I didn't fully know what I wanted, and honestly, I didn't even know the right questions to ask yet. Instead of throwing endless options at me, Dusty took a very intentional approach. He showed me a limited number of RVs and used each one to narrow down what I loved, what I didn't, and what would actually work long-term. What stood out most was how closely he listened -- not just to what I said, but to how I reacted. He noticed what made me light up, what I hesitated on, and what I clearly wasn't willing to compromise on, even before I fully realized it myself. By the time we found the right RV, there was no second guessing. No pressure. No confusion. Dusty doesn't just sell RVs -- he guides people through one of the biggest decisions they'll make toward freedom and independence. Wish i could have waited until the very end of my lease which is up in August. However, it seems…read morethat renewing your lease is far more important that relaying updates or even a response back to a work order regarding MOLD! I am a current renter who placed a work order in on Saturday June 13th. It has been a little over a week(today is June 23) and it took me going to the front office to get an update (on June 22) on what the solution was going to be about the MOLD i found in my AC vent... in MY BEDROOM. I am 8.5 months pregnant, and up until the last week i enjoyed my time at these apartments. The location was convenient, staff was friendly, maintenance was Always respectful and polite. But since this new management team has taken over, this place does not feel like a home. Work orders typically had a turnaround time of 24-48 hrs. So this makes no sense to me. When i went to the front desk, i asked about an update for my work order, i was informed "we have had to let several people go so we are running with two maintenance men at the moment". Which, fine! But the explanation on why my apartment hasn't been checked was what got me. I was told "i printed out all the work orders and they are aware of them all and are working through them as best as they can, if they are not in your unit by today, they will be there sometime in the morning. It is currently 1:32pm and yet NOT ONE person has been in my unit. Oh but let me not forget to inform them if I will be renewing my lease! I have received a total of 6 texts, 11 emails (from June 4-June 22) about renewing my lease and not one text/email with an update on my work order. I informed the front desk woman that i was not renewing (the mold definitely played a part in my decision) and turned in my form right then and there. Any consideration of renewing left when lease renewal took precedence over health. Hopefully this gets their attention, because this is definitely a management issue and not a maintenance issue. Their lack of staffing should not risk the health of renters and management needs to prioritize the work orders and not just hand off to maintenance and let them figure it out. ***UPDATE*** Since Beatriz is based out of Austin and has clearly no professional experience when it comes to accountability, let me add an update. The cleaners mentioned showed up the next day. Thank goodness! In their professional opinion they mentioned, yes, that the AC setting should be set to "auto" not "on". This is my second lease here, and i moved to this unit to upgrade from the smaller one i was in. NOT ONCE DID anyone mention this to me, nor have i experienced this in any apartment I've called home., BUT also poor design. They mentioned how the layout for the vent in the shower/restroom pushed the air to the bedroom causing poor ventilation and being a big part of the mold issue. So it was a combination of both things. Now had the ac setting been mentioned, i would have gladly taken accountability. Clearly something you do not know anything about. My review was more so to draw attention to the facts... it took me writing this review to get a response and/or action 7 BUSINESS DAYS LATER. It was the lack of urgency and accountability in action and response that was more of concern, second to the initial work order, MOLD. Beatriz, a more respectful response would have been to leave a number and have me contact you to get my side. A review CLEARLY does not allow enough space to give ALL details. Your lack of knowledge and information regarding this situation is clear. Had you attempted to reach out to speak to me this could have been taken care of with the office here. But because you chose the right one, i didn't have time to make this edit, but i MADE time. It is now public. This is only one of the many concerns and issues that happen here. This complex is not a place to call home anymore. There has been SEVERAL vehicle break-ins, all within the same day or days apart. Vandalism to vehicles(caused by hit and runs). Elevators constantly being broken down and taking days to repair so if you live on the first floor but have to park all the way up because there's no open spots on the lower levels, the stairs is the way to go.(good luck if you're on the 6th floor parking). Break-ins to storage units. I've had my street access door almost broken(or entry attempts) several times. As well as things stolen off my porch (like my shoes). I could go on. But public do what you will with this info.

The maintenance team is the best we've ever experienced! They respond to requests quickly and always complete their work with the highest quality. They also work really hard to keep the building and amenities super clean. The pest control here is fantastic because we never saw any insects or spiders in our apartment, ever. There are often community events including free beer Fridays, and most residents are also young professionals making these events well attended and fun. The amenities are beautiful and include a comprehensive gym with classes, pool area, rooftop patio, business center complete with an awesome coffee and latte machine, and a courtyard with grills, TVs, fountains, and a play area for the dogs. Obviously COVID temporarily limits the accessibility of most of these amenities, but in normal times they are quite lovely and make living here feel luxurious. The only caveat about living here is security. Even though it is a locked building requiring key fabs to gain access, my boyfriend had his car hit and run while parked in the parking structure by another resident (who didn't have car insurance and so denied the incident), my car was also broken into while parked inside the locked parking structure, and one of our bikes was stolen where it was chained and located in a locked bike room that only residents have access to. Our solution was to install cameras (both rear and front) to both of our vehicles, and if we weren't in the process of moving, we would choose to store our bicycles in our apartment instead of the provided bike room. Despite the security concerns, it's definitely worth living here. You can't beat the location, amenities, and office staff, all of which make this place a hidden gem. Just be aware and prepared to protect yourself and your belongings (install cameras on your car, extra locks on your bikes or store in apartment, good renters and car insurance, etc....).

I lived in Southtown Flats for almost 2 and a half years and loved it!…read more Location: Southtown Flats is conveniently located in the southtown area. If you want to live somewhere where you can walk to places, THIS is the apartment complex for you. There are so many bars, restaurants and breweries at a short walking distance (who needs uber?). Another cool thing is that the Riverwalk is just across from the apartment and you can go anywhere from there. Apartment Complex: I loved my apartment! I seriously loved everything about it; specially the kitchen. The floors, the color of the walls, the light fixtures...everything! Southtown Flats pool area, gym and rooftop are also pretty amazing. Their rooftop has by far one of the best views of the downtown area, and is the best place to watch the NYE fireworks. The pool is also really nice and during the summers Southtown Flats always throws a summer pool party which is pretty cool. Staff: Cecili and Art are the best team! Cecili manages the apartments, and she was always so good and accommodating to us. Art was always super helpful when fixing stuff around the apartment and would always go above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They are honestly the best apartment management team I've ever had! Bad Things: During my time living here someone broke into my car, and this issue happened to a lot of people in the complex. Some folks even had their cars stolen from here. This is definitely an ongoing issues that hasn't stopped and I wish the owners of Southtown Flats would be more understanding of this, and would have more security cameras around the complex. There's just not much the police can do if there's no actual footage of what's happening and I think the thieves know this. Anyways! Even though we had some bad experiences, I truly loved living here and would highly recommend it to everyone.

The building is called "The Mosaic" due to the tile work on the interior of the lobby of this place. They've taken a bunch of random colors, and made it look nice! The apartment complex has its own parking garage, which is nice, since parking can be a challenge around here. There's a pool in the center of the complex that looks out over 281. The apartments rise up from there, with small balconies that are covered by the balcony above. In the pool area are lots of places to sit, a cabana area, and some landscaping. The apartments are nice inside- large with tall ceilings. They seemed comfortable and well lit. I enjoyed this complex- it's still pretty new, having only been built in the past 3-4 years or so. It's located right on Broadway, so if you have the right apartment, you can watch the Fiesta activities right from your porch! My first year living in this apartment complex was wonderful, and I had no complaints at all…read more However, during my second year, the experience has completely changed. It seems like there is a new issue almost every day, and considering how expensive these apartments are, the number of ongoing problems is unacceptable. The office staff is another concern. Instead of providing solutions, they are often unhelpful and sometimes rude. They do not clearly explain policies or procedures, and the terms and conditions seem to change frequently, even though I originally signed a different lease agreement. There are also too many rules and restrictions. While some neighbors are very friendly and respectful, others are rude and inconsiderate. It is common to hear arguments and disturbances throughout the community. Although the property is attractive and generally well maintained, there are still issues such as cigarette smoke odors, despite smoking not being allowed. Another major inconvenience is the guest parking policy. Residents often need permits for visitors, and when the office is closed, it can be impossible to obtain one. This creates constant concern that a guest's vehicle may be towed. Overall, while the complex is beautiful and clean, my experience during this second year has been very disappointing, and I would not recommend it based on the management and ongoing issues.
