One of my favorite train stations in Belgium. Small enough so you can't get lost, but big enough for you to get to where you need to without transferring. What's even more convenient, the main bus station is adjacent to the train, so transferring is a breeze.
For those who just come off a weary ride, stop by and have a cold beer at the many cafes across the street. For eating, there is only a kebob place on site; if you want more you'll have to walk a bit. Another nice touch is the way the car traffic right outside the station is routed underground, making street crossing much safer.
Currently the station is going through some upgrades, so there is a temporary ticketing office in the plaza outside of the main station. read more
