber told me it was because it was still wet. She asked me to wait 24 hours and then wash them and I would see a difference. The original wax also left me with a scab under my left eyebrow. I waited and there was no change. So I texted Amber again to have it fixed. After she redid the middle so it was symmetric, her attempt to lighten them did not work. She asked me to come back at a later time to bleach them. I'll not be returning. I think that Amber and her team are great for people who have light eyebrows, thin eyebrows or almost no eyebrows. But for people like me who have full eyebrows, the same service doesn't apply. I don't like leaving negative reviews but since it was my birthday and I paid $95 I will explain, My appointment was for 1:30 pm. I arrived a few minutes early out of curiosity. After being confused to find out where exactly she was located (upstairs), I entered the building. There was as a woman getting brow lamination done . I explained to owner or service provider that I had an appointment for 1:30pm. She checked her schedule and looked at me as if I was lost or didn't recognize my appointment. She instructed me to take a seat. She finished with het current client 20 more minutes. It appears she was running about 45 minutes/ hour behind schedule. When it was my turn to go, I was scheduled for Brow lamination, wax , and tint . I informed her I had Brow lamination done for over a year and very familiar with the process. The entire process was PAINFUL!!!! It was a burning sensation and still is today . Mind you I have had this process done many times and never being burned and subject to unprofessional treatment. I know everyone is different but this was ridiculous. Most Brow laminated results are a feathered or fluff look. Again I showed pictures of previous Brow laminated and her work looks nothing like it. What was an indirect insult was the 2 white women who arrived got an apology for her being behind schedule and inconvenienced. Also She accepts Venmo. Everyone doesn't have this payment app . Absolutely ridiculous. Don't go here. --I booked online and it charged me a deposit per usual, I showed up for my appointment and Amber claimed I had booked for 3 people. Confused because I don't know how that could happen, I showed her what I booked--just to get my eyebrows waxed, laminated, and tinted and she claimed that I needed to pay a total of $195 to get my service done for just me when the total for what I was supposed to get done was only $95. I am bummed to write this, because the work looks amazing. However, after booking I tested positive for COVID and would still be in quarantine the day of the appointment. I tried emailing and calling the email/number listed in the confirmation twice and asking to reschedule. I didn't received a response until getting text messages the day of for not showing up. I replied and tried calling again but received no response. After calling the day after, someone answered and was very short, rude and dismissive. After explaining, I was asked "do you have proof of COVID" and was also told they do not check the email. Then, instead of just offering to reschedule, I was told to dispute the charged deposit through my credit card company and that it was an issue with the scheduling company they "pay." I was honestly taken aback by the interaction. They said they were with a client, so I get the urgency to get off the phone, but at least take my name and number, be polite (at the very least) and offer to call me back to discuss. She provided very detailed instructions on how to prepare for the appointment, expectations on what the appointment would look like, and instructions for after care. Amber meticulously drew the shape for my brows, measuring down to the fraction of a millimeter to ensure perfect symmetry, that the spacing, length, and shape was right for my face dimensions, and that I loved how they'd look. Her studio is comfortable and I even fell asleep while she was doing my brows (the numbing cream works wonders). I was so excited to book an appointment with Love Brows after reading the many positive reviews and seeing the Instagram account. I booked Lash Lifts for my friend and I and made a point of DMing Amber to make sure my friend and I were all set. On the day of the appointment Amber texted 40 mins before our appointment to say she was running 30 mins late. We figured 30 minutes is only a minor inconvenience but then she texted again saying it would be 50 minutes... We are on vacation and now waiting around for our appointments when we could have been with our husbands who were also waiting for us to return from the appointment. When we arrived we could see Amber working on another client. We knocked on the glass door and were made to wait almost 10 more minutes before being let inside. Once inside, Amber continued to finish the person she was working with. Keep in mind we are now well over an hour past our appointment. At this point another customer came in and Amber told her that she meant to text her but forgot and explained that she had both me and my friend's appointments running behind (eekk such a disaster!). Overall, we expected to be offered some type of compensation for the inconvenience of the whole experience but that was not the case. You are paying for a service and the experience, and while the service was fine (once we were finally seen) the experience was terrible. As a business, when this happens you should offer a complimentary service or discount in order to have customers return. read more
