Though not perfect, you can get a great experience of Cuban food coming to Back to Cuba. Some suggestions I would like to share is that croquetas shouldn't be just an appetizer, but should be able to buy them individually. What makes Miami Cuban food so great is being able to order an espresso with 2 croquetas. The croquetas should also come with lime, a must! Instead I was brought ketchup. Pastelitos are listed as a dessert but it's really a pastry people would order as an appetizer or with their coffee, as well. Rice and beans were spot on! Lechón and yuca had the right flavors, just needed more of it. Overall, a great experience to make me feel back at home

The food is always fresh, tasty and authentic. Maybe my only complaint would be that they don't always have my favorite desserts. Lol Everything I've tried is good. The patacon is a generous size for the price. It can be shared if you're not feeling hungry. Totally family friendly and they have a small stage, I believe they have seasonal performances. The area? I mean... not the best but not the worst. The parking is shared with the other business. Must try!

The portions, however, were very generous (though do keep in mind you're likely to pay $25-35 for your meal). I decided on getting the Aji De Gallina while my friends each got the Tacu Tacu with steak and the Lomo A Lo Pobre. Here were my thoughts: -Aji De Gallina: 9/10 - The chicken comes in the creamiest, richest yellow pepper sauce, and there's a good amount of it. The flavor is exquisite. There are also large rounds of boiled potato, which go great with everything. You get rice with it too, but it was too much for me and I mostly just ate the chicken stew and potatoes. HIGHLY recommend this one! -Tacu Tacu: 7.5/10 - Super salty, very meaty, really good. Comes with lots sauce, rice, meat, and some cooked tomatoes and onions. The veggies were a nice touch, and this was a decent, filling meal. -A Lo Pobre (lomo): 6/10 - It wasn't bad, by any means, as it had lots of variety on the plate. The meat was good, thought the sauce had less flavor than the Tacu Tacu. The fries were not very flavorful, crispy, or salty, which was disappointing. The fried plantains were good, however! Next time I'd try the ceviche, though it does make me nervous to get ceviche in Nashville!

She was on her phone a lot and ignored us when we needed help, which made the whole experience frustrating. What's strange is we've been there before and had a completely different experience with her when the manager was around. It felt like without supervision, her attitude changed a lot. It's a shame because the place has potential, but service like that really brings it down. I just hope she realizes customers deserve to feel welcome and taken care of . don't waste your money there

Nashville, Tennessee's Pupuseria Metapaneca is the very definition of hole-in-the-wall restaurant…read morewith almost no ambience and a location that you would drive by every day without ever noticing. It is in a hidden strip plaza behind a Jack in the Box and the only way to know that a restaurant is here is by what appears to be a homemade sign above the storefront. Walking in I was greeted by a woman and a little girl perhaps five-years-old, maybe six-years-old at the most. She certainly wanted to help what I assume is her mother. I ordered two pupusas off of the menu, as well as a carne asada taco. Be advised that the prices must have got up because on the menu the pupusas were $2.50 and the taco was a dollar fifty. And yet my total with those two items and a bottle of water, which was advertised for a dollar, came out to me over $9. Not a big hiking price and honestly, it is what I would expect to pay for this food. It does bear mentioning. They had giant containers of the Salvadorian coleslaw. Which goes with pupusas. I genuinely enjoyed this coleslaw, as I always do. The pupusas were good at the taco was decent. Nashville, Tennessee it's a city that has some fantastic pupusas. Honestly, I tell people that my favorite city that I have had pupusas in so far is Nashville. While these were good, I have had better in Nashville. I am still giving this establishment five stars because in there a little corner of the world, or at least their corner of Nashville, Tennessee, we were pretty much the only game in town. So this save me about a fifteen or twenty minute drive each way.

My partner and I visited on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and it wasn't overly crowded (it was also raining...so take that into account). I ordered a pork/cheese pupusa along with a carne asada baleadas. The Pupusa was served with all the typical staples: slaw in a HUGE container and the hot sauces. They came out hot and fresh with the perfect blend of soft, flavorful inside and crisp exterior. This was my first time trying baleada, a popular El Salvadorian comfort food. It was very satisfying and quite large: a soft flour tortilla with refried beans, eggs, and meat. The star of the show (aside from the Pupusa) was the beef tacos. These were flavor bombs with a nice char on the meat. Will order again. The staff was friendly and their offer their menu in Spanish and English. The kitchen is open, and you can see the staff working hard on your meal after you order. This is now added to my list of staples in Nashville. Looking forward to being a frequent visitor.

Like most of the pupuserias that I have been in, this place is extremely humble and definitely offers little in the way of ambiance and atmosphere. There are a few tables and some cheap paintings and bric-a-brac hanging on the walls. Even my salt and pepper shaker were mismatched. But to me, this made me anticipate my dinner more. The process here is you place an order at the counter and when it is ready, they bring you your food. There was a bit of a language barrier, but the young lady taking my order was friendly and it was not really an issue. The menu was quite diverse and offered a nice selection of fillings for their pupusas. I opted to go with a mixed pupusa, a chorizo and cheese pupusa and a jalapeño and cheese pupusa. Then I noticed that they had tacos and impulsively ordered an asada taco. I chose a seat and before long, they brought me my feast and I have to say that it looked impressive. After my first bite, I decided not only did it look impressive, but it tasted even better than it looked. If you find yourself in Nashville, Tennessee, I would definitely recommend a visit here.
