You can't miss this taqueria as it's just across the street from the Pilot station, and it's painted bright yellow. Los Grullenses has tacos, sopes, tortas, burritos, and breakfast and dinner plates. It's patrons depend on the time of day. Until late afternoon, it's mostly truckers and young people working across the highway in the airport industrial park. Early evenings, you'll find ag workers getting a quick bite before they go home. I always seem to be somewhat out-of-place as a 50 year old white girl usually disheveled, dirty, sweaty, and dressed in riding clothes. By the time I get done with my horses, it's about all I can manage to stand weakly against the divider and watch the cooks admiringly in a spotlessly clean kitchen. I always order the burrito. Price? $4 and that's it! No tax, no cents. Just $4. How civilized is that? The burrito is not a huge bomber. It's correctly sized for one person to scarf up and enjoy without regrets or unsnapped top buttons. The burrito comes with cheese melted on the tortilla, refritos, rice, and your choice of meat. If you order your burrito con todos, it will come with a hefty spoonful of fresh finely chopped onion and cilantro. This fresh component pairs well with the long cooked meat. I highly recommend it. I also recommend the salsa verde. It's delish! Watch out for the pastor. It's a sneaky devil. It's pretty finely chopped, but still manages to impart a distinctively smoky and porky taste. After the first bite, it sneaks up on you and hits you with the pleasant burn. The chicken is marinated, grilled, and finely chopped. It is delicious, but not spicy hot. Beware, though, as the chicken can be quite a salt bomb. The carnitas is well-flavored, too, but again, finely chopped. My favorite burrito is carne asada con todos con salsa verde. Yum-o! One of my friends says this reminds him of the food he gets in Mexico. I think that's high praise for this charming little place! read more

Just devoured, like really devoured our burritos! They were so amazing! I had the chicken and my husband was lucky enough to have the chorizo (that isn't on the menu but they made specially for him). The chicken was so tasty and had a little spice to it, the chorizo was one of the best he's ever had (he orders it everywhere we go). The service at the counter was friendly, helpful and delivered with a sincere smile. I know there are comments below mine that say this is a must if you are in the area, and I completely agree! We come for the motogp race every year and just only discovered this place, that was a big mistake, can't believe we didn't try it before. Great tacos! We got four different types and all were fabulous. Their corn tortillas are some of the best we've ever had. We recommend trying the Buche taco. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of booths to sit in. read more

Walked inside and almost walked out. Not the best ambiance and there was a smell of bleach in the air. My husband insisted we give it a try and I'm glad we did.
