Wonderful educational homeschooling program!…read more The campuses are large but, for example, one of the campuses has a beautiful football field that has not been catered too; therefore, the children cannot utilize the track and field. How many years will Gorman let this field go unattended? I understand there may be a lack of funding. Also, there is no microwaves available to students to have hot lunches. This is possibly due to state regulations. When will Gorman address this? No worries because on campus learning is completely optional. Furthermore, it seems that Gorman learning center is turning into a brick-and-mortar style school system which will perhaps develop into overpopulated classrooms if they keep letting students enroll. I understand on campus course and activities are optional tho.....No worries Well, if your considering Gorman Learning Center you're on the right track, as there are more benefits to this establishment than my own selfish and perhaps petty gripes. And...... to end on a positive note: -The Administrative Staff are nice -The Teachers and Facilitators are great! -Students are phenomenal and smart -PLTs are absolutely fantastic and knowledgeable on all subjects -Courses Offered are well equipped with tools needed to successfully support the objectives Thank you for reading and hopefully by next year I can give this school a FIVE STAR

My child said the conversation went like this: My kid: "Mrs.teacher? (Child's name) did-" teacher: "are you trying to tattle?" My kid: "what? No. It's just (other child's name)-" Teacher: "go sit down." My kid was ignored until the next day when she was sobbing in class and the teacher asked what was wrong and she told her everything. The teacher sent her to the counselor and the counselor called the other kid up and told them to apologize to each other and hug it out. HUG IT OUT?! My child could've gotten a disease or infection. And they also made my kid apologize? This happened a year ago and I still feel a haunting feeling every time my daughter comes home crying which is very often.

Why am I rating this a 3 then instead of a 5? - Due to their HR when you apply for employment for their district. I have applied to their district multiple times. The first few times I heard back and even had interviews. I was always encouraged to keep trying, keep applying. And I did just that but the attitude shifted suddenly. When I send emails to check on the job(s) I apply to I get short non-assuring responses, giving off the sense that I'm bothering their work day with the emails. Keep in mind, I have a degree focused on being in a school setting and prior experience exceeding the minimal qualifications. This is upsetting as the unemployment rates are high and I'm getting this type of response from their HR.
