This is really a kid food place, like Old Spaghetti Factory dressed up a bit. The ambiance was really nice and the music not too loud. The staff are nice, though a little slow. The food, however, is mostly just blah average nothing special in any way, with one exception: the honey drizzle on pepperoni pizza was a good combination and the pizza baked just right. The kids got tired of the honey flavor and wouldn't eat two slices of the personal pizza so dad ate them. If you are adults wanting high quality restaurant food this isn't the place. read more

I love Fiamo; it's one of my favorite go-to Italian restaurants in downtown Victoria. It's never too busy and has a lot of seating, so you're usually fine without a reservation. The tables outside are so cute and totally make you feel like you're transported to Italy. Their selection of pastas is honestly the widest variety I've seen at most Italian restaurants, offering lamb, sausage, chicken, etc., and super creative gourmet pastas in two sizes, which I love for sharing. And of course, you must get an Aperol. At first, they served it to me in a short glass, which made me a little sad, but with a quick request, my server was great and brought my next one in a tall glass. I haven't stayed for dessert here yet, but I'm looking forward to it next time I'm home. Really great service, free focaccia starters, and really yummy food. The butternut squash ravioli was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. And I am 53! I reacted with "mmmm, oh my goodness, this is soooo good" with every single bite. Even my Caesar salad was phenomenal. Wine was excellent, service was perfect; loved sitting on the patio. I wish I lived nearby so I could go back regularly! The bread was the only thing that was a little disappointing, but who wants to fill up on bread anyway when the rest of the meal was so fantastic!? My husband loved his meal as well. This was probably my favorite meal on our most recent trip to Victoria. All the meals were delicious. We got the kids "pasta with cream sauce" and it was by far the most sophisticated kids pasta we've ever had! It was essentially the complex adult cream sauce base on spaghetti or penne. I wanted to swap out whatever sauce accompanied my parmigiana pasta side to this one, but our server assured me it would be just as creamy. Upon arrival it wasn't, but within 10 mins of me discussing whether or not I could try and get a side of that sauce, our server appeared with exactly that item saying she felt the dish wasn't as creamy as she'd thought so she brought extra. It's like she heard the conversation! She hadn't, but that anticipation was a first for me and took me quite by surprise! The decor was interesting, upscale, intimate, with a show stopping chandelier in the centre of the main dining room. As for the food, they were all quite enjoyable and solid dishes. The chicken was incredibly tender and the pizza was hearty. Was it the best I've ever had, not necessarily, but for less than $20 in a more upscale setting for a sharing sized pizza, it fit the bill nicely. Will definitely be back! read more

First time here and I brought my wife and four (!!) kids. Wish I took pictures of everything, but I didn't think of it on time. We were seated and served drinks immediately, followed by some pretty amazing self baked bread that was freshly made that day, along with the usual oil and vinegar dippings. They didn't have to tell one that...it was very obvious! Two of the kids (12yr and 3yr old) shared a pepperoni pizza and the other two (11yr and 6yr old) shared a half size spaghetti and meatballs. They loved their dinner and it was plentiful!! The wife and I each had a linguini carbonara, the wife a 1/2 order and I had the full order (picture!!) and it was amazing!!! When you ask a local (from another restaurant) where the best place for dessert and cocktails is you listen and you go. We were so glad we did too. Ports, wines, coffee cocktails, all work well with the dessert menu. I opted for the 10 year port and it didn't disappoint. Hints of fig and cinnamon lingered on my tongue after each sip. For dessert, we had to give several a try. The classic tiramisu, a mascarpone cheesecake and the espresso crème brulee. I have to say the cheesecake was phenomenal - smooth, light, not too sweet and paired so nicely with the fresh berries and gooseberries. My second favorite was the brulee - nice crisp top with soft smooth cool custard. The tiramisu was OK, but the chocolate top I found a little overpowering and it lost it classic taste because of it. It was a cute place too and our service was friendly, welcoming and enjoyable. A very yummy way to end our evening for sure. Happy we went. read more

We walked by this place earlier in our vacation and wanted to try it if it worked into our schedule. We got out of a movie late tonight and found ourselves wandering around looking for dinner. We happily stumbled into it again and it was open! The servers were all very friendly and we could barely take 2 sips of water before someone was refilling it. It's a bit pricey but we only got 2 entrees and our total bill after tip was CAD$45 so very affordable in the end. My husband got the Chicken Parmigiana and fell in love with it. The menu said it came with green beans which he doesn't like so he asked if they could substitute fries. They don't normally have fries but tonight, they had truffle fries as part of their special so they obliged. The fries were amazing! I got the Margherita pizza and it was also very yummy. I wish they would have had fresh mozzarella slices but it was still delicious. Overall, great good, great service, open late... it checked all the boxes! read more

My family and I had a fantastic meal here during our local tourism in the area. I ordered the strip steak, medium rare. I was able to make the necessary substitutions to make the dish compatible with my low-carb diet. There was no wait to get in and the service was attentive and without any problems at all. Waitstaff was helpful in wine pairing, suggesting a bottle the entire table of five could enjoy. The recommended white was affordable and light. For an appetizer we split the cheese and meats plate, which they call "The Bambino". It's a rotating selection of elements, and while we were there it was a great mix of options most of which were new to us. Decent portion for the price, I recommend it. My steak arrived perfectly cooked and with a nice sear on it that was just thick enough. Well-seasoned and with the right juices and consistently, it was just an excellently cooked strip. The asparagus was likewise crispy at the tips without being burned, and the stems were well cooked while maintaining a nice crunch. Lime and subtle lemon seasoning on the veggies gave them a nice hit of acid and balance. My family enjoyed their pastas and seafood as well. We did not try the pizza. I would classify this location as quiet and romantic, the lights lowered a number of times during our dinner. read more

For Victoria, I think that the is definitely one of the better places in the city. You definitely pay for what you get, and that's great food. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and ordered the half size($15). The portion size was good for me since I didn't finish it all and wouldn't have been able to finish the full ($19). The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was spized to my liking. The giant meatballs were tasty too! I like that they give you complimentary bread. We sat on the patio and our server turned the heaters on for us which was nice. It would be great if they had blankets to cover your legs as it does get chilly at night. My husband got the special which was an eggplant and pepper caprese with fig reduction and black truffle oil. Very tasty. My mom and I spilt the caprese salad. Tomatoes were not good. Or not juicy. Such a great place and our server Candace was amazing. Came for our 2nd night in Victoria. Just amazing food, flavors, and wine and beers. Try the local craft beer, it was so nice. Then we had the sautéed mushrooms which are served in a Chianti wine reduction sauce that was out of this world. Had the Lamb shanks and red Sangiovese wine - perfect for main entree. My wife had the Farafelle with pesto and sun dried tomatoes with a little Reisling wine to wash it down. The vibe of this place is so cool - old world meets new world. Really awesome! While in Victoria, a store associate at the Paradise Boutique recommended we visit Fiamo for dinner - and this place did not disappoint! Service: The service was so great. Our waitress spoke kindly, never made us feel rushed and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. They served us fresh bread before dinner - and it was so amazing. Food: DIVINE! Everything was absolutely delicious. I had a Goat Cheese and Fig pizza. The crust was so savory, the sauce - amazing, the figs - please, I want some more! If they are offering this during your visit, ordering this and it will not disappoint. Dessert: The Mascarpone Cheesecake with a Raspberry sauce - I could have eaten 2!! So delicious, savory (not too sweet), creamy...every word that goes along with delicious could be thrown into this description :) Price: The price couldn't be beat for the quality of food. My total bill was a little of $20. I highly recommend stopping in for dinner. Be sure to make reservations (if possible). We were only 2 individuals and visited during the "off season" so being seated was not a problem; however, the location is very small, so accommodating a large group will definitely require planning. read more

THE best place for a date night. Get there early and scoop out a private booth. Intimate bar with knowledgeable mixologists. A great toxicating music vibe. The food , I'm partial to their flatbreads and wines. Cheese and meats are top quality as are the pasta dishes. Coffee is Lavazza. Nicely decorated with an Italian bike theme . The first night we went just for dessert as a waitress at another restaurant recommended their tiramisu. We were definitely NOT disappointed. House-made lady fingers, delicious cream and the flavors were wonderful. We ordered mochas to go with and they were beautifully foamy and perfect for our dessert. Our waiter Russ was personable and very attentive to our needs. We spoke at length with Alissa, the manager and decided to come back for dinner the next night. After a beautiful day at Butchart Gardens and walking around Victoria, the staff greeted us and made us feel very welcome and at home. We arrived just about 5 PM (they open at 4) so the restaurant was pretty empty except for a couple and their 7 year old daughter celebrating her birthday. Wine was delicious, warm bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and dinner was DIVINE! Again the wait staff was personable, kept our water refilled. Alissa spoke with us again, at length, even though the restaurant was beginning to fill up with dinner guests. We ordered Creme Brulee and the Marscapone Cheesecake. Quite possibly better than the tiramisu! I completely recommend Fiamo if you like well prepared, delicious Italian food.
