Also, it is very difficult to cancel your subscription - sending them an email won't suffice! Oh no, you must send them a letter, which is ridiculous, via post. Even if you've already emailed them! During the peak hours, we benefited from having staff who helped explain how to purchase tickets, what the Train Plus option is: Well worth the Euro 6 cost since subsequent trips for the next 30 days are discounted and you don't have to repeatedly type in your name and date-of-birth. The signage is pretty straight forward, but since it's operating at full capacity it can get confusing. Thankfully workers are everywhere to assist! So I did seek help at the kiosk in purchasing my ticket. Amex was accepted here. Then I asked another worker for assurance on what platform to go to for my destination. Everything flowed smooth for the most part. I think their rail system has been the easiest to navigate in Europe so far.

This was an okay place to stay to be close to the central station and the main attractions, but…read morethere was enough that was negative that I personally wouldn't stay here again. The look of the room was overall what I expected. However, the rug was completely falling apart. They would've been better just taking out the rug than having that in the room. I was on the first floor (floor above the ground floor) back and my room was very noisy. I wore headphones and it didn't drown out the noise. That's not the hotel's fault (although maybe better soundproofing), but wanted to make note of it in case you're sensitive to noise. I heard sirens, people outside, what sounded like a trash pick up at 1:30 in the morning, church bells ringing... I never really got a good nights sleep. Since I was there 5 nights, it would've been nice if they put me in a quieter room. I was in the executive room and my shower/tub combo had a big step into the shower. Just something to be aware of if that's going to be challenging for you. The water in the shower never got hot enough. Luckily, I didn't purchase the breakfast every day, but I did try it out the first day and I wasn't a fan. It's just personal preference, but I found the scrambled eggs and bacon to be undercooked to my liking. They have a Belgian waffle maker and I was chastised by the woman working about it. There was no sign to wait for her, so I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. I just decided not to go back. It just seemed like there was always something wrong. One day, my fridge light kept blinking, another day my towels didn't get refreshed, one morning the elevator was out so people had to take the steep stairs, for the last two days the hot water in the lobby hasn't worked and the machine says it needs to be cleaned, and one day I came back to my room in the evening and there were bags of laundry just sitting in the hallway. I also had challenges with the wifi cutting out. There's only one person working in the evening, so if there's something wrong, it probably has to wait until the next day. The people working the front desk were friendly and they put a bottle of water in the fridge every day, which is nice. So, nothing horrible, and it is convenient, but there were enough annoyances that it wasn't a great experience.

As we entered the room, our immediate thought was to move the bed to the wall & it was on wheels & easily moveable. Preventing this was the desk, also in the middle of the room, which also served as the headboard and was bolted to the floor. So we were stuck with the setup. Fortunately (sarcasm) the wheels on the bed didn't lock so we were constantly having to move the bed back up to the headboard or lose the pillows And speaking of, the pillows were rock hard, no support whatsoever and this well matched the mattress which gave us both major backaches. Added to the heating that was full blast no matter what temp we tried and turning the temp off did zero benefit Mold in the shower walls but the main floor part was clean so tried to keep to the middle Only saving grace was being literally next door to the Metro so we could venture out & about town There seems to be a lot of love for this hotel but for me, have to say we've experience much better. Won't be back.

It's within walking distance to public transportation and a Carrefour Express. The room did have a small mini fridge which was great for leftovers. Like many places in Europe, the room had 2 twin beds pushed together. We had to push them back together a couple times as the mattresses wandered a bit. They didn't have comforters but luckily they had a spare blanket in the closet. I definitely needed it. The tub was deep but curved so I didn't feel steady getting in and out of the bath. I definitely felt like I would slip. There is a heated towel rack that really never got warm while set to the highest setting. They also have a traditional bidet, which is grossly inferior to modern bidet toilet seats. The room had windows that opened, which was nice for getting fresh air. The TV had a couple English language channels which was nice. The elevators were the smallest I'd ever been in. There was enough space for me + 2 large check in suitcases that my husband pushed into the elevator. He had to ride in a separate elevator. I cannot imagine if a single parent was travelling with small children how they'd get their luggage in and out of the elevator without staff assistance. I can't even imagine someone in a motorized wheelchair being able to fit into the elevator. There was spa water in the lobby on one of the days and then it disappeared. I've never been to a hotel where they just stop putting our water in the lobby for guests. There is a restaurant attached and was quite busy every day that we were there. This hotel primarily caters to Spaniards, but the front desk does speak English. Overall, I liked that the hotel felt clean and was in what felt like a safe area, but the slippery tub, chilly twin beds and elevator situation was annoying enough to not be 4 stars.
