I had told her I was holding a lot of stress and tension in my shoulders. We talked about what I was looking for and molded my visit to fit that. Amanda routinely asked about the pressure of the massage in case she needed to adjust. The ambience was calming and relaxing. After my massage, my shoulders felt so much better. I'm glad to have found Amanda. I will be making more visits to her now that I know how great she is at providing care and how she's helped me feel better. I walk in at 8:59 and text my sister at exactly 8:59 to let her know I was having a 30 minutes massage next to her. The only thing that was unsettling was that a man came out from the back and took the payment, he then proceeded to say "tip her" and it was just the way he said it and how awkward it made the room. Granted my husband was going to tip her anyway, but to demand a tip in an aggressive manner was uncomfortable. It gave us reason to believe that that is the only form of payment to these women and the man keeps most of their earnings. Whatever the case may be, tipping is a gratitude not an expectation and I can't help but wonder what would have happened if my husband or anyone else in that position for that matter had no intentions of tipping.
