The pontoon boat was clean, comfortable, and the tube worked perfectly for the kids. Everyone had such a great time on the water! This was our second time renting a boat from State Park Marina, and both experiences have been amazing. We truly have no complaints. Grant and the team at Williams Ski and Sport were super responsive and helpful in fixing those problems. He's a great troubleshooter and service tech himself. When some of the problems required service by the manufacturer, he coordinated shipment of the parts back to the company and stayed on them until the repairs had been made. He even got them to replace some parts that had not yet failed, but looked likely to do so soon, saving me visits to his shop and more shipments to HQ. Saved me money, too -- those replacements cost me nothing! We've got a lake place near the shop. His focus on customer satisfaction keeps me coming back -- I know I can trust him and his team. Just last week I was in the shop looking for trainer skis for a very young relative who badly wanted to be like the big kids. One of the sales folks showed me the Connelly Firecracker, a design I'd never heard about before. The next day we had a deliriously happy five-year-old in our midst, and I'm set up for the next generation of ambitious lake visitors. Love the shop and staff. Really can't say enough good stuff.

Even if there was hot water, there is no water pressure...can't get more than a trickle out of the shower head. Some of the outlets are so loose, plugs won't stay in. The kitchenette is very dark with no light above the stove...very difficult to see to cook...had to use my cellphone flashlight above the stove. There are broken blinds in the bedrooms so it's pretty bright in the morning. The basement does not have an inside entrance so if you have children staying in the basement, their entrance is outside, around the corner, and down the stairs. None of this is disclosed in the listing. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

There are golf carts that can be rented during your stay, which was very helpful for such a large spread out group. They would rate a 5th star if there were some easier means of communicating between cabins - with our large group, lack of in-cabin phones, and poor cell signals out there it was often difficult to coordinate our activities, but we managed. There is wifi available near the pool/office and lodge area, which was handy. We had poor to no cell signal throughout the grounds (T-Mobile and ATT), but if you are not trying to manage a large group it's probably not a big deal. The cabins are various sizes and are very fitting of the wooded surroundings. They have a full kitchen with stove, fridge, dishes and silverware. They also have at least one separate bedroom (some have multiple bedrooms or loft areas). The lake is very clean and clear and the resort has its own dock area for swimming and boating. The area around the lake is thick forest; however, the area is moderately built up so there are few trails around for hiking. A great experience overall and definitely a place I would return to.
