It had two playground areas that I could see. One was just swings and the other was a playground (slides, etc.). There were plenty of picnic tables and BBQ's. There is a designated "beach" area that is sandy. This time of year - July - the water was pretty warm and clear. We did not swim in the water - next time we will. We went on a Saturday in the morning time and it was not very crowded, but it seemed to start to fill up faster as it approached noon. Fun area to come with family and friends and enjoy some food and the lake on a hot summer day!

(First of all, pricing for boat rentals is CRAZY, $700 for the day!) We (5 of us) get there at 9:00 that morning, ready to go. We check in, get assigned boat #5, we load a day's worth of "stuff" (2 coolers, food, floaties, towels, etc.), get our instructions, back out of the slip, and motor toward open water. As soon as we pass the "no wake zone" buoy the boat starts beeping. We turn around for the marina. Get back, go inside, and ... wait my turn. Tell them the boat is beeping. "Okay, we'll be with you in just a minute." So ... we wait. The guy who gave us our instructions comes back, and takes the boat out. Brings the boat back in, "yep, it's beeping." Volt meter says 11.4 volts. "I'll go get a new battery." We wait. He comes back with a new battery ... and no tools to install the battery. We wait. New battery is installed ... new battery doesn't solve the problem. "You'll have to go inside and talk to them." Inside: "We're 'sorry', all our boats are rented for the day. How far away do you live?" 5 hours. "Well, we can give you a refund or give you credit for another day." Um, no, I'll take the refund. We won't be back. So, all that to say this: Does the marina check the boats between rentals? Who knows. What we do know: they don't hold ANY boats back "just in case" something like this happens. Additionally: you were just renting ONE of their 10 (12 ... 15 ...?) boats. If they ruined your day because their boat doesn't work, they're "sorry". Beware of boat #5!

I would definitely recommend renting from them and enjoying the other side of the lake where it is not so busy. Renters be aware that they do not rent tubes but do have them for sell (for a price) at the marina. This is not overly apparent on their website so I thought it worth mentioning. Life jackets are provided with the boat, however, which is nice in comparison to other marinas where you have to rent them. All I all, we had a great experience and hope to rent from them again in the future.

This is a tough place to review. The area deserves a 1 or 2 star rating, because this part of the…read morelake is straight up filthy. Water visibility is measured in inches, and there is debris all over. The flip side of this is the price. It is incredibly cheap to dock a boat here, especially in comparison to marinas in nicer waters. However, the people and service should get a 5 star rating. The family that runs the gas station and store on the marina are extraordinarily kind, and when I first took up wakeboarding, they pointed us to great places to get gear and showed us where the best water was. If you want to dock here, you have make the decision about where to spend your money. You can buy a nicer slot for more cash at a different marina, or you can dock here and spend money on gas driving to a nicer area. It really comes down to that.

Bought our golf cart several years ago. Was very happy with everything then. Several weeks ago…read moreour golf cart quit. Clear Creek came a day early to get it -- good sign. Then told us we needed new batteries. We were a bit puzzled about that since my husband services the batteries regularly and they registered good as far as we knew. But ok.... they put in new batteries, the golf cart still would not move. We didn't know anything was amiss until we called to check on the cart a number of days later. They weren't sure, but thought it was the wiring harness. It became apparent that the technician didn't really know much about fixing golf carts. They said they would work with us on the bill. We finally get a harness, it is delivered and the bill is 1/3 more than I expected, we got a $33 discount. Not going back. They are nice people. Buying a golf cart from them is great. Getting it repaired, not so much. The manager is wearing too many hats and needs competent help.
