Their downfall, they need to have bartenders/workers who want to be there (including the owner). Since they don't have table service, they really need to advertise that you "must" order at the bar, obtain a number to take to your table, and return to the bar to pay your tab. It's very dysfunctional and the bartenders are not happy repeating the process. Further, I understand they put a lot of work into their specialty drinks and that takes time, however if you're not seated at the bar you can easily feel that you've been forgotten. This is a top down problem and the owners or managers need to figure it out quickly or they will be the only persons in the bar during their very limited hours!! Saturday evening at 6:00 pm and all of Morgan Hill was jumping.....except Silo's. We were literally the only couple in the bar.

My friend asked for extra olives with his martini and she responded with a rude "Really?" while making a face. It was such an unnecessary reaction to a totally simple and normal request. She also recommended that we order family style, which we followed, but the pacing between courses was extremely slow. We waited around 30+ minutes between our pasta and our protein entrees. For a restaurant that specifically recommends family style dining, the courses should be paced more appropriately so the table isn't sitting around waiting for the next round of food. The birthday cake situation was also frustrating. We had given our cake to the hostess when we arrived, but I guess our server was never notified of that. When I asked about a candle, she said she would bring it out with the birthday dessert, but brought out the restaurant's dessert instead. When she realized we had our own cake, she immediately took the bill back and said she needed to add the cake fee. The issue with that was we weren't asking them to cut or plate the cake. We just wanted to sing Happy Birthday, then have it boxed back up. She had assumed we wanted the cake service without actually asking us, and when we clarified, her response was, "Well, that's why I asked earlier," even though she hadn't actually asked us. The back does seem like a more classy environment and I'd choose this setting over a dive bar any day. It's savory and a bit sour, love. We sat outside and they had pizza to order back there and line dancing happening. It was fun to watch the environment and people dancing.
