    Carne asada burrito to go
    Edenielle A.

I'm 5 months pregnant and was craving a burrito. I called in for a to go order thinking that I was going to get a simple burrito boy was I surprised when I open the bag. Inside was a burrito and al sorts of goodies. There was sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side along with some rice and beans. I was definitely surprised ima the best way. The staff said that the order was gonna be 15 minutes but it was a lot quicker than that. The ambiance of the restaurant is casual nothing to fancy. I wish I took a photo of the inside because it was cute in there too.

The place means "The Pines" in Spanish, and the decor has a great combo of what you would expect from a family Mexican restaurant mixed with some NW flair. The booths had Mt. Rainier and some trees etched into their backs, which was pretty cool. Service was friendly and straightforward, as was the food. Free chips and salsa, and we split an order of chicken taquitos which was hearty and affordable. We also had strawberry margaritas - I would probably order a different drink next time as it was a bit sweet for me, but it was certainly drinkable. Will definitely stop by again!

Decided to drop by just to eat some Nachos as an appetizer after going on a 7-mile bike ride! Arrived at 1:30 PM and got seated right away. Had to wait about 10 minutes before the waitress came to order. Seemed like she was the only one serving all of the tables, so it was understandable. Our Super Nachos with Ground Beef came out in a very timely manner. Tasted really good, too! Had a nice crunch, guacamole was tasty, beef was cooked well, sour cream was on point and jalapeños gave a spicy kick to the nachos. Liked it very much! This review is solely based on the Nachos we ordered as an appetizer...

Huge portions; as they should be. The shredded chicken was soft, ground beef was ground, not soupy like some restaurant will make their ground beef. The shredded beef was also tender, these three meats were perfectly prepared. Beans and rice the staple sides were included and also nicely paired with the main course. Chimi, enchilada and tacos(hard shell)

Yasssss they got Pacifico Clara, Dos Equis Ámbar and Negro Modelo on DRAFT!!!

Great service, tasty food and awesome pricing! It was a total $73 and after tip of around 38%, it was still under $100! Can't beat this!! Still eating my leftover beef fajitas and still tasting sooooo goood!! Ceviche is a must-order appetizer to get!! So tasty and refreshing w/ Flat tortilla chips to go with it. Pacifico Clara (ran out during our visit), Negro Modelo and Dos Equis Ámbar on draft were an added bonus! The only reason why I only have it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I was stared it so bad by other customers/locals in the Orting area that it made me feel a bit h comfortable ... I came from Iowa and never got stared at that bad before lol... like they've never seen a SE Asian female before lol! But all good tho, I can hold my own and will definitely be back to grub at this place.

    How is the brunch here?

I enjoy the brunch due to the variety, being at a Mexican restaurant provides traditional tacos, rice, beans, chips, salsa. As well as eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, potatoes. Don't forget the bloody Mary's.

From the moment you step inside, the warm ambiance and welcoming service set the stage for an exceptional dining experience that feels both refined and comfortingly authentic. The true stars of the menu, however, are undoubtedly the tacos. Each bite delivers an exquisite balance of flavor--perfectly seasoned meats, fresh toppings, and tortillas that taste as though they were crafted with genuine care. The richness and depth of the ingredients harmonize beautifully, creating a dish that is both satisfying and memorable. It is evident that great attention has been paid to achieving a bold yet nuanced flavor profile that elevates these tacos well above the ordinary. While the salsa accompaniment may not quite reach the same heights as the rest of the meal--offering a more subdued and less dynamic flavor--it remains a minor note in an otherwise outstanding experience. In truth, the tacos themselves shine so brightly that this small shortcoming is easily overlooked. In all, Acuintinos stands as a shining gem within Orting's dining scene--a place where exceptional tacos and inviting hospitality come together to create a truly five-star experience.

Bottom Line Up Front...One star for the cleanliness, easy parking and the thoughtful decor. Steven missed on this one big time. The fact that they didn't have customers when he visited them could have been one of three issues (food quality, poor service, inflated prices). In my case, it was all 3. There were older white folks who saw Steven's article and did mention it to the wait staff. Some of those tables received chips and salsa, most didn't, not sure what goes into their criteria for who gets it and who doesn't. I chitchatted with the wait staff and asked them their specials and what they would want me to tell the Yelpers about them. They wanted me to give the community my honest opinion and said their best sellers are the Quesabirria and ramen (what what?) . Well we decided on neither of those and ordered the $17.95 Chicken Enchilada mole and the $12.90 Chicken Mulitas (each $6.45, staff did not ask if I wanted one or two). To be brutally honest...the Enchiladas were "lean" & dreadful. The mole sauce tasted like mud. The rice and beans was barely palatable (La Preferida from Safeway might have been better!). The Mulitas was ok but not something that I would miss. The red and green salsa from those plastic bottles was salty...as were all of the dishes...saltier... The plates were small, the price tag was hefty, paid extra for mole sauce (this was NOT a side order but something that is supposed to be the core dish sauce), extra for credit card use (3%). Nickel and diming...what next...clean your own table... quarter for restroom use! Of course, none of these upcharges were mentioned or listed anywhere that I could see... Service was just ok...they didn't talk about any specials or drinks...so we didn't order one. And the biggest kicker...no complimentary chips and salsa unlike those other hardworking Mexican joints awaiting your business. There was no hook; all sinker...Somehow, they think of themselves as "Cactus" but lack the basics of competing for your business. I ended up with an upset stomach later that evening. Don't take my word only...read the other reviewers observations in a bit more detail while ignoring the stars and judge for yourself. Sorry if my review sounds too brutal, which I hate to do knowing how hard it is to run a restaurant. I greatly respect the hard working folks in the restaurant industry. Finally the dish I ordered, Los tres compadres was massive and delicious. I took my leftovers home and got two more meals out of just that one dish! The only reason I'm not giving five stars is their complimentary chips and salsa are not anything to rave over. The chips need more salt and the salsa is very watery. Taste more like a tomato broth than salsa. Just skip these all together and go straight to the appetizers and you won't be disappointed.
