Due to the popularity, this place can get packed, so food and service can be hit-or-miss. I recommend going here early evening during the week or early afternoon on the weekend to avoid the crowds. Always, always make a reservation. Though if you happen by the neighborhood when it's not busy, it's a lovely place to stop for a drink and a snack.
The menu here is like many other places in Monterrey. The food is good, though nothing stands out. You should have good luck sticking with appetizers and shareable food, especially when it's busy. Also, if it's busy, do not be surprised if all your food comes out at different times and some of it is missing or wrong.
Don't let that disappoint you or keep you away. Botanero Moritas is an institution, and rightly so. It's always a good crowd and good vibes. Enjoy it for what it is.
