On August 27, I noticed that my belt buckle was scratched. The belt was purchased about a month ago, and I visited the store, speak with Lauren, the manager. She was very kind and arranged for a replacement buckle, which I greatly appreciated. On September 3, I contacted Louis Vuitton to check on the status of the delivery date. They told me that the store would be notified and would reach out to me. However, I never received any communication. I also reached out to the sales associate who originally sold me the belt, but she ignored my message and never responded. On September 8, I called Louis Vuitton again. They acknowledged my concern and assured me that the store would contact me. Today is September 12, and I still haven't heard from anyone. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and it certainly does not deserve the 5 star rating I initially gave. On the same day, August 27, I also purchased a card case, which was delivered on September 3. The service at the Manhasset store was extremely disappointing. I walked past several employees without a single greeting. When I approached a store manager--a tall woman with dark hair--for help with a return, she responded curtly with, "as I said before," and was noticeably unfriendly. Her tone felt dismissive and intimidating, and there was no effort to show basic courtesy or value customer loyalty. Experiences like this drive customers away. I won't shop here again. The entire wallet was barely more than that so needless to say we didn't do it. I will take it somewhere not associated with this store and the dates people were also a bit rude to boot. He brought me the size I needed, but the pair of boots he gave me to try on looked very worn. I asked if they were the floor sample, and he said no--that would be the actual pair I'd be receiving. I told him I was absolutely not taking them, especially since the pair I returned was in great condition. He didn't offer to check the back for another pair, so I asked if he could order a new pair and have it shipped to me. He told me it would take nine days, which I was fine with. Throughout the entire interaction, he barely spoke to me--no greeting, no "thank you," no asking if I needed help with anything else. At the end, he simply handed me my receipt and said nothing. There was no "thank you for your business," "thank you for visiting," or any basic customer service. Overall, the experience felt very rude and unprofessional. I believe the staff needs additional training in customer service, especially since they are in customer-facing roles. The experience was very unpleasant. I have a wonderful customer assistant. His name is Khaleel and I would recommend him highly. He attended to anything I asked for quickly and efficiently. He is light spirited, and funny. He always answers a text. I've recently purchased a jacket, he has gone way over the top to assist me. I'm going today to switch the size. I've never had any problem at this store. I think I just got one really exceptional customer assistant. It's clean. The bathrooms are readily available and they are clean. They offer you water. Let me try on as many things as I wanted. My card was fraudulently used on December 2024 at 6 East 57th street NYC. I went to the store on 57th Street in Manhattan , NY.and asked for help. Insisted to see the person who used my visa card. I met Ms. Arianny, she told me she is a member of management the team and she will take care of my problem. I gave her all necessary documentation including my police report. She promised to call me the same day. She did not call and I went back to see her again a week later. She wasn't available. I met Mr. Aldonado, who was very professional and assured me that Ms.Arianny will call me. Ms. Arianny is in charge of my complaint. This review for the Louis Vuitton Manhasset is waaaaay overdue but as I am preparing my review I am soo terribly displeased with some of what I am reading. I have to disagree with some of the comments here. I have been greeted, and helped by the client advisors here on every visit to this location. I have been frequently visiting this location recently and have always experienced an excellent interaction. I always look for Helena but she is usually busy with another client (which you will find happens with the good CA's) so other CA's are happy to help and I will wait to work with my CA. Its a mutual understanding in this boutique that customers are acknowledged and helped. CA's will let each other know when their client comes in and they will work their way to help you. I have recommended Helena to many of my friends and am quick to share her information to die hard LV fans. Those who look for her come back to thank me because she is patient, genuine, and has a definite sense to build customer rapport. She doesn't look at you as another sale, she treats you as a relationship. To be honest, many people who come in often already have a good idea what they are looking for. I was never offered champagne (I received import candy and sweets instead cuz my CA is awesome) but I was freely given time, feedback and comfort to peruse their collection. Isn't that what shopping for luxury handbags and accessories are all about anyway? The opportunity to visit, try on, and enjoy their label? You should not expect to have time to sit and sip, or believe you deserve preferential treatment. If you are provided such an opportunity, appreciate it and don't be entitled. This is a huge misconception from customers visiting luxury boutiques. Client advisors assist you to make qualified choices, they are not there to serve or cater you. With that said, I have been provided bonuses in terms of end of year appreciation gifts, and cultural special edition tokens but most importantly I value the friendship with my CA. She helps secure items I am searching for and she allows me the time to touch, look, and compare. My new CA has been working with me for a short time, maybe half a year but already i can tell you she keeps her eye out for exclusive collector pieces she thinks will suit me and notifies me of any special events/parties/exhibits/pop-ups. She goes over and beyond the call of duty and for this reason I will forever continue to shop with her at LV or anywhere she decides to partner with. She has intimate knowledge, understanding and appreciation for my style and often times will steer me away from a potentially bad choice. Remember, client and advisor relationship should be mutual. They work hard to help promote the line, doesn't hurt to reciprocate your appreciation. What more can you ask for in a client advisor relationship? Helena is as good as it gets. I've always knew that people are treated better if dressed nicely (also a sad truth) and kept this in mind before I even came, and was still treated poorly. My mother and I came to this specific LV to purchase bags, and not only did they have nothing in stock, but we were treated poorly. No one wears a name tag so I didn't get the lady's name working the door for waitlist, but I can't help that it was intentional. We were told the wait would be 40 mins and she took down my name and number. We were told to come back once a text was sent out. After almost an hour had almost passed, I still did not receive anything and noticed the lady looking back at my mom and I time to time but didn't think much of it. My mom went up to go ask how much longer and was told to wait another ten mins for the text. I went up to ask instead and saw that my name was not even on the waitlist. She asked to see my first text, but what first text?? I never even received a text. She then said some people don't receive a text from third parties... clearly this isn't the case as I have no problems with my phone. I even received the text instantly from the only nice person at LV who helped my mom and I look at bags. After complaining and seeing how more Asian people were turned away at the door, she let us in where we still had to wait for a floor associate to come help. There were two workers just walking around and standing around. Another had just finished helping a customer and ignored us. Carolina had also just finished helping a customer and immediately helped us. She was the only person that was nice and respectful. I was told that since I purchased over 30 days ago, I could only do an exchange. I explain to the manager that I was told by the sales associate that sold us the handbag that it would be no problem to return it if she didn't like it. Their glossy image in magazines and shiny store do not tell you the reality of putting their clients in their place, which is evidently under the rank of a shop assistant. Great store location! The store is on the smaller side but the staff here are great and the attention of service I receive here is always top notch. It's located in the Americana Mall complex so parking ample and getting to this location is a breeze from all major highways. I once had a strap from one of my epi collection purses start to fray on the edges and brought it here and it was reparied within a week and at no charge. read more
