This shop is by my house, I didn't have an appointment, they accept walk ins and I walked right in, the place is open they have a beautiful mural on the right wall, they have a couch while you wait, Lenny is walked up and I told him I wanted a tattoo and he did it right on the spot. I was super comfortable, good music was playing. I had an awesome experience, I will definitely going back! read more

Our visit to James is NEVER long enough. The shop is eclectic, clean, and all the staff members are friendly. The conversation is always easy flowing and comical. When permanently leaving a mark on your body, you want to ensure ONLY the best is doing the job. His steady hand precisely makes every mark perfect! This will be my daughter's 2nd tattoo at Lost Lake, and we are already planning another one. The best tattoo artist and shop owner, James, designed my daughter and I matching tattoos. We got a symbolic tattoo of a Columbine flower which is a hearty flower that can withstand hardship. James understood how special it was for us to get the tattoos on the 6 month-a-versary of my daughter being hit by a car. She is a survivor! He took great care in drawing us the flower just perfectly and then he took his time placing it and tattooing it with a super fine needle. He made such precise lines and stunning shading, we just love it! His shop is decorated so cool with so much to look at with inspiration in every detail. Len is a supreme being. Full stop. He made a tattoo we had been thinking about for years come to life. It was inspired by lines from a Christopher Poindexter poem. It was not an easy task, but Len came through. The whole shop is amazing. You can get inked by literally anyone there - everyone works to the same caliber. But Len is my go to from now on. The staff was very friendly. I was a bit nervous because it was my first piercing but they were very reassuring. The piercing itself didn't hurt and it was a quick and easy process! I also got a little bag with a spray that would be used to clean my piercing. The only downside was that I made an appointment and I had to wait a good 40 minutes after my appointment to get my piercing done. read more

I went to Lost Lake a week after I went to another tattoo shop with my friends to get a septum piercing. Long story short, we all ended up getting pierced and I got a forward helix, the other piercer put in a surgical steel stud that was too small and it was irritated. I came here to consult with Rita and she was so kind and explained everything to me, including that the metal and size that I had in was not right. She walked me through what to do to take care of the piercing and jewelry I chose! She changed what I had out and put in high quality jewelry. I HIGHLY recommend this shop for customer service, piercings and their jewelry selection. For as long as I have my forward helix and need to get/change jewelry, I will be coming here! read more

Let me start by saying I've been to this shop 3 times already (3rd time was a mistake) for Tattoos and piercing . And let me tell you something.. TOTAL RIP OFF!!.. talking about oh because placing of the tattoo of because this because that. It was 5 super small letters okay... I was already there, and I wanted what I wanted, so I stayed. I was looking for a tattoo artist and my husband recommended his artist, I was skeptical because I wanted to find my own and shop around and I felt it was a tad bit far for me but WOW!!!! I couldn't have been HAPPIER for listening to him. The shop is spotless and frankly they are both amazing. My tattoo was done by Lenny, however, James was tattooing someone else at the same time and they were both working so professionally and they were so welcoming. I will be back SOON!!! read more

Terrible experience for myself, and cancelled for my husband also. Total rip off for a nose piercing. They over charge for the jewelry and service. The jewelry is ridiculously marked up, with little options of different styles. They Make you purchase a saline spray through them. And on top of all this, you have to make an appointment for a piercing?! Since when? I've had multiple piercings and it's always a walk in! If you can't make your forced appointment, they only give you a 15 min grace period. Is this a dr office??? By the end of my piercing, I paid the same as buying a small tattoo. That's the scam. They must pay high rent for the place, to require a 25$ deposit for a piercing, and made me cancel because I would be 20 min late, and then charged my card 25$ for that!!! Worst experience in a tattoo shop for a piercing, my husband went someone where else and I won't ever be returning there and will tell everyone not to go. Oh and to top all that off, they close on a Friday night at 8 pm. What tattoo shop closes on a weekend at 8? read more

I walked in with my nose bleeding I needed help ASAP ; and all she did was sell me a 50$ piercing (a huge scam) and then tried to charge me 15$ to put it in ... then I went to inkachokics to talk shit ab this place and all he charged me was 20$, that 50 piercing doesn't even work for what it's for read more

I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for more years than I'd like to admit. It's a huge commitment and one that should be well thought out. Initially, I contacted Tattooed Theory through their web site. I submitted my information electronically and described what I was looking to get tattooed. Since my friend has a few tattoos by Javi and had explained the procedure, I knew it would take quite a while. Some time later, I received a message to meet up and discuss what I wanted to do. At my appointment, I spoke with Javi and further discussed what I wanted to get done. At that time, I left a deposit and received a date for my tattoo. My excitement and anticipation was building and finally, I received the art prior to my appointment. Javi captured and exceeded my expectation of the concept....I was thrilled. I showed up for my appointment and since he had moved the business, I headed to the new location. Although the other location was easy to get to, the new spot is just as easy to find and near the expressway. It has a sleek and modern design with very cool decor. As I described in the previous review, the business continues to be extremely clean, tidy and very well organized. When I sat down in the tattoo area, I watched Javi take his time setting up from the very beginning. Lining all areas for cleanliness. Opening a ton of packages, needles etc. I can describe it as methodical and very detailed. I could go on and on with everything he did in preparation for the tattoo. There was no rush, which is a good thing. During the procedure, we took periodic breaks which were very much welcomed. As a side note, during this visit, I met the other artist, Chris. Just like Javi, he was personable and his work, also beautiful. In the end, my tattoo was absolutely amazing, dark and beautifully detailed. It was a wonderful experience! I cannot stress enough how professional and serious the artists are at Tattooed Theory. This is pure art and not the cookie cutter tattoo you often see. All in all, as I said in my previous review, go to his site, follow him on Instagram and if their work speaks to you, this is the place to go to. You will wait a long time and it won't be cheap. They are sought by many customers and have a long wait list. Then again, why would you gamble or try to cut corners with something that will be on your skin for the rest of your life. It's a huge decision to get a tattoo. Think it through and go to a professional location. You want it to be a positive experience on every level. You will not regret making Tattooed Theory your choice. For my next tattoo, hands down, Tattooed Theory will be my choice! Below is my original experience and first review of Tattooed Theory at its previous location. As a disclaimer, I didn't get a tattoo yet, but definitely want to write about my initial store experience. I've been wanting a tattoo for a while but it can be very challenging to find a tattoo artist. We have plenty of artists in South Florida, but choosing one can be daunting. While talking to quite a few friends that already have ink, there was one friend and tattoo that really stood out to me. The piece she had was pure art and words cannot describe how amazing it was. She told me Javi had done her tattoo and she went on and on about him, his shop and portfolio. She too had a recommendation from her friend that has a few pieces. Well, I have since submitted my request via his web site but finally decided to go by the shop to ensure I've made the right decision. The visit confirmed a resounding yes. You know the art is amazing, no doubt about that. Going by his shop and meeting Javi, solidified that yes, this is the place for me! One thing I've experienced with some tattoo artists is, as a female, they kind of "poo poo" your visit, as if you are not serious. In all fairness, maybe they're like that because it is their experience. Well, Javi made me feel welcomed and not judged at all.
