Avoid at all cost!! It took me $200 to come out hungry because the lobsters were inedible!! Straw hat would have been softer. It was pre cooked and reheated when order. Ask for lobster with butter it came out with onion's and peppers. There excuse,"this is how we serve it". But it is not what was ask for and neither what was on the sales ticket. No idea if the food tastes good! Because I've been here over an hour! We had to remind our server 3 times for water! We are still waiting for drinks! We went to the bar to order other drinks because we were waiting, our other drinks are finished, and we are still waiting for the ones we ordered at the table We have a two year-old with us who just needs to eat rice and beans. We had to ask three times for the rice and beans ahead of time a half hour later they brought it out for her. I believe they are avoiding our table, others have been served that came long after us! They brought us one small pitcher of water, which was not enough for the entire table and left before we could even raise our hand and ask for another one We don't know if the food is going to be good, but after an hour of waiting without even drinks, there is not even an apologetic attitude about the lack of service... What a find! I've been to several restaurants in both Humacao and Naguabo beaches and I have a new favorite. The service was impeccable. We had a party of 7 and got there right after a bus unloaded a party of 25. I thought we'd be there forever but we ordered and got our food in about 25 minutes. The food was excellent. My Dad as I shared a whole fried fish (Capitan) because it was so big. We actually could have split it three ways! It came with Tostones - fresh not frozen. We started everything off with fried Arepas and tomato and onion sauce which was divine. Arepas are a specialty of Naguabo, so you always have to order them. We got the regular one although the coconut flavored are also very good. Other dishes included asopao de langosta (lobster stew), chillo frito (fried red snapper) mero en ruedas con salsa (Grouper slices in tomato sauce), and filete de mero (grouper filet). I usually like to rate Oman overall feeling of the place both the food and the establishment, to include the staff. The staff was pleasant and but seemed to be in a rush even though there was no one really there. Generally speaking the food was good. My fried fish was DELICIOUS. My mom's shrimp stew was ok and my brother's mofongo was ok. The place can use an update and it was hot. Normally, I wouldn't care about the establishment but the prices were too high for it to look like that. read more

BLUF--Enjoy the food but keep a sharp eye on the check. Last visited 1:30pm Saturday June 19, 2021. I've been to this place over the course of many years, whenever I am in town. Food is consistently good. However, my last visit left me with some doubts of another kind. When the bill came, I noticed the charge for each entry was a round number (ex: $30), prompting me to look more closely. Also, I saw the addition was off by about $4. I grabbed a menu to spot check entry prices--and discovered that one of the items ("asopao de langosta") was listed for $24.95 --but appeared on the check as "$30". (Another lobster dish --mofongo stuffed with lobster--listed for $29.95, and appeared on the check as "$30"). I called a waiter over and I was told that "the chef said all lobster dishes were to have a $5 surcharge". I replied we weren't told at any time. She mentioned that my waiter missed applying the "surcharge" to the mofongo lobster dish we ordered. Solely because I've been a repeat customer before I did not push the issue further, but the check was in fact corrected, the "surcharge(s)" vanished, and the bill retotaled. AFAIK this is the first time for check "mishaps" here but I will be paying close attention when I return, many months from now. read more

There's nothing worse than a restaurant with good potential doing it all wrong. The service here was beyond poor. Came in on a Sunday around 3pm. Once we got seated we waited more than 10 min to have a server come to our table. We had enough time to pretty much decide what we were going to order by the time the server came by. We waited more than 50 min for our good. I watched tables around us sit down and leave because they weren't greeted on a reasonable amount of time. Servers were not using trays to be efficient. Only the food was being brought out in a service cart. Dirty tables stayed dirty for more than 45 min. There was no bartender on duty at the bar so the servers were making their own drinks. My mom ordered a piña colada and we are pretty sure it was a virgin colada. Right around the 45 min wait time for our food, our server came by but she had absolutely no urgency after noticing we had been waiting way too long for our food. This area is well known for their arepas and lobsters so the restaurant was full. They seriously need to provide better service training to their servers to keep places like these alive. This is definitely not a fancy place but the least they could do is provide better service if you are getting charged $30-$50 for a lobster dish. When we finally got the food it was nothing to rave about. Next time we will go to the restaurant directly across the street from them. read more

Service Is slow as molasses. Waste of time and money. Mediocre food quality. Servers behave as if they're bothered by your presence. Went in on a Sunday a few weeks ago with about 20 people which basically 4 tables in her section of which we combined together. Maybe she didn't understand that math was the same and she would be putting forth the same effort if four different families but she was bothered to have to split the checks, forgot my daughters food, said she would bring it, never did, but charged us for it anyway. We tried to be as cordial as possible and her attitude was indifferent to us. We've eaten at El Makito up on the waterfront before and were treated with respect. The seafood is very fresh but the service here is AWFUL. I wasn't very impressed with my lobster mofongo but the lobster empanadas were great and so were the arepas. Our waitress was rude and snarky. She wouldn't even go around the table to hand out menus...she gave them to the head of the table and said "pass these around", and she did the same thing with utensils and drinks as well. She was VERY slow and not very attentive to our party. The churrasco wasn't churrasco at all, it was more like a bistec. Very expensive for crappy service and okay food. The best food is the food you are craving for. I have been craving fish since I had left Miami the week before and found out that the restaurant that I usually get it from had a fire and was under construction. The place was a little shack by the ocean with an excellent view. The food was out of this world. Empanadas stuffed with Chopin fish that was tasty and very moist. The fish I had was a Chillo which is a type of Snapper very satisfying and seasoned to perfection it literally fell off the bone the plantain tostones were nicely done and fresh out the pan. The beer was a tad warm for the time of year. All in all an excellent experience. read more
