The location may look small on the outside near Highway 70, but the food and atmosphere make it worth the stop. Overall, great food, great people, and a great experience. Second time visits this spot. Came in today on a Sunday around noon. Wasn't busy when we arrived but started to quickly pick up but crazy loud. Service is here is solid. For me, service is the difference that gets extra stars. Super friendly and lots of energy. To go order was placed quickly. The whole chicken with tortillas is always a no brainer for us. Los Chilangos reminds me of a casino -- you're gambling every time you walk in. Most visits feel like a roll of the dice, and the odds aren't exactly in your favor. You might get lucky once in a while and end up with a decent meal, but more often than not, you're left wondering why you took the chance. Consistency is sorely lacking, and good food here feels more like a rare jackpot than the standard. They can't even give you a good clean Burrito Birria meat with no Bay Leaves. My kids & I ventured out to Los Chilangos yesterday. I'd been there before, and even left a review for them sometime back. The menu was full of awesome delights! I ordered a carnitas burrito. My kids got crispy carne asada tacos, and our friends opted for the cheeseburger and fries. We ordered it to go. While we waited we took advantage of the small, but mighty, salsa bar. The chips were delightfully warm, and I opted for the mild chunky salsa. The moment I sampled the salsa my excitement grew with anticipation of what we ordered! The salsa was probably the best I have ever had! Just the right mixture of cilantro, onions, and excellent seasonings. I made sure to gather myself a couple salsas to go! We only waited about 10 minutes for our food, and the cook actually brought our hot food out! Oh, the customer service was wonderful! We made it home, and it was a bitter fight as to who got to grab their order first! I won! I fixed my plate, and just by looking at my burrito I knew I was in for a treat! I cut it in half since the burritos are mega! I took my first bite, and instantly felt like I was at a party! I'm talking so darn good! My kids tacos were supreme, and soon after finishing their tacos they were eyeing my other half of burrito! I happily gave it up and I saw the delight shine forcefully as they tasted it! My friends cheeseburgers looked great! And the consensus was that they tasted excellent, too! Everyone loved their food! This is my go to spot! OBSESSED with this spot in Olivehurst! They have some of the best carne asada tacos that I've come across in the area. The meat is marinated, the salsa is flavorful, and the tortillas are fresh. You can definitely taste the quality in their ingredients. They are on the pricier side in comparison to other similar restaurants in the area, but I don't mind when I want something extra tasty. The staff is very helpful and friendly, you can tell that they focus on efficient and fast service. They have some dining tables inside the restaurant and patio seating outside as well. They also have a small parking lot, we've never had an issue with parking. It's definitely become our go-to spot for tacos in the area! read more

Took a Sunday drive and it was around lunch time. I stopped in and picked the pasole. Yum. Rich and delicious! The owner lady was sweet and helpful. I eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants. This place is so cute! The staff is lovely, friendly, and smiling. It's so clean! The vegetables and everything is so Fresh and you can tell. It tasted amazing. I got the Tostadas de Camaron (Shrimp Tostada) and a crunchy chicken taco. And my friend got a Mega Longaniza (similar to chorizo) Burrito. We were both incredibly satisfied and happy. Pretty dam good whole chicken that they grill for you then chop it up. The cashier girl was so nice. When I told her this was my first time, she was so nice and helped me order. Muy rico el menudo. We love ordering the menudo, sopes and pollos asados!! They are the best. The pollos are so yummy and welled cooked. The menudo is also one of our favorite menudos in town! What a great local gem. We've been on a kick of trying all the local hidden spots and this stop was no disappointment. Wife and I are both fans of this style of grilled chicken so we knew we had to stop by. Service was great, not busy and was in and out. They take Apple Pay and currently only offer seating outside. You get a receipt after paying inside and use that to get your chicken being grilled out front. We got one pollo and as soon as I got in the car it was an amazing smell. Great flavor, cooked perfect and not dry. Has that fresh, mesquite grilled taste and you cannot go wrong for the price. I will be back for more and a michelada. 3.3.17 Finally got to try out this little hole in the wall spot in Olivehurst. Plenty of parking outside. Inside is fairly clean with a lot of beverages to choose from. Service is excellent. Girls are very polite. Very tasty, smoky grilled chicken! Even the skin has a little crunch to it which we all love! The wife & I tore up a whole chicken to ourselves lol! I don't know what took me so long to write a review on this place, but here it goes! I've been coming here since I first saw the oak grilled chicken queing outside about three years ago. Its the best grilled chicken in the Yuba-Sutter area hands down! I don't know what they marinate them in the day before, but it is on-point. The final result is the same every time. It use to be $9.00 when I first started coming here; now it's $11.00. The roasted pepper salsa they give you with the chicken is another winner. It is homemade! We always order tortillas to go along with it; maybe rice and beans. We break off a piece of tortilla, fill it with some chicken, rice and beans if we ordered it, add some of their salsa, and man it is a real treat. A year after we started coming here, the wife and I discovered their menudo and posole. It is again the best in we tried in the Yuba-Sutter area. The first time I ate their menudo, I finished it all, including the broth, and I never do that. The broth has flavor; whereas, most of the places where I had menudo, they were bland and I had to add a lot of salt or I'd bring my own seasonings. Yes, I've done that! My wife said they have the best posole she ever tried. I had their tacos and they were good. I recently had their Mexican breakfast and it was really good. I mistakenly ordered Eggs a la Mexicana. In my head I thought I ordered Steak a la Chicana. They don't serve Steak a la Chicana. By the time I realized my mistake, I stuck with my order. I wanted meat though. Well, as it turned out, the Eggs a la Mexicana was really good; plus it was only $5.99. My wife can never finish her posole; so I helped her with that and I was plenty full by the end of our meal. Her posole had a lot of meat and she added the hot chili oil to it and it was taken to another level. The chili oil had a nice roasted chili flavor to it. It really livened the dish. I did notice one thing though. Whenever I ordered menudo, they never added hominy; but the posole my wife had, had hominy. I wonder if that's just how they serve it there. Now that I know they have hominy, I'll ask them to add it. By the way, they only serve their oak grilled chicken Friday thru Sunday! read more

Stopped by wanted to try the chicken that they grill out front, chicken rice,beans,with corn tortillias. It was pretty good although on the salty side. I figure that was pretty good and wanted to try more items on their menu. The problem happened when I tried to phone my next order in, Person answered could not figure out what the item I was trying to order could not tell me what it came with meat choices etc.... "Hung up the phone on me " Would not answer when I tried to call back thinking it might of been accidental.....Sad Bear in mind I was not rude and deal with that in my own culture I am very understanding in that respect as I myself cannot speak that well.
