    This company is ruthless with keeping security deposits. They have a booklet of itemized fines for…read morethe condition of the place and the penatlies are petty and uncharged to the point that it doesn't even make sense. I got my security deposit back and wasn't fined for anything. The whole moving out process gave me so much anxiety. I had to buy specific paint, or I'd get fined, and the accessories to go with it, to paint the walls where I had nails for picture frames otherwise they'd fine me for each wall that was not perfect. Never have had a landlord so petty when they have full maintenance staffing which what they are paid to do and are given safety gear for those tasks. If there was animal poop in the back yard they would fine you a ridiculous sum. You can't control where wildlife wants to take a crap. The owners are not understanding if your ESA passes away and you need a new companion. I had to fight them so I could get a new companion which is messed up. They send tenants letters on who to vote for so they don't have to pay for a rise in property taxes which was put in place because of the landowners in Marquette raising rent so high that it is been pushing locals out of the area and taking advantage of college students for years and it hasn't been cracked down on. Pretty sure that's illegal after talking to the police. The places look nice but the business and the mindset of the whole company is self serving to a fault and doesn't view tenants as humans. Just another Bad monopolizing rental company in Marquette.

    I had to write a review because I had not intended to go with Swick for my heating needs. I had…read moreseen the bad reviews and been told they were expensive. I wanted to go with a smaller local company but called Swick to get a comparison bid. Both sales guys were knowledgeable and extremely nice and sent me bids in a timely manner. Both systems were expensive, more than I wanted to pay since I had a newer furnace, it just wasn't big enough. I called the smaller company to come back out to give me more ideas and a general idea of pricing on them which they did. I finally decided what direction I wanted to go so e-mailed and left a vm for the smaller company of what I was thinking and I would like new bids. No response. Did it again, no response. While waiting, Swick called to see if I needed anything more from them. I told them what I was thinking and Norm came back out and several days later sent me bids. The bids were right in the ballpark of what the other company had mentioned so I reluctantly hired Swick. The process of having my room heater installed upstairs and gas fireplace insert in the family room could not have gone smoother. I have only good things to say about Swick. The room heater had not arrived by the appt date so my work was done in 2 appts vs one which was fine with me. I wanted the gas fireplace asap so I could use it. The installers were very friendly, professional and yet a sense of humor. When done they cleaned everything up completely and gave me a tutorial. The room heater was the same experience. Different installers but once again extremely nice, professional AND they put up with 2 dogs in their way as they worked without looking at all irritated. Everything once again was spotless when they left. I am totally impressed with Swick!

I was at her side watching her die for 15 days. After she died, I called to schedule service. I was advised my membership expired 4 days ago, and I missed the window for the included services. I could not believe what I was hearing. I told them I responded to the text, but was advised it was an "automated" text sent by their system and they do not monitor responses. I do NOT recommend this company.
