I wanted to enjoy shopping at this store, but my shopping experience turned out pretty bad...My husband and I came to this store with a personal shopper. We wanted to purchase five items in total. A SA asked me for my passport, and she said I can only purchase up to three items. So, I told her that my husband will buy the other items. Then, the SA went to the back office, and the store manager, Alessia came out and she told us that it is due to"company policy", and did not let us buy more than three items. We had to choose only three items among them. At Harrods, someone told me that a tourist can buy up to three items for six months. At this store, I was told that only three items per household. The other stores in London except for Harrods do not have any purchase limit.
Furthermore, this store overcharged me. When I got on the plane, I noticed the overcharge. I contacted with the store right away. They were not able to process the refund. I thought the reason why they could not process the refund was something related to foreign exchange, however, when Chanel also overcharged me one month later, they processed the refund as soon as they noticed without asking me anything. This store manager gave me the options, provide her our bank or credit card information with security code to process the refund, or issue credit notes with an expiration date.
We never give any sensitive information to the third party. I declined the credit notes option, either as it can be used only within U.K., but she issued the credit notes anyway with saying"Look forward to welcoming you."
I also asked about the "company policy", but she never answers my inquiry about the "company policy". read more
