I found this school online and quickly called to make an appointment. I was greeted in a friendly manner by the School Director, Primavera Fuller. She explained to me the conditions of study and helped me fill out all the documents.I was pleasantly surprised by the price of tuition. I was offered three options for classes and I chose the evening class .When I came to school on the first day I met two wonderful teachers -Jannie and Jushana. Teachers are patients, calm, professional and encourages the students, giving us confidence to be able to do blood draws. They have with a wealth of knowledge and experiences, enabling to share personal experiences and techniques. Class sizes small (6-7 people) and the material is easy to read and understand and can focus more on reach of the student. Book was writing "simply language". Teachers always answers any and all questions and shares personal experiences, stories, and videos to help us understand the material better. Teachers helps for us and prepare us for Final Exam. Primavera is great ,very easy to work with throughout your time at the school with payments, and other information after I done with school. I am very happy with education I received , and look forward to taking my National Exam and proceeding to my externship. I felt well prepared for my job…read more Although some times were frustrating for my peers and I, it did begin to prepare for the real world of nursing and medical where you have to stand up and advocate for yourself and others, try to make positive changes, and speak up when there are deficits or needs. I am currently prusing my RN, and CCI did prepare me very well ethically and academically compared to my peers. I felt very prepared by my various instructors throughout the program. The program was tough, but medical is even tougher, but so worth it. After graduating, I was able to make enough to support myself and start my family, which was my goal when starting the program. The reason I knocked off a star was that I received phone calls from ECMC Capella loans stating I was behind on my payments and owed them fees. However my loans were not financed through them (I used my previous loan provider, as I already had existing federal loans) and after some back and forth, CCI did release my personal information to this organization without my consent years after I graduated

AVC is an excellent school to go to. There are a lot of clubs and on-campus activities that makes…read moremeeting new people a breeze. If you want to transfer to a four-year university, there is a program that helps you navigate through all the courses you need. The transfer counselors care about the students and are more than happy to help them. Their goal is to get you to a university. The student service programs that AVC have is expertly helpful. They have a Learning Center, which is one of the most beneficial areas for students to achieve. There are FREE tutoring services for almost all the courses. From art to engineering, there is most likely a tutor. If not, you can request for one to be found. The only part about AVC that I don't like are the restroom facilities. They are always dirty, and sometimes a majority of toilets don't work or are broken in some way. They are also usually out of soap too, so I have to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer with me. All in all, Antelope Valley College is an outstanding school and is a great place to start if you want to further your education.

Larry is the guy that takes you out in the truck you will be testing in and gives you the final pointers on what to expect. Thank you Larry! Some pointers I would like to give are read the script on the pre inspection and the air brake test. Also, know the coupling portion on the truck. it will be on every trip pre inspection. (fifth wheel skid plate, apron, platform, release handle, service and emergency lines, glad hands and seals, electrical line, locking mechanism, locking jaws, all need to be not cracked, broken, or damaged) repeat the C, B, D on each individual component.

I called several kitten/cat animal sanctuaries, Paw Parent was the only one to call me back. I was…read moreblessed they just had an adoption and the room for the cats would be ready in 3 days. The mom was a stray, she had 4 kittens in a neighbor's garage. I brought all 5 to my home and kept them until the time came to bring them to Paw Parent in West Lancaster. I come to visit them every Monday. The cats are now spayed and ready for adoption. The owner and her help work so hard keeping all of the dogs and cats feed and happy. They need volunteers to keep the work load down. They really care about these animals. So sad very few people will adopt a BIG DOG.
