We were willing to accept the bad service as stated in those reviews but we're pleasantly surprised upon entering we were greeted immediately, given menus, drink order taken and order taken. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Dinner salad was ample. Things went downhill from there. The Prime Rib was unseasoned and basically tasteless as was the au juice. We were bummed. My burger was tasty and too large to finish so I took half home with me. That night I ended up sick to my stomach and spent the night in the bathroom. 2 days later I warmed up and ate the half of the burger I had taken home and again spent the night back and forth to the bathroom. Two pool tables and a dance floor are the only things to physically partake in. Two dart board machines take up space but they don't have any darts available to use, even after asking the front table. Kind of a bait in terms of activities which is what I expected coming to a sports center. There are a few televisions broadcasting games which I enjoyed, but the screens are a bit small and placed a bit far. On the bright side, drinks are fine. It's just below average because as a "sports center," there isn't much for people to partake in.

Amazing fries and fry sauce, the sauce has a little bit of a kick to it which I enjoyed. For the table we had motz sticks and fried ravioli. The motz sticks had a nice cheese pull and were decent. I wasn't a fan of the ravioli, just personal preference. I ordered the working man burger and wow was I impressed with the HUGE well cooked patty, smoked cheese, bacon and garlic aioli. I could honestly only eat about 1/4 of the burger after the appetizers. I can however confirm the burger and fries reheated well at home in the microwave.

I have to say that after coming here for a friends 40th birthday, this is the type of spot we would hang out! We came on a Saturday evening for karaoke which started at nine and went to the wee hours of the morning. The cuddled up to the bar and some friends played pulltabs for something like two hours. They have a decent beer selection including some local stuff and a number of pool tables and dartboards on the area opposite the karaoke. The bartenders were all very nice and took really good care of everyone here, despite it being crazy. I didn't have a chance to sample any of the food, but they had a rather extensive list of burgers and sandwiches. I think it's a sort of spot we're going to need to come back to for lunch someday! Pulltabs are definitely not my thing, but for those that enjoy them, they had something like 20 different options. A good spot to check out if you're looking for somewhere to hang or dive bar at which to do karaoke.
