I'm always on the hunt for good carnitas tacos. This truck was recommended to me by a few people and they were completely right! So good. No seating, but they are located in the Shell station parking lot across from Kirkland Urban, which means also across from Peter Kirk Park. Grab some tacos (and maybe a Happy Lemon - right next door!) and dine al fresco on a nice day. All their food is packaged for takeaway so it's also a great "grab on the way home from work" option. Highly recommend! read more

Los Chilangos in Kirkland is a taco truck at a gas station. Nothing wrong with that of course. Good food can be found anyway. It's a take-out place only without seating. Service was swift. We arrived midday, 4-ish. There were no lines. They took our order as soon as we were ready, and our food was ready in 5 min. Super-fast meal. The Food: 3 Street Tacos, $3.25 each + $0.50 for 1 lengua - 4 Stars I ordered 1 al pastor pork (guajillo marinated pork served with grilled pineapple), 1 carnitas (citrus marinated pulled pork), and 1 lengua (braised in herbs and garlic beef tongue). All three of the meats are very good. To be honest, covered with spicy sauce (still having heartburn hours later), I inhaled the food so fast that they taste about the same. Ok, not the lengua, that's kind of obvious. All three tacos are great with fresh tasting tortillas, topped with fresh veggies. Three tacos are the right amount for me. Godfather Burrito, $14.50 - 3.5 Stars Menu: Large flour tortilla filled with rice, black beans, your favorite meat choice, lettuce, pico de gallo, guacamole, grilled onions, and salsa Large and well stuffed, our only complaint is that we felt the need to add salsa. It wasn't quite good enough by itself, or maybe even a bit dry without added sauce. We had jarred salsa at home, so we added that. It's a bit of blasphemy to add the jarred salsa to a good burrito, but it was necessary. read more

Tried out this taco truck since it was right next to the gas station. only ordered a beef and pork taco to taste. It came in a nice clear box so the presentation was great for takeout. it is detailed with couple pieces of radish, lime, and a really flavorful salsa (mild in this case). It came was traditional 2 layer corn taco that was fresh. The pork was moist and flavorful. The beef can be more moist and needs a little more seasoning. Can't wait to try out their other items on the menu. Ate the tacos on the way home so didn't have a chance to take a picture! read more

These guys know how to make a quesadilla! They're huge, and flavorful. I love the salsa that comes with and the cabbage mixture on the side. I will follow this food truck wherever they go, but thankfully they're just up the street from my folks place. There's sometimes a little table to sit at, but it's best for grab and go! read more

I stopped by for lunch in the neighborhood, downtown Kirkland. There were some parking spots available in that gas station so it's very convenient. The ambiance was laid back and service was friendly and efficient. I ordered breakfast with carne asada, large horchata, chilaquiles con huevos with chorizo. They were really delicious and authentic and we enjoyed every bite. Horchta was creamy and it's the best one I've had. I mixed my coffee and it tasted phenomenal. Great experience and we will come back soon. read more

Best breakfast burritos around! This cute Mexican food truck does NOT disappoint. My partner and I found this truck back in Ballard at the farmer's market a few years ago (it seriously revived us from far too many late nights), and we were so excited to see they have multiple locations after we moved! While the breakfast burritos (with chorizo!) are my fave, the street tacos are also excellent. I tried out the al pastor, carnitas, and chupa cabra - al pastor definitely won. Service is always professional and quick. Highly recommend. read more

I was craving a quesadilla so I went for a ride along the waterfront to one of the half dozen or so Los Chilangos taco trucks on the east side. Got the cabeza quesadilla. This particular truck is in the gas station lot where Wendy's once was. Beef cabeza was savory, umame, perfectly tender and spicy. The quesadilla was enough for two small meals and wait time was only a few minutes. Its not very apparent that english at this truck is a tiny bit limited so dont mistake it as rudeness or what not they just dont speak conversational but they are very nice people and they make pretty good mexican food. I recommend for quick bite but there are better options if u have the time to drive further. Very good option for convenience. read more

One of the best tacos I've had! I love their corn taco skin -- very moist and crispy at the same time. What I like most about it is also the favt that it is not too oily, which often a lot of tacos are. Al pastor 4/5 - pork marinated in Guajillo with pineapples. Good combination of sweet, sour, and umami. They also have grilled onion on the side Pollo 4.5/5 - I liked this a lot! The chicken is very tender and flavorful. Their service is also great! They prepared it quite fast and the packaging is really nice. The plastic they use is biodegradable. read more

I was craving a breakfast burrito. I drove all the way to kirkland from Redmond, the cook gave me a nasty look, still lakd $18 for a burrito, my burrito ce with uncooked potatoes and the carne asada was only fat , no meat. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. read more

I was in a mood for a burrito and we specifically were looking out for a food truck. We were close to this spot in Kirkland, so headed to Taqueria Los Chilangos Shell gas station. Highlights: *Their menu has been updated since the last photo on Yelp, but I didn't end up taking a photo of the truck and menu *Ask explicitly for napkins/utensils if you need; we didn't get any, but had extras in the car *Yes yes YES the food was very flavorful and we'd eat here again There was room in the lot to park, so we got lucky on that front. The staff were friendly and attentive; a really welcoming food truck with music and large menu. The food was finished quickly. I ordered a burrito with hot salsa and a house-special meat; I don't recall the exact name. My bf ordered a quesadilla with carne asada with hot salsa. They were both very delicious! Great portions (we both had leftovers); the meat was flavorful w heat and spice. They didn't slack on the amount of filling. We also ordered some horchata. It was creamy, spiced, and complimented the food nicely. read more

Ordered the Peter Breakfast Tacos. Was stuffed w tender, flavorful meat (I picked al pastor & carnitas), was pretty good, would order again. The guacamole and chips weren't so good. Chips probably came from a package (ie not fried in-house) and the guac was a small amt with no onion, tomato, cilantro -not worth the price, wouldn't order again. Overall prob more like a 3.5 stars. Haven't tried too much on their menu, would go again if in the mood for quick Mexican. read more

Best tacos in Kirkland!!! I actually live pretty close by but never noticed this cute little food truck. I went all the way up to Bothell for tacos at the La Sabrosa Taqueria on the same day for lunch. I discovered it around dinner on the way to check out the newly opened Happy Lemon boba tea shop. Of course I want to try it too. I got the Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and Chupa Cabral. They are great! I won't need to go all the way to Bothell for tacos now. Carne asada tacos were more flavorful and tender than the Al Pastor tacos. My Mexican- borned boyfriend thought it was super weird that Al Pastor had pineapple chunks in it. Horchata was good! Flavorful and it didn't have ice so that was pretty cool. Truck was easy to find in the Shell gas station across the street from the Google building. Would probably come back for the burrito, but will skip the al pastor stuff. read more

I love that downtown Kirkland has a taco truck! The tacos here are good. Half of a taco's quality is in the tortilla, and it's very tasty. Get the carne asada, pastor, and the chupa cabra (their special). I'll try the burrito and torta next! read more

Do not sleep on this taco truck! Most authentic street tacos in Kirkland. We live nearby and have quickly become regulars to this food truck! They are located in the parking lot of the gas station (Shell) off Central way and seem to be open every day except on Sunday's. They serve breakfast all day too! The people who work here ARE SO NICE! We have tried the quesadilla, street tacos, burritos and all the breakfast options. I love that they have tons of options for meat (including multiple types of pork and tongue which you don't see everywhere), everything we have tried has been flavorful and delicious. Warning: the habanero wet burrito is SPICY! We also love their homemade salsas but they aren't as hot as this one There are other places to get street tacos in the area but these are the best we've had by far and the prices are way better! Must try!!! read more

I rarely leave reviews. And people are more apt To talk about a negative experience than a positive one. So I guess this fits the trope. But I have to start off with this: my favorite food of all time is a carne asada burrito. It has all the food groups. It's portable, resealable and most of all yummy. So I have a high standard. But even if I didn't this place would be dog shit. For the price they charge you can go to a sit down restaurant and get actual service. Do yourself a favor... drive to El Rinconsito in Bellevue. Yea it's farther away but you'll finish your meal with a smile, your salsa will have flavor and with the money you saved on an overpriced slop wrap it'll equal about the same when accounting for gas. Except el rinconsito doesn't charge you for a lime wedge .55 cents and then forget to put it in the bag. The meat (carne asada) was chewy and tough, the salsa had no flavor. It was just green or red and no flavor or hot and they stuck lettuce in the damn thing. That's a first from someone who has had burritos from Tia Juana and all the north through the coast to Vancouver BC. I know this is the East side and they have to whitewash this shit and charge exorbitant prices so that the mommies in yoga pants feel they're spending their husband engineer's money well. But next time if I'm in a bind and can't drive I'll saunter over to Qfc and get a bag or resers frozen burritos. Because at least I get ten for that price and I already expect one grade above dog food. You would think a taco truck would be cheaper and more efficient and actually know how to wrap a burrito. This thing looked like a kid from the 90's wearing clothes that are 3 sizes too big but with the audacity to say " what? You not gonna eat me?" And for the price I was strong armed into paying I'm not wasting the money. I've lived in DT kirkland for 10 years now. I've seen a lot of restaurants come and go. And I noticed that this one seems to stick around. So I gave it a shot. But it dawned on me that the only reason they're still here is that there's no rent to pay in a parking lot truck. Had these Jamokes had to pay a brick and mortar front and provide this type of food they would have been out of biz years ago. My only regret is that I did not slip on a banana peal on the sidewalk and give myself a concussion so that I couldn't remember this meal. If I were clinically depressed it would have driven me to the edge of suicide. Avoid this place. Get an AM PM corn dog. Instead. You know what to expect and it's priced for what it really is. The corn dog will never lie to you and pretend to be gourmand. read more

Great taco truck in Kirkland. A friend and I were going over to Chainline Brewery and decided to pick up some tacos on the way. We each got 3 tacos, I had chicken, carne asada, Al pastor. The Al pastor was my favorite because of the pineapple! The service was very friendly and our tacos were ready in just a few minutes. I will definitely be back! read more

Amazing street tacos, great value and fast service. My favorite place to go for tacos in the Kirkland area. Somewhat limited parking at the gas station the taco truck parks at, but I've always have been able to find parking fairly close. Most people get their food to go. Lots of options for meat and prices are reasonable. They sometimes close early without notice, but it's only happened to me a couple times over many months. read more

Came for the cheap tacos, got cheap tacos. My fiancé and I are both taco truck fans, but we don't understand the high ratings this place has. The meat was cheap and gristly, the tacos were inexplicably wet, and we ended up not finishing our six tacos because they just weren't enjoyable. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately their food really missed the mark. There was also a piece of bone in my chicken taco. Gross. read more

I think I'd give it 3.5 if I ate there in person, I didn't realize it was even a food truck until now. Have ordered multiple times through uber eats. The last couple times they kept forgetting any salsa when the order usually comes wiht it and I had paid or order extra. :( I *really* like their green salsa. I think its the mild one but I forget, I usually note that its green on my order. The tacos are quite delicious and the prices are awesome and kept me coming back. This may just be a personal taste thing but, I kind of wish they had a different option other than the purple onions though, the tacos are so good but I think the purple onions overpower the whole thing. After the last time I ordered from here, first they forgot the salsa (which is SO good and the best part) that was included and the extra order I paid for.. and then the amount of onions (or maybe it was just that particular onion?) was so overpowering that I swear its all I could smell for DAYS. It like seeped into my hands or skin.. and as someone who works in healthcare I constantly wash and sanitize my hands, it wouldn't go away. I just recommend they try white onions or sweet onions or to have another option because I think it would upgrade their food a bit more. Also just be sure to **pay attention to order notes** on the uber eats and other food delivery orders. Usually people ordering on these apps are at work or otherwise just unable to go get their food or go back to get something that was forgotten. Lunch breaks are scheduled and only so much time. You'd get better reviews and feedback if you start doing those things. Still offering 3 stars because of the quality ingredients (aside from purple onion of doom), amazingly sustainable to-go ware and good prices. Definitely worth checking out, but maybe skip the takeout order if its through and app for the first experience. read more

I have never been to Mexico. The last time I had bangin al pastor was in LA 15 years ago. Do I know my al pastor, no, but I can say Los chilangos Al pastor was pretty good for the location. Since moving to the area 6 months ago Ive had about 5 places so far and los chilangos is worthy of a review. The carnitas was not bad either. It was the moist variety and not the dry kind where they cooked on the griddle in fat for sometime to create a crispiness. Happy to have found a go to taqueria truck. Word up. read more

You ever crave tacos but you don't really feel like driving too far to get some quality food? Look no further because Taqueria Los Chilangos delivers. They're a taco truck located right next to a boba cafe and a gas station but they make the best Mexican food around town, hands down. You can get tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and it's all super affordable. The portion sizes are very generous and you get full off of how much flavor is loaded into each dish. Recently I have just tried their Chilaquiles con Huevos. It is breakfast ambrosia. It's basically tortillas that are cut up and fried and then topped with a meat of your choice along with cheese and cream and it is absolutely divine. Not to mention 2 eggs cooked however you like it (but sunny side up is my preference) and comes with a small serving of black beans. The flavors come together like the Power Rangers forming their giant mech. If you haven't tried Taqueria Los Chilangos, then you are missing out. read more

It's Ok. It isn't anything to rave about. Honestly.. It is a bit of sh!tshow. I have stood there before and finally walked away because no one is watching for customers standing below. I had one of the managers at QFC recommend this place so I tried again. I went online to see their menu to know what to order, I tried calling in my order before walking down there to get food, the number rang and rang, finally with a message that said it wasn't working. Ok, so I walked down to place my order and wait for the food. The menu is difficult to read off the side of the truck and really doesn't have the same choices as what you see online. Again.. OK. It was basically the same thing, standing there till one of the workers walks up to the truck and goes inside, letting the gal inside know I was standing there. From there, no problem. The food? It is Ok. It isn't anything wonderful, or better than any other taco truck in the area, which in all honesty really aren't that good. If you are hungry and you are in the area? Sure, give it a try. If you can get someone to take your order in a timely fashion.. Even better. Even as close as they are to us, I don't really think I will be ordering that much food from them in the future. it is edible, it just isn't that great. read more
