10/10 experience! Amazing service and delicious food! Our server, Abby, really made our time here special. She was so attentive and kind, we truly appreciated her warm energy. The food was absolutely perfect and the drinks were also amazing! Not sure why this place has anything less than 4.5 stars, they deserve a 5/5!!

Server was very kind and knowledgeable. I enjoyed my meal, but had a couple pieces of pasta stuck together that didn't seem to be cooked fully. I let the server know and he was grateful for the feedback.

Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly and we got there at the beginning of happy hour so it was slow but when we left it got very busy. The food took a little longer as with the bill but the quality of service and food made up for it. The pasta was the best pasta I've ever had hands down. They make it daily, I had to eat it slow to savor every bite. We are visiting from Ontario and if you are in the area and want amazing quality food at good price, visit during happy hour ( based on the time change it was dinner time for us anyway ).

Heard about this place through one of J's friends. Lot 1 Pasta Bar is sister restaurant to Bin 4 Burger Lounge (which is across the street). We came for their half price pasta and wine (after 9:00pm, dine in only). Wine on tap is the only ones you get half off. Dropped in on a late Saturday evening after some swing dancing. We were worried about the time (we came in at 11:30pm) but they sat us without a problem. The menu is short and sweet. Starters, salads and house made pasta. There's half a dozen types of pastas to choose from. They have a monthly fresh sheet special menu. - Montelvini merlot/cabernet/sangiovese ($3.50 for 5oz) - Mt. Boucherie pinot gris ($3.75 for 5oz) - Montelvini prosecco ($3.50 for 5oz) - Moroccan chicken rigatoni ($6.00) - chicken, red pepper, artichokes, onion, cashews, coconut milk and cilantro. Not bad for a fusion dish. Liked the spiced. This was a small size which was a huge portion. I ate all of mine but the other two had leftovers for the next day. - Pesto chicken radiatori ($6.50) - chicken, sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, onions, basil pesto cream and parmesan. Pesto is always good in my books. Nice chunks of artichoke. The sauce was a bit liquified; would have preferred it to be thicker. - Four cheese rigatoni ($6.50) - mushrooms, smoked bacon, caramelized onion, jalapeño, cream, gruyere, fontina, aged cheddar and parmesan. Very, very cheesy. Perfect late night spot! We were very satisfied with our meal and drinks. 3.5 stars.

4.5. Food and service were definitely 5 star level but I dinged it for small reasons I explain at…read morethe end. The food here was absolutely superb. And the menu was inspired - clearly rooted in Italian cuisine but very much their own takes. I will let my photos further describe the food. Visiting from the US, where service is efusive to a fault, we struggled in a lot of restaurants we visited in Canada to interpret whether our servers were being frosty toward us or if it was just a cultural difference. Not so here. Our server was super warm and gracious and attentive. Additionally, Italian food is fraught for me because I am not only pescatarian but allergic to basil. And I really wanted pasta. Identifying which dish I should order that actually had what I wanted to eat but also didn't have any of the things I can't eat was a multi-step team effort and I really appreciated how patient and helpful our server was about this. He had to go to the kitchen and ask a lot of questions. My only only complaints are it was a touch pricey and the fact that, because it is so good and therefore popular and crowded, vibes were hectic. Ambiance, especially leading up to the front entrance, is old world and warm and exciting, however tables were very close together. Volume was an issue. I struggled to leave our table without hitting our neighbors and we could hear other people's conversations. The front entrance was especially hectic as people waited for their tables to become available. I really believe that the ambiance/vibes are a huge part of the dining experience and at a price point like this I expect not to feel crowded in during my meal. Other than that though, this was really lovely and a highlight of our dining in Victoria.

The space dates back to the 1920's and is surprisingly quiet. Smallish, with high ceilings and not jammed full of tables. Perhaps a little dark. We ordered martini's and asked for the olives to be stuffed with blue cheese. No problem, we'll stuff some olives with cheese. Dirty martini, no issue, would you like a little vermouth in them. That is the level of detail that did not seem to be an issue with the staff at all. What a gem of a place, and we'd just ordered drinks. The Caesar salad that we shared was excellent, the bread and green olive tapenade amazing. We tested it, and then saved it to take back to our hotel for snacks. My lasagna was 100% outstanding. We make a mean lasagna at home with home made noodles, but we have to figure out what they do to make the tomato sauce leave a taste in your mouth that we can't seem to replicate. Still some work to do. K's tagliatelle alla Genovese with was also excellent though K thought the steak would have some chew like steak. That said it's on the menu as braised, and was so good. We resisted dessert, even though it was calling me! A complimentary limoncello capped what was an amazing couple of hours at a place we will most certainly return to. They give you a two hour window to arrive eat, and allow the next service to commence. We have zero issue with that as it's important you allow others to enjoy a gem such as this is!

My friends and I had a lovely dinner here the other night…read more We were all in town for a wedding and knew we had to make an early night of it, so we made an early reservation, for 5pm (when the restaurant opens for dinner). We were the first patrons there, and we opted to sit in the charming courtyard/patio, which is enclosed by ivied fences and a wrought iron front gate. This front patio feels very intimate, but the restaurant interior also seemed warm and cozy, with various niches for more private diners. The menu highlighted homemade pastas, but there was a good variety of seafood and meat entrees, along with vegetarian options, too. This restaurant has a few features we really REALLY liked: -an "early bird special", which is a 3-course meal offered from 5-5:30pm for $39. -all meals are available in full or half portions. This is FANTASTIC and I wish all restaurants did this. -the food and server were excellent! (The only lukewarm review was from one friend who said his meatball dish was just "okay". The rest of us LOVED our meals. And the creme brûlée was one of the best I ever had). When we left the restaurant, it was totally PACKED, so clearly it is a very popular place here. I'd seriously recommend making a reservation.
