    Chilaquiles

First time here and definitely won't be my last ! My and my buddy were starving, we going the chilaquiles to share both sauces. Oh Man ! Second item was the surf n turf fries we, the carne asada flavor was amazing. I got the menudo and my friend got the caldo de res. We both liked it. Last item was ceviche and octopus cocktail, definitely lemony. Lots of seating inside, and they also have a full bar and I got the mango margarita slushee ! Man the staff was nice and I can't wait to come back.

    Cute fountain on the patio!

Los Reyes, I love you! I had a rough day today, but you turned it into a lovely evening. I grabbed two combo plates to take home and enjoyed a quick tequila shot while I waited. Eduardo was an absolute gem -- kind, welcoming, and happy to accommodate my extra request. Thank you all so much for the wonderful service and great food!

First of all the frijoles were so soft, creamy and delicious. Genuinely melted in my mouth and paired with the PERFECTLY cooked arroz and soft carrot square cubes it was amazing. I don't even know how to start on the four carne asada tacos that came with the 4 street taco special combo. PACKED with meat and the green salsa complimented it so well. I was to the point to where my stomach was growling from not eating all night and spending so much physical energy and it filled me up so good I feel like I could run a marathon and feel on top of the world. If you want to feel that way go to Los Reyes they'll do u up gooooood.

My first time trying their enchiladas...very tasty!!!

Since finding Los Reyes, I have been here at least once a week, sometimes twice! I've tried different things such as the King Burrito with carne asada, shrimp burrito, and chicken enchiladas. Recently I had a delicious birria quesadilla! Sooooooo good! The staff is friendly and I like that they serve alcohol as well!

Ordered pick up since I was exhausted but I had heard good things about this place. The breakfast burrito is solid - I got sausage egg and cheese and added hash browns; ate it with the green salsa. I will definitely order this one again. Small parking lot in the front, order was ready on time and the staff was friendly. Looking forward to trying more dishes here in the near future!

The food here is always so fresh and delicious! I've tried a few things but today I ordered the birria taco special with beans and rice and a drink, the king fries (carne asada fries with grilled shrimp, chipotle sauce, guacamole, cotija cheese, and poco de gallo), and horchata. There is plenty of indoor and covered patio seating with limited outdoor uncovered seating. I love that they have several tv's on site to watch sports games and random network tv. If you're able to, I recommend sitting at the bar and having a drink. The bartenders and servers are very nice and have great customer service. All of the workers are bilingual and Spanish speaking so that's always a plus. The waterfall and pond is super pretty and gives the outdoor covered patio garden vibes.

Once again yelp reviews in San Diego have left me astray. Let me start by saying that we came here after a 3 hour hike so I was STARVING. And when I tell yall I took one bite & it was an immediate NO. Maybe only get burritos here? Since that's what the reviews keep talking about. Better yet - go across the street to Humberto's if you really want a burrito. This place is embarrassing. Also the agua fresca tasted artificial af.

This used to be a pure taco stand, that expanded to add full seating, then a bar, then a patio. I come here occasionally for a breakfast burrito on my way to work, sometimes for a snack before I go home. I generally call ahead and my order is ready when I get there. Service is always prompt and friendly. The Super Breakfast Burrito has egg, bacon, ham, sausage, cheese, and hash browns. It is delicious! I've also had their carne asada burritos and rolled tacos and they are consistently good, taco stand fare. Quality doesn't ever seem to waver and for that dependability with above average food, they get five stars from me.

Tapas style menu, we were a party of 4 and ordered: Squash blossom Relleno - it's the flower part of a squash plant and stuffed with mushroom duxelles which resembles a meat mixture with squash succotash. Outside is a corn tempura with a tomato base sauce. Pulpo-grilled octopus, one of the best texture and perfectly grilled skin with a chewy yet soft interior. The sauce has a slight kick and crunch from the corn nuts. Crab corn doughnut- this is their specialty and we were about to skip out but glad we didn't. The brioche bun had a donut batter with lumps of crab salad and corn mixture on top. El Festin- perfect for our party of 4 because it was a platter full of 4 Cheese quesadilla, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken slices, 1 jalapeño bacon wrap, ribeye. Flan-we should have each ordered one ourselves! Great flavors and texture, the top had ancient chocolate soil and had crispy corn nuts. Different but yummy. Overall, delicious food that came out so quick, great ambiance, we celebrated our birthdays and were each gifted candles with our names on the label. Truly amazing from beginning to end. Street parking only. The spots on the same block are metered but if you drive down to the second street towards residential, it's free.

You need to go at least once. A good place to bring peeps from out of town as well if the budget provides. Reservations are recommended. My only real gripes are the parking (not really their fault), the prices being a bit high and the noisy and dim atmosphere, but the other perks make up for a lot of this. Also, be careful of the candles, one dripped on my date and messed up her dress.

We grabbed a table for our whole crew, kids included, and settled in for what turned out to be a really memorable evening. Now, no meal is perfect, and ours had a funny little hiccup. We ordered the shrimp salad, and it showed up... shrimp-less. Just a salad. We laughed about it because hey, things happen, but what really made the night was how it got handled. Our server Erika noticed something was off before we even said much, and she jumped right on it. Not only did she get the dish fixed and out to us fast, she also surprised the kids with free dessert, no fuss, no attitude, just genuine hospitality. That's the kind of service that turns a small mistake into a story you actually want to tell. The rest of the meal was great too. Fresh flavors, a menu that leans into that coastal Mexican-meets-California vibe, and a setting that makes everything taste a little better. Sunset hit while we were there and the whole patio just glowed. It's one of those spots where you're paying for the experience as much as the food, and honestly, both delivered.

It definitely has a kick, so beware if you're sensitive to spice, but it's so good. The queso fundido is another favorite and great for sharing. I've tried quite a few of the entrées over different visits. The Mexican paella was really good, the ancho chile roasted salmon is another standout, and the Pork & Chile Colorado Cazuela was incredibly tender and packed with flavor. Definitely save room for dessert too. The butter cake was delicious, and the churros were just as good. Beyond the food, one of the biggest reasons to come here is the location. The outdoor patio has amazing views looking across the water toward downtown San Diego and makes the whole experience even better, especially around sunset.
