Moreover, when my dinner date hardly touched his desert because he didn't want to load up on on sugar (as if the all bread and beurre sel he gulfed down earlier that evening didn't contain any carbs.....sugar is evil, right......oi vey, men and their diets) the staff was kind enough to offer a cheese platter instead, with the option of me still attacking on the snubbed desert. As starters there were little rolls of veal with truffled mayonnaise, oyster with red beet sorbet and a tatar from tunafish. First course was tatar from seabass with jalapeno-pepper, scallops and a little orangeice, acoompanied by a piece of roasted skin from chicken and a puree from avocados. Creative and very thoughtful combination. Second jumboshrimps in a light potatoe nest with spinach and a fine cream of vegetables aside served in the shell of the shrimp. Excellent in presentation and taste. Main course the fillet of venison with its sauce, perfectly cooked. A peachsorbet with mint tea finished that perfect dinner. This restaurant was no exception. As you can see from my pictures the presentation of the dishes is very good and the taste when taking that first bite is equally good. As a starter I got a winter salad, which might not sound that exciting but ended up being the highlight that evening. I am not saying the main course (haddock) was bad, in fact it was great as well, but the starter really did it. The restaurant seem to have a focus on fish which suits me just fine and they recommend good wines to go with it. The menu is entirely in Dutch though, but the staff will help you out with that (after getting over the initial language barrier. ;)) so I can't really let that affect my judgement. Try it out!

As someone who isn't from the Netherlands I ordered these expecting them to be good. The tortilla chips were too salty and they had three sauces on the side, not even overtop of the nachos. It was 9€ for the strawberry daiquiri and 9€ for the nachos.
