My original appointment was good, and the owner was nice (originally). I dropped off two dresses, one of which was my wedding gown. (Ignoring the second dress that is now too small) I paid $245 for clear, cheap buttons on my wedding dress bustle (which ended up being uneven and still dragging on one side). I was unaware these are apparently the buttons she uses on ALL wedding gown bustles, regardless of style or color. Upon calling her, the owner argued with me, refused any refund, and said it was unfair of me to go elsewhere without letting her replace them with the same plastic buttons, but black. It would have been a different story if she did not yell at me over the phone when I only requested a PARTIAL refund or matching buttons to be used. I will not be going back, especially due to the owner refusing to take responsibility and blaming me for going elsewhere.

The quality of the work was to be expected. The person that did the measurements was kind and…read morepersonable. The time frame to complete the hemming project was okay especially giving it was the end of prom season. The price was much higher than I thought it would be. The web site indicated that formal wear was $75. So I thought that my dress would be about $75. It was $195!!!!!! Now, $45 of that was to bring up the shoulders which I didn't even realize needed to be done. But that means it was $150 to hem my dress that had 2 layers! Note, my dress was "flowy". They don't accept checks just debit/credit cards and cash. What I didn't realize till I got my credit bill, they charged me to use my credit card! That was never explained to me, just charged! It wasn't even listed on my receipt! So, summary, the work is fine, but be prepared to PAY A LOT! I probably wont go back, I'll try to find someone else that charges less.

We did have to go with something off the rack that could be altered due to our timeline, but my Mom look adorable and her outfit was perfect. Sandy added a simple beautiful (satin I think) trim to my Mom's top and cardigan, hemmed the pants for her and took in the top so it stayed on my Mom's shoulders (she's very little). THANK YOU for helping make my Mom feel as special as she should on my wedding day. XO
