Mo is the best. When I first met her, I had been suffer from debilitating pain in my chest due to Costochondritis. I had seen several massage therapist, chiropractors and physical therapist and had no relief from the pain. I'd never had acupuncture before and was a bit nervous about the process (& needles!), but Mo explained everything in depth, both before and during the treatment, and put me totally at ease. I almost lost my foot last year because of nerve damage in the bottom of my left foot. I went to Dr. Alexander a few times a week and was astoundingly better in a short period of time thanks to her acupuncture treatments. Amazing experience! I've been seeing medical doctors for about a year now for some neurological issues with no results at all. Just got home from my second session with Maureen and it was a mix of leaving your Doctors' office feeling healed, having just finished a meal with your Grandmother and having someone be more interested in your well being than you are. She is truly a natural modern healer who incorporates the sometimes confusing and intimidating world of Chinese medicine with easy to understand connections to what will address your issues and turn them around quickly. Now... to be honest, the procedure of acupuncture is something I've never enjoyed or looked forward to. The needles always scared me and I was worried about experiencing pain while being healed in that vulnerable position of face up on a table. I met Mo Alexander in 2012 prior to heading to do a week long cleanse and she gave me a session while she was completing her schooling and getting her degree and license. She did a great job healing my ankle and told me my spleen was weak. So I went to the cleanse with this in mind... and on the 5th day, saw my spleen heal and get restored in a way I know I would not have had she not read my symptoms accurately and given me a treatment. The last few years I have thought about going back to get treatments but was too scared. Today I overcame that fear and went to her Venice office for a treatment on my ankle and for some kidney issues. I love my sessions with Mo. She is very talented at what she does and very unique. My mom was in town from Europe and she has severe back issues (spinal stenosis, vertebra gliding etc).
