Without a doubt, the worst "pie" I have ever spent money on. Unfortunately, I spent money on 2 and…read morethey were both equally atrocious. I was told the pies at Ace Hardware have a cult following and as such, I bought a peach and a boysenberry. Little did I know, the pies that are so highly rated are at the Ace Hardware stores in California and come from a totally different manufacturer. Both pies I bought that came from Pies Unlimited were horrendous, and we threw both in the garbage. The peach pie was basically a can of peaches including the liquid underneath a bitter, horrible tasting pastry. We cut into the peach pie and it was soup, and my wife and I were both shocked at how bad it was. We decided to keep the boysenberry pie frozen a few extra weeks, and just now decided to cook it. A similar experience ... a mostly liquid filling, a bottom pastry layer that was paper thin and didn't hold up any of the pie filling and a pastry layer that was bitter again and foul. I am not exaggerating when I say I have had frozen, generic brand pies from the grocery store that taste 10x better than these. I have no idea what they are doing at this place, but save your money ... I would give 0 stars if that was an option.

We ordered the sampler pack (4 savory, 3 sweet), and every single pastry was stuffed with filling. Nothing felt skimpy. The Wild Cod was a standout for any fish lover. Cod is also not something you often find in pastries, so I was pleasantly surprised. The beef was rich and flavorful, with what seemed like a hint of curry seasoning. The mushroom had a delicious earthy, savory flavor, and the Hot Honey Chicken was huge, with just the right balance of sweetness and mild heat. What I loved most was that there was truly something for everyone in our family. I honestly can't pick a favorite because they were all that good. The sweets definitely deserve a mention too. We tried the Mango Scone, Blueberry Lemonie, and Banana Cornbread. The Banana Cornbread tasted exactly it sounds - if banana bread and cornbread had a baby. It's the family fave :) We'll definitely be back. I'm excited to see what new flavors Quay comes up with next, because if they're anything like what we tried today, they're going to be amazing!
