My original appointment was good, and the owner was nice (originally). I dropped off two dresses, one of which was my wedding gown. (Ignoring the second dress that is now too small) I paid $245 for clear, cheap buttons on my wedding dress bustle (which ended up being uneven and still dragging on one side). I was unaware these are apparently the buttons she uses on ALL wedding gown bustles, regardless of style or color. Upon calling her, the owner argued with me, refused any refund, and said it was unfair of me to go elsewhere without letting her replace them with the same plastic buttons, but black. It would have been a different story if she did not yell at me over the phone when I only requested a PARTIAL refund or matching buttons to be used. I will not be going back, especially due to the owner refusing to take responsibility and blaming me for going elsewhere.

Concord High School forced us to order these black dresses (mandatory to participate in school…read moreconcerts) and when my twin girls tried them on they were far, far too long. Not sure a NCAA basketball player could wear those things without needing a hem! With a week left (I procrastinated and also thought I could do it myself -NOPE) I called around to various local tailors to comparison shop. Most were either much too pricey, rude or said they wouldn't be done in time. Finally I spoke with a very nice woman at L & B. She gave me a fair price and asked me to bring the dresses (and the twins) down that afternoon. When we arrived we found on street parking right in front (what luck!). We were greeted with friendly faces and the pinning was done quickly. We were in and out within 10-15 minutes. And the dresses were done in a timely manner and perfectly hemmed. Bottom line: fast, friendly, appropriately priced. I would recommend L & B Tailoring to everyone. You don't come across service like this much anymore!

The time frame to complete the hemming project was okay especially giving it was the end of prom season. The price was much higher than I thought it would be. The web site indicated that formal wear was $75. So I thought that my dress would be about $75. It was $195!!!!!! Now, $45 of that was to bring up the shoulders which I didn't even realize needed to be done. But that means it was $150 to hem my dress that had 2 layers! Note, my dress was "flowy". They don't accept checks just debit/credit cards and cash. What I didn't realize till I got my credit bill, they charged me to use my credit card! That was never explained to me, just charged! It wasn't even listed on my receipt! So, summary, the work is fine, but be prepared to PAY A LOT! I probably wont go back, I'll try to find someone else that charges less.

Wow...it was more than I expected but ok. My leather jacket was going to take a month (they have to send it out for cleaning? I think....) and I knew it was going to be around $55. I had a Cleary coupon stating "20% off ALL Outerwear Jackets, Coats and Parkas! This is an amazing Fall Savings! No Limits - Does not apply to Blazers and Sportcoats." Verbatim. I arrive there today for my coat with my 20% outerwear coupon and was told 'NO'. No coupons for leather jackets. I said that it doesn't say that on the coupon. She said but it won't work. I asked why not....the coupon says No Limits - does not apply to Blazers and Sportcoats. She said no, no leather coats. This is not right....and, it forces me to engage in a conversation that I dont want to have over 20%. I hate feeling duped.
