I booked three services together for an efficient spa day, but waited about 45 minutes for my second service. My nail appointment then ran so long that I was late for my final service. Apparently relaxation requires patience. ‍Waxing: Just OK for the price. Pleasant technician, but the work wasn't very thorough. Once I was in better lighting, I noticed quite a few hairs left behind. Mani/Pedi: Nope. I paid $120 for their top-of-the-line mani/pedi, and despite taking a full two hours, the service itself was surprisingly superficial. The technician seemed uncertain, worked very slowly, and didn't have the sponge needed for the French ombré gel manicure I requested. The pedicure had no polish, my toenails weren't buffed despite my specifically requesting it, and quite a bit of thick skin around the nails was left behind. I actually went home and finished the pedicure myself -- not quite the pampering finale I had envisioned. The technician replaced the hand and foot massage with a superficial application of lotion. By then, after two hours, I was late for my next service and just ready to move on. ‍Massage with Shannon: Absolutely. This was the redeeming service. I had a wonderful deep-tissue massage and body scrub that put me into a deep state of relaxation. The temple pressure during the scalp portion was too strong for me and took a few reminders to lighten up, but everything else was excellent. Shannon even turned on the shower for me afterward and brought me a fresh robe -- thoughtful touches that made a difference. Bottom line: Massage with Shannon? I'd go back. Waxing? Just OK for the price. Mani/pedi? Nope.

Terrible customer service and zero respect for appointments…read more I booked an appointment two weeks ago with Sky. When I walked in today at 9:00 AM, I was told she was on vacation. While it's annoying their online booking allowed that, I understand mistakes happen. However, what happened next was unacceptable. Another technician started on my nails, but 15 minutes into the service, a woman and her daughter walked in saying they just called and were told to come down. My technician literally stopped working on me, packed up her things, and told me to go sit down and wait for someone else so she could take them instead. Giving away a paying client's technician mid-service to accommodate a last-minute call is incredibly unprofessional. I sat there waiting, and still, no one else came to help me. I just kept being told someone else would help me "when they were done." When I pointed out how unprofessional this was, the technician got incredibly rude and defensive, snapping that she "isn't a manager." I ended up walking out. I work long hours at the hospital and was hoping to use my rare time off to relax, not be subjected to unnecessary stress and rude attitude. Paying for a service is not supposed to go this way. I will absolutely not be returning.

There's so many good positive things to say about the experience I've had at Lotus Day Spa and with the owner Nicole. I'll begin by saying I've had many massages over the years and have never come across a massage therapist like Nicole. Intuitive, gentle, knowledgeable, compassionate, professional, caring, and sweet are just some of the qualities that immediately come to mind. I recently went in with some back and hip pain that was preventing me from sleeping well. Not only did she address these issues, as she began my massage she asked if I had been getting a lot of headaches. She also asked me about my gut health (I have a chronic condition) and she could tell I was inflamed so she spent a fair amount of time on my abdominal area. I don't know how she knew but she did. It's all in her hands and how gifted and spiritual she is. That night, I slept like a baby. The next day, my hip pain had decreased considerably and I could tell my gut was working as it was supposed to again. Nicole is pretty darn amazing. Call her and see for yourself. I can tell you that this place is nothing but horrible. The place has only one employee, amd she knows nothing about massage therapy. Her shop has a very dingy smell, her price is low because of these facts and then she will raise the price on you kinder she's finished and it's time to pay up . Lisa does everything from cranio-facial massage, and all kinds of typical massage, as well as aroma therapy, sound healing with Crystal and Tibetan bowls, and she's even trained in past life regression therapy...
