If you walk down the stairs, they are behind the stairs. There is no small size. The middle size is only good for a backpacks. For carry on size luggage, you need at least a L size, which is 9 euro for L size. There are bigger sizes, which will cost more. The instructions are clearly stated in the locker room. No staff are there to help you. Credit card is accepted.

Okay, this section of Brussels certainly isn't all that large, but there are a few bars around here, and you could say some other types of entertainment (like eating kebabs). If you want to buy tickets to a station within Belgium, you can use the self service ticket machine (card only). If you need to buy tickets to travel to a nearby Belgian city using cash, you will need to visit a ticket counter (typically counter 2). If you need to a buy a train ticket to a city outside of Belgium, you will need to go to a ticket counter (typically counter 5 and 6). This is the same one as the service center counter so many people have complex requests/issues to handle. Be prepared to wait in line. Give yourself plenty of time to purchase tickets and don't wait until the last minute! The train station (on the platform) itself isn't very clean... but at least it's better than Paris? Definitely not as clean as the one in Amsterdam. The train station is modest sized but still has shops for your chocolate craving, banking needs, etc.

It's been an interesting experience over the past 3 years, seeing Schuman Metro station being…read moretransformed from a construction site full of concrete walls to the marble and polished looking place it is now. As of October 2015, you can see the lovely pale gold marble on both the stations' floors and walls and its beautiful structure emerging like a butterfly from its cocoon - there is still work to be done, buts it's getting there with its cathedral ceilings and gleaming lights. My fave station in the Brussels metro station still remains Stockel, with its Tintin cartoons, but Schuman reminds me a bit of Grand Central in NYC, which is maybe what indeed it was aiming for, considering it is the station stop for the EU institutions.

From arrivals after baggage claim just follow the train signs which was to my right and down to -1 level. All I had to do was scan my emailed ticket's QR code and it allowed me through the automated gates. If you have big luggage or stroller then on of the staff will manually open a pass through gate. However the escalators down to the track level wasn't working so had to hike it. There was an elevator if needed. Overall station was clean and well signed to find my train. The train to Brussels was a short one so don't walk to the end of the platform as the engine stops right next to the escalators. From the airport to Bruxelles-Luxembourg station took 18 minutes. By far the easiest way to Brussels in my opinion.
