My all time favorite food truck! I've been going to them for years. Fast service, fresh HOT food.

I've been wanting to try this taco truck. Located in front of Shell gas station on the corner of First and Shield. They have quite a few options on their menu. My husband and I ordered tacos in asada, al pastor and tripas. The guy who took our order was nice. We asked about tacos prices since they were not posted. They changed $3 for tripas and $2.50 for the asada. Waited about 5 mins for our order. Everything was just okay for my husband and I. The flavors were there in all the tacos. But the asada meat was hard to chew, the tripas was overwhelmingly over done parts of it was crunchy but really hard and dry. I have no complaints about the al pastor. The tacos comes with grilled onions and it was made well. The green salsa we requested was good with a nice hint of spice. We asked for one grilled jalapeño and they charge an extra .50 cents for just one. They also charge a $2.00 fee for card transactions which has been the most I've seen in a while. Overall the customer service was great and flavors were there but we've definitely had better tacos.

Los Picantes is one of the better taco trucks here located in Shields & First St Fresno Ca. If you're craving for some yummy tacos or burritos you came at the right place. 4/5 carne asada burrito Even though their carne asada is not flame grilled, tasted a lot better than those 24 hour places. These guys don't skimp on the guacamole like other places do. 4/5 chicken burrito I like how they cook this fresh not premade like other places. I can actually tell their ingredients is much fresher and better than other places. Salsa 5/5 I loved their red salsa, If you're getting 2 burritos I will ask for 3 red and 3 green salsa. You know getting extra salsa is not free but it's worth it to purchase some more. Service 4/5 I always get my food in a timely manner. People don't realize that good food takes awhile to make that what sets them apart from those fast food places. Location 3/5 It's kinda in a sketchy neighborhood in the Target shopping center. I've been coming to Los Picantes almost every week because I know for sure their ingredients is so much fresher than other places. Also they don't skimp out on their guacamole and other ingredients like other places do. I'm sure Los Picantes will slay your appetite and you won't have to break your wallet for some decent Mexican food from a taco truck.

First time here. I'm all for supporting family owned businesses but not like this. I ordered asada and al pastor tacos and they were burnt and the meat is so tough. Very disappointed. I will be going somewhere else for tacos.

Here now and this is my place for burritos. I'm very picky and these are great and they grill the burritos if you'd like. Flavor of meat to the rest is perfect.

I've never seen this food truck before, but I stopped after a trip to a target, the food was excellent, dare I say one of the best taco sellers in the central valley! The service was swift and greeted with amazing energy by the owner. Thank you for the amazing burrito! :)

I have seen this taco truck gain traction since it started out in the area and I thought I would give it a go and see how good they were. I really wanted to give them a better review but the flavor of the meat in the tacos was sort of bland/tasted in a way I don't have a word for but if I could match a scent with a flavor the scent is that of a greasy rag. I thought maybe the second taco would taste better but the only thing that saved it was the green sauce. If I remember correctly the green sauce was the spicier one and gave this taco a kick that made it an ounce more palatable. I feel really bad leaving this review but I have to be honest with my experience. It's a good thing the gas station is right behind this taco truck as I wanted a refreshing bubbly drink to go with my lunch and all the truck had to offer was horchata and lemonade. This food experience ranks lower than I had high hoped. I dislike not being able to give a good review. Two stars - one for each taco...

This is their tripa tacos, I asked for my onions to be raw because I don't like them grilled. Amazing !!!

Great food and great service. The shrimp tacos are bomb. So are the fries. The asada burrito is a go to.

S/O to my brother for showing me this place because I literally come here every day now and get their tripa or adobada tacos, mostly the tripas!

I had the pulled pork sandwich with a side of yummy coleslaw. The sandwich came with several single serving size containers of bbq sauce. The pulled pork was very tender, moist and smoked deliciously. Soft hoagie roll. The bbq sauce was very flavorful and not spicy which is how I like it. I loved the coleslaw because it wasn't too mayonnaisey, more of a subtle vinegar flavor. My son ordered the brisket with collard greens which he says, you can't truly be a bbq restaurant without collard greens. He loved them and the brisket was tender and lean. His husband ordered a tri tip sandwich with the Mac n cheese along with a made to order Blackberry Lemonade. They both loved their meals. We all agreed we'd return for another meal. Tge desserts looks delicious! Bread pudding, peach cobbler and a couple other choices. Like I said, another day to indulge in dessert. It is outdoor seating only on picnic tables. You could see the owner and his assistant working hard to prepare the meals. They had a steady stream of guests. Good location with parking very close by.

I love brisket, the last 3 times, brisket was dried and probably days old. Brisket in suppose to be tender and juicy. This was not. Tri tip cut the wrong way, not even tender, consistently out of certain side dishes and act like they're sold out. Service is ok, food truck style, they had the indoors open for a little bit, not sure what's happened. The ambiance is downtown food truck style, service is ok, near other bars and restaurants. 11/14 - 2 plates ~$50 12/4 2 plates - ~$75 They lost a customer in me. I can go to mega Texas, westwoods or any other location for better bbq options.

The location is right next to a gas station so little parking available. They have a food truck outside next to their dine-in inside. I like that they have a limited menu so that's was good. I will say this, I've never had Hmong food so I am not sure how it should taste. I order half dozen egg rolls and three spring rolls, and a large Nab Vam drink. The egg rolls were crispy, although the glass noodles inside caught me off guard. Actually, I didn't like them... I do like their sweet and spicy sauce though. The spring rolls were nice and thick, and I like that they add pork to theirs. Definitely filling. However, their peanut sauce is overwhelming spicy. It kinda masks the nutty flavor of the peanut butter. The drink was ok. I love how colorful it was. I listen to the guy and shake my drink well, but I didn't find it no where sweet. I think I had expectations that it would taste like a boba drink but yea it felt off for me. Other wise, it's ok. I ended up disagreeing with my friend on the eggrolls claim lol

My wife is fiending for something beefy, and sees a steak dish on the menu. I say, "I dunno about steak from a Thai (maybe Lao) food truck." It was called Crying Tiger with Rice, for $17. But hunger won over, and we ordered it. The food came out in good order and promptly. And oh my, this steak was DELICIOUS. Cooked a perfect medium rare, it was tender, juicy, marinated with something that brought out the steak flavor. With the dipping sauce, it was a savory, citrus-y delight with a small spicy kick. One time out at the college, they ran out of, if you can believe it... sticky rice! They did notify us before we ordered, but again, that steak and dipping sauce was just something I couldn't resist. They quickly offered to replace it with eggrolls and we got 4! (There was another time that they did not come out to a scheduled spot due to weather. And I wondered about food trucks not coming out due to rain, is it a functionality thing for the truck or do they think people won't be out and about to purchase?
