I've been a customer of LOUD security for two years. I haven't had any issues. Our technician installed our system, and left an info sheet of how to operate our Honeywell system. It's basically a keypad instruction form for dummies! I love that he gave us that info! It makes any issue that could come up, easy to fix! I was just offered a really good deal on security through my cable company! We have all the "fixins", when it comes to our cable, plus home phone, and the fastest internet they offer! They wanted to add on security and give me all of this for a price seven dollars cheaper than I currently pay! I had to decline! They couldn't believe it! I have a love for small business, and don't want the "big guys" to drive the "little man" out of business! I have two friends that work for LOUD, and they are why I'm staying loyal! The level of incompetence at Loud Security is beyond imaginable. But at least try: Think about a team of ill equipped technicians joined with a customer service team that is dismissive, unresponsive, and generally clueless. Then imagine that they are actually in charge of keeping your home or office safe. This is what you are dealing with at Loud Security. Expect poorly trained technicians bumbling through your install, unable to troubleshoot their way out of a shoebox. And when you need support, expect none. Followed by a bill. I am more than happy to write this review. I was struggling with the decision on a security system: who to go with, should I even do it? I had a few companies come out and give me quotes and I even had a couple of on line companies quote me. I had called Loud to talk to them and get a quote. I called them because they are the security system for the business I work for. The person I talked too was very friendly and helpful. The earliest time I could get someone to come out was the following week. Well....I really wanted to make my decision by the end of the week. I was asked if I could be put on hold. Next thing.....the Director of Sales was on the phone with me. I explained my situation, why I wanted a system, my financial status, etc.... He quoted me OVER THE PHONE !!!! We talked about everything.....for over an hour. He was so helpful.....I was impressed beyond impressed. They were so willing to work with me, financially. I agreed to go with them. Had everything all worked out. But, overnight, I had 2nd thoughts......due to my finances ONLY. I called the field guy, who wrote up the quote, and told him I just couldn't do this right now, but would in a couple of months. Guess what? I received a call for the Director of Sales......again.... LOL He agreed to extend some options and even agreed to install early. I had a slight issue with my key fob.....BOOM.....had a guy out there and fixed that day. I'm here to tell you......these folks are so kind and completely understand any situation. They are willing to work with you and do anything they can to help you. I am thoroughly impressed and so very happy with Loud. I would recommend them to anyone......TO THE WORLD! read more

DO NOT use LOUD security system. We signed a 3-year contract with them and have regretted it ever since. The installation was very expensive, despite having bought a house which was supposedly pre-wired for LOUD, and the monthly fee is expensive too compared with the industry standard. Our alarm has beeped warnings at us several times in the middle of the night, waking us up for no apparent reason, and when I called to find out why this was happening I was simply told that we'd have to pay to have a service technician come to take a look at it. The phone app does not work well sometimes, and the control panel in the house is quite unintuitive. We recently had an emergency alarm go off (I don't know why it happened) at were not at all happy with the response and follow-up from LOUD. For all of these reasons and more, I asked to be released without penalty from our service contract but the General Manager of the company said no. I deeply regret having signed up with this company and would encourage everyone out there to think very carefully before signing a 3-YEAR contract. Caveat emptor! read more

So, i'd written a review about my horrible experience months ago. After i had paid for service and went unmonitored for 2 years. Got a $99 service charge and left 2-3 messages to operations managers that were never returned when i learned i was unmonitored for 2 whole years. I spoke to the owner, he blamed me for everything. I threatened to call Clark Howard, he told me if i'd listened to Clark, i'd know better than to sign a contract with an alarm company. Fast forward a few months, i get notified that i had an outstanding balance after i paid my Final Bill in May. I though final meant final. Silly me. Take the owner's advice and never sign a contract. I paid almost $600 in early termination fees with this horrible company. NEVER sign with them! read more

Away from this company. If I can leave negative star I will do so. The Worst, Terrible & Rudest & Unprofessional customer service. We inform them we will move on March, and got confirmed the balance is zero. 3 months later, we receive a statement said we have past due for the past 2 months!!!!! We called the customer service several times and be transferred to different ladies. They just keep on trying to win our new location business and never got things fixed. They keep on saying if our new location sign the contract with them the past 2 month bill can be waived. Today we firmly tell them we will not let our new location using Loud service and they told us we had to give them 60 days notice from a renewal date we didn't even know about. On March 29th, our old location receive their commercial letter to the new house owner and try to get the new house owner's business. How dishonest company is. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!!!! read more

This is the worst service we have ever received. These people can't be trusted. Stear clear!! Loud made many, many mistakes in our home and then wouldn't take responsibility. They hid behind their contract and charged us for 3 years of monitoring after we only had the service for 3 weeks and asked to cancel. They have non interest in customer service...only in getting you to sign the contract and then using that against you. Poor customer service and lousy, uneducated technicians. I had a tech come out and he installed a ceiling mount glass break sensor on the wall closest to the window (hardly the idea location to place it). We also had issues with faulty equipment such as the battery backup that refused to hold a charge. I wish I could recommend these people, but their service center is rude, the technology ineffective and the technicians are clueless. read more

After being a customer with LOUD for 8 years on a 3 year contract they want me to pay a cancellation fee because I haven't fulfilled my obligations. If you don't have a copy of your contract with LOUD get one. You are locked into an auto renewal contract for LIFE unless you give them 60 days notice before the end of your contract... Do you know what month your contract ends?? All I wanted to do was go to Cellular backup for my alarm and LOUD wanted an additional investment of $299 plus a monthly increase in my monitoring charge... shop around there are businesses that want you business that will convert your system for nothing. read more

We were with Alarm Associates for over 30 years (two homes and a business) when they sold out to Loud. We had to have some service done on our system before we they sold out late last year, and we went ahead and put everything on a digital system versus phone line. Mind you we paid at time of service for the materials and service call. It increased our bill by $30 per quarter, and we had to sign a 6 month contract with Alarm Associates. Didn't think it was a big deal because we had no intention of changing from someone we had been with for so long. Then they sold to Loud. We had to make an unanticipated move in March to another state. Called to cancel service and over and over again we had to call them to cancel. Finally they sent us the paperwork to get it done. In the beginning of June we get a bill from them for one quarter. I called and discussed this with a Loud associate and he told me since I didn't fulfill my 6 month contract with Alarm Associate I had to pay, even though I didn't just cancel it to go to a new company, I made a move out of state. He told me that I still had to pay. I asked him to speak with his supervisor to see if they could waive the fee. He told me that my account was one of the accounts discussed in the manager's weekly meeting and it was determined that I would have to pay. Not happy about it. I know I signed a six month contract with Alarm Associates but I didn't just randomly decide to leave this company. I had to move. I know one thing. This never would have been an issue with Alarm Associates. I could call Tom and we always talked like friends in all concerns with them. And them having a weekly manager's meeting to discuss accounts tells me they are having a retention problem. When that happens it means there are problems with the company. read more

We are opening our business soon and needed to get our security system installed as soon as possible. I reached out to a representative from LOUD on a Thursday afternoon and they sensed our urgency. They were impressively responsive and came out to our location the very next day and provided our business with a quote on the spot. Not only were they professional, they were quick and their customer service is excellent. Our technician Sue was extremely easy to work with and remained in contact with me throughout the entire process. She answered every single question that I had within minutes via text messaging or email. Our system were completely installed the following week and we're now sitting pretty. Loud has to be the most difficult company of any sort to deal with when trying to terminate services. I attempted to terminate their monitoring services in December 2014. As of June 2015, I am still arguing with their very rude employees regarding the amount of my final invoice. Not only do they insist upon erroneously interpreting the contract that they assumed from my original security company in such a way that I have to pay them for an additional six months beyond the time they stopped monitoring my system, but they keep adding random charges to the amount due. If you are considering using Loud, I suggest you reconsider and stay far away from these people. They are horrible! read more

I had a security system for years which went out of business in 2009. They sold their clients to Loud. Again, a standard monitoring company with quarterly payments. When I sold my house they asked that I sign a cancellation form. That seemed a little strange. I had a lot going on, quickly signed it and sent it back. Now they want me to pay for six month of monitoring on a house I no longer own. This is an obvious scham and I would not use them. Be warned. I don't intend to pay them of course but its a hassle. If I could give negative stars I would. Rudest customer service I've ever had to deal with. Worse than Comcast and everyone knows comcast is a joke. I've had loud for 3 years. This last year my security system has not worked. I called twice about it and never managed to get a technician to call me to schedule an appointment. After a year I realized if I have been without it this long I clearly am wasting my money. Josh in customer service told me I would need to send in written notice and sent me via email the cancellation form. Sent it in Aug 1st with a payment. Still got a bill. Called and spoke with Tammy who said she'd call me back. Never did. Got an invoice for a 60 day cancellation fee. Called and ended up speaking to a supervisor who was an absolute nightmare. Rude! She yelled out my full name during the conversation as if I was her child doing something I shouldn't be. Told me she was doing me a service by allowing me to cancel. Told me she was revoking my last invoice because of everything I have now put the company through when I still have 8 days to pay. She talked down to me the whole time. Tried to tell me nothing is wrong with my security system and that they are showing it working right now even though I'm standing in front of it with it turned off. It will not even power on. How can I go a year without it on and no one notices?? Because they aren't monitoring anything. I can not believe they have the nerve to treat people the way I was just treated. Unbelievable! Never again could they earn my business back and I will be sure to tell everyone go with any company BUT Loud security. This review is not about the product but the personality of one of their workers. Last week my mother received a call from a Bionca Blamo to confirm they will be coming to complete the install for my father and mother which was nice because my father forgot. My mother had Alzheimer's disease, but she always loved answering the phone. She got on the phone and multiple times my mother asked what was the call about, I was about to step in and take over the call so we didn't miss any important information, but mom was persistent about not handing the phone over. This young woman was VERY patient and caring on the phone. She didn't rush, she didn't yell or get agitated but simply kept repeating herself, literally a minimum of 6 times. My father and I was chuckling as we listened on the other end on the phone in the kitchen. My father stepped in on the other line and told the young woman thank you so much have a great day. But my mother yelled and said get off the phone we are talking, and the young lady laughed and told my father hello and explained the reason for her call (not knowing we knew because we were on the other line laughing at her being so sweet repeating herself for my mother.) my dad asked her if she was from the North and she told him yes and said was born in New York and lived in Jersey. And my mother lit up and said where in New Jersey, the young lady told her and surprisingly my mother told her where she used to live. My mother hasn't mentioned a memory in months so this was shocking. The lady told her she knew exactly where that was because that's the same street as bowcraft a staple of the city. And my mom said "yes bowcraft! I used to take my kids there all the time when my husband was away for work" when I say I fell to my knees in tears because I've had my mother here physically but mentally I have not in a long time. And for her to bring up something so memorable to me was so amazing. I'm crying thinking about it now. And I lie to you not! This young woman shared her Jersey memories with my mom and my mother was able to relate and she had such happiness in her face. I just want to thank loud for having an amazing employee handling these calls, She doesn't know how much she impacted us by just doing something so simple of talking and being personable. It's honestly the little things, the simplest of things can change someone's life. My mother passed away 3 days after this. And me and my father was so happy to have had seen this amazing smile on my mother's face that we haven't seen in a while. We thank you so very much Bionca. read more

I had a issue with Loud and after several attempts it was resolved to my satisfaction. I received a call from a Loud Security Manager who fully explained Loud's policy on terminating the contract. He understood my confusion about the policy and waived the termination fee. I am grateful since this was the only issue I had with Loud Security in the 8 years I had them as my alarm company. Loud did make it right and I will continue to use them in the future. read more

This would be the last security company I would choose to use. I was with another company that got bought out by loud. Loud had me sign a contract that automatically renews for 12 months every year unless you notify them 60 days prior to renew date. Unlike other companies that give you free expensive systems I just kept my old system. I just got roped into a contract and at that a real bad one. A good company would give you something to justify the contract and also would go month to month after the contract was over. I can see why they buy other security companies because I would never choose to do business with them. I hope they choke on the 7 months monitoring payment they get for the remaining term of my contract. I was going to get a wireless transmitter installed because I got UVerse for telephone service and it updates at 2am in the morning and the phone connection goes down and set off the alarm. They asked me to sign a 3 year contract and still wanted to charge me the same fee I got another alarm company to do it for with out a contract. They just want to trap their customers because they don't want to compete in the market. They should go to China to do business. You better realize when you are in a contract if the system goes down or you want to upgrade you are at the other companies mercy to fix and charge what they want. I am so excited to write the review they asked for after being roped into their stupid contract. I couldn't be happier to leave them. Heck I am paying 7 months worth of service for nothing just to switch and am still happy just to leave them. read more

I've been with LOUD Security for since 2007 and never written a review, but I think that they way they just helped me with my daughter was perfect. After having their service for 7 years, I called them because my daughter had just had a break in. Not only were they able to have a sales person out on the same day, but he was able to activate the system in my daughters townhouse right then and there. She didn't even have to wait until the next morning for an installer to show up. Needless to say, it helped both of us sleep better than night knowing that she was protected. LOUD Security is terrible. As seen in other reviews, they don't return phone calls, they try to charge for things they shouldn't charge for, and they don't care about their customers' safety at all whatsoever. I will say when I set up my service the technician was nice, knowledgable, and efficient- I was fooled into thinking they were a great company with this initial exchange. Our panic alarm goes off frequently for absolutely no reason; and when we turn on the alarm to leave the house, 1 out of every 8 times the alarm goes off for one reason or another. The operator says we are pressing the panic button, which we're definitely not. When I called to have someone come out to repair, they told me its going to be $125. I've emailed the company's president, spoken to the Operations Manager, and called mulitple customer service representatives. I've never heard back from President John Loud, and the Operations Manager doesn't return my calls. One customer service agent told me he'd call me back before 6pm, it was 4:45 at the time, after he spoke to his boss about trying to get around the $125 service fee, and I never heard back. I wasn't surprised. I'm attempting to cancel service completely, we'll see if I have any luck. read more

My original monitoring company went out of business and we wound up with these people. We never had any problems until a storm knocked out my system. I called and the next day they sent a tech out. Very nice young man but obviously untrained. He checked the panel and was on the phone with the office the whole time while they talked him through the repair. He could not get the system to communicate so he replaced the panel, more expense then I had money for. He said because he was having problems I would not be billed for more than an hour at $75/hour. The next week, he came back to replace some contacts and again tried to get the system to communicate. The storm obviously knocked out my phone lines as well and I did not know it since my phone comes through my router. I got the phone line fixed which was very expensive as well.The third trip to get the system working was another tech, very nice but untrained again. He still could not get the system to communicate and in the process knocked out my phone line again. He also did something to the system and it no longer worked at all. He tried to sell me a wireless system, I told him no, told him to cancel my monitoring, asked for my money back for the 3 months I just paid for, especially since at this point I have had no monitoring for 3 weeks. He told me I wouldn't get the money back for that but probably would for the upcoming months I already paid for. I contacted the company through email asking to cancel any future monitoring, refund my money for what I paid for and to send me a bill for what repairs they did but I would subtract the cost of getting the phone line repaired again and pay them the difference. I heard back from the company stating they will bill me for what they already did but would send out an experienced tech, fix my system and my phone line at no additional cost and give me three months of free monitoring. They came out, got everything fixed, it took 2 guys four hours to figure out what kind of mess had been made. Well, don't you know, I got a bill for the panel,1.75 hours (.75 more than they said they would charge me for) at $75/hr for the first visit. The second visit, they billed me at $85/hr so I basically got overcharged around $66, guess that's how they planned on paying for the three months they were going to give me free. I called to discuss my bill, was told to speak to the same person who arranged everything, left a message, never heard back. Oh but that is not the end of the story. I got a bill for those 3 "free" months. I sent another email requesting to cancel my service and was not paying for monitoring. I get a call from "customer retention" while I was not at home. Was told they investigated my problem and would like to discuss it with me, I tried to call them back, no one answered. I sent an email and requested communication through email because of my work schedule, no one responded. I tried to call again, left a message, no one returned my call. I wrote another email, told them now that I paid the repair bill, they have no use for me. I'm sure I will not get a response! I am through with them, such terrible customer service, no wonder they need a customer retention department! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!! read more

terrible customer service. system never installed correctly. when technician came out (very nice person, in all fairness), they forgot the keypad they were supposed to install. incorrect installation caused $700 in false alarm fines. (they installed keypad in the basement. house was for sale and agents and house sitter had to run through the house to shut it off) Loud refused to pay. i had to sue them in small claims court. judge told me (by the way, loud did the security system at the cobb county small claims court, where i was suing) judge agreed that i was correct that Loud gave terrible customer service but that i should have hired someone else to correct Loud's problems. I would have won the case for reimbursement of the work. but the judge stated i still had to pay the false alarm fees. read more
