I'm so in love with this store...as a kid I used to do ballet and flamenco dance. One of the things…read moreI loved the most was wearing my outfit at the classes. For ballet, I used to wear my skin leotards and colorful short skirts, with warm-ups and ballet shoes. Besides dancing shoes, my leather soft shoes were my favorite thing in the world. I had a few pairs, all in salmon, and wore them even at home when I wasn't practicing. Stepping into Repetto is, in a way, stepping into my childhood memories. The ballet deco of the boutique (a small bar, a few red velvet armchairs) reminds me of my practice classroom back home. At this shop in Pacific Place they also have some other non-ballet shoes and casual bags. Whereas I'm not so keen on those, I do love their clothing and practice shoes. The clothes are very simple, plain, in light colors, functional, they are essentially made to do ballet and they're good quality. The ballet shoes are amazing, and that's why I visited the shop in the first place. Today I wanted to buy a pair of soft leather ballerinas: one of the girls at the shop was really helpful, advising on sizes (normally one and a half or two sizes bigger than your normal shoes') and styles (they have cotton and leather, but I preferred leather). They aren't very pricey for what they are (around 360HKD for leather and 260HKD for cotton). I tried a few until I got the right ones and looked at them in the mirror...I felt like a little girl again! I left them reserved for next week and I'm coming back to pick them up and check out a skin leotard I saw...

It is how a brand keeps its root. We all shop our flats there. But the story-telling marketing engages the elegance of ballet, the originality of comfortableness, and the essence of beauty. The pink-white tone drive us back to some dream land. Oh yes, girls, flying like a swan. The display is a lovely circle of the category with multiple new season colours and fabrics. It just make us more greedy to get a full collection. I do remain conservative in terms of buying them from the Hong Kong stores as if you check their EU website. Sadly they do not ship to Hong Kong. But in case you are traveling or you have visitors from the other side of the world? But I cannot deny the privileged store experience either. Once your put all your feet in, and you will probably end up taking out your wallet. ;)

I live in the area and stumbled upon Lianca today. A great store for all leather goods. High…read morequality, very reasonably priced, so very well made, all things leather. Hangbags, business card holders, keychains, wallets, bracelets, totebags, book covers, cell phone covers. Variations in color (from brights to browns) and variations in style of the same item (flaps, snaps or folds if you prefer). We bought a business card holder but will definatley be back for gifts and other accessories. It would be a great place to buy a great gift for someone special or maybe even yourself. I love that I found this store! It is at the corner of Stuanton & Graham. It does have a sunken front entrance, but don't let this discourage you from going inside. It is a leather gem!

That's right - I am one of THOSE who love to pay for things with exact change! In HK, not only do they have coins for cents, but they also have coins for dollar denominations ($1, 2, 5, 10.) Some establishments refuse to accept coins under $1, so to keep things organized I was in search of a coin purse with 2 compartments. Lianca Central fit the bill! This HK leather shop has some gorgeous accessories, along with a good assortment of quality Italian nylon goods. I found a beautiful 2 zip coin pouch in blue and tan leather that was the perfect size I was looking for. The staff is very helpful - it's very likely that they have multiple colours of the styles on display so don't be afraid to ask. Bottom line, this is a lovely shop to visit if you're looking for a nice gift or a memorable HK souvenir.

I also know when a piece of clothing has sold out because I stop by every week and more often than not, add things to my wish list. I love the Frenchy chic style, with the bright but plain colors. But little I knew about the business itself and assumed they were actually French. In fact, it's a Guangzhou based company that launched 10 years ago, although it only arrived to Hong Kong last year. Mo&Co. is not only a pioneer in fashion in China, but apparently, they are also innovative in the way they approach their employees and customers. The design of their clothes is not intentionally French-like since, according to the founder, it started with her own need to create distinctive clothes for herself. And she got it right, because the brand definitely has personality: it's not the cute little girl style but it's more straight line designed, more about simple cuts touched with some color or pattern or message that makes it unique. I love their leather pieces, whether it's a jacket or a long skirt, and some of their dresses are definitely on that wish list. And it's affordable; right now they've got a hanger with sales only. What I also like about them too is that, at this outlet, though small it's never busy (and I walk past at peak times...) and that makes the whole shopping experience even better at Mo&Co.
