I'm not a fan of just giving away five star reviews as if they are tic-tacs. (lol) Luis at Los Barbers really earned it! I was skeptical about coming here and honestly it's because of the prices. But after much Google searching and really needing a hair cut I decided to come to Los Barbers. Luis had been recommended by someone who's known him since kindergarten. I thought this was amazing! So, made my appointment online, made an exception and went and got a haircut at 9AM. I've never gotten up this early for a haircut appointment. -LOL- But it's all Luis had available for today. This barber shop is "extra-extra" clean! The first barber who greeted me was nice. In a good mood considering it was 9AM. (haha) I waited for Luis, my newfound barber two minutes. (Not bad at all) A friendly guy, good and positive energy, a cool vibe and right attitude. Exactly what I was hoping for. I am all about the "attitude." Overall, I understood why the prices. Yes, Mondays and Tuesdays they have walk-in specials for $25 but I had an appointment. Yet, I still got a little discount and some complimentary hair products. Thank you Luis! Los Barbers is an experience. I cannot vouch for anyone else that cuts hair here, but I can say that Luis has set the tone for what this shop is all about. I observed the other two barbers working on clients and they seemed good. I am happy to report I found my new barbershop and better yet; my new barber. If you want to look good; seek no more. Luis is awesome, I've been coming for a year. I checked their app to see if I might reschedule an appointment. I clicked "reschedule" and it gave me an error message in a big red box. I trimmed a second time and I got the same message. The bad part happened when I backed out I saw that my appointment had been flat out cancelled and so I have to wait another week. If you have an appointment at a business you show up before your scheduled appointment and yet they still make you wait for longer than 50minutes! on top of that they take in someone else who got there after? & for the barber to just tell me oh the other guy will just cut your hair WHEN he's still cutting someone's hair? HORRIBLE This isn't even the first time they do this! Trying to be nice and come back just for them to continue to do this. Literally just left the shop and I'm sorry to say I will not be returning. I think they're hiring freshly licensed barbers, and if that's that case please keep an eye on them. I understand they have to learn but they still need the guidance. My friend's haircut looks like it was done by someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Sides are uneven and not even blended. So glad we finally found a barber who is talented, professional and punctual. The shop is located in downtown Azusa. It is clean and has a dope vibe inside. Zedan was super easy to book via Booksy and like I said, we arrived a few minutes early and he was just finishing up his previous client. Zedan understood the assignment and my son was absolutely satisfied with his taper fade and lineup. The enhancements perfected the overall look. My son is 15 and as a single mom, I've gone through dozens of different shops in different cities looking for the perfect barber. It's hard finding a barber who's on time, doesn't cancel last minute, knows how to do a dope fade and is professional. I hope he stays at this shop! Azusa is super convenient for us. Posting a second review of this barbershop as I wanted to comment how the owner has removed his original response to my first review where he was unnecessarily condescending, implying my negative experience was because I failed to understand the complexities of running a business or the challenges of being a barber. I entirely understand how complicated it is to run a business as well as the many challenges that barbers face each day. However it's unacceptable to have a client wait over an hour when they had an appointment, as well as all of the other issues encountered that day. It's worth noting that I appreciate them no longer speaking down towards former clients in their comments of reviews, however, I unfortunately still stand by my original review that i will never come back to this establishment again. These barbers are unethical and/or just evil business men! They had a sign outside stating $25 haircuts for walk-in's. I walked in to get a haircut for my son. 1 person was ahead of us in the chair. After they were done the barbers said they were all booked with appointments all day and not taking any walk-ins. WHAT? I said, that's false advertising with the sign outside. He said you can make an appointment for an extra $5 and the haircut would be $45. I told that's bad business and double the price and he didn't care. I walked out. I won't go there again. I would give it one star if the outcome of the haircut wasn't good. But if you don't have a couple of hours to spare, I don't recommend this shop. It's a shame that the aesthetic of the shop doesn't match the service time. I dropped off my teen for a regular cut and fade (nothing crazy), at 1145am. He didn't get in a chair for his 12pm appointment until 1220pm. His cut was not one until 145pm!! I had my two younger children in the car the entire time waiting and hungry. As a woman, it takes me 3hrs for full weave of highlights....$49 (before tip) for 2hrs in a chair isn't a bad price but I don't know any other barber shop that takes more than 30mins! Not even a discount was offered. When we booked the appointment of their Fresha app the only barbers listed were Guillermo and Luis (the owner). I selected "any" and other barbers were in the shop. The owner Luis is great with people and haircuts. 100% of the time, I've scheduled an appointment and normally, they take you up with in 10-15m after your appointment. Seems like they've started to hire barbers that have recently graduated from barber school and don't have a lot of experience. Today was a little different. I was definitely in need of a haircut and had (as before) scheduled in advance, but didn't have a lot of time to wait until my turn came up (with an appointment). Look, I know sometimes people run behind, but when you're told 15m after your appointment that the barber that was scheduled to cut your hair is running 5m behind, which meant "I" would now be running 20-25m behind my day, I had enough. Communication and punctuality is essential in my business and when there isn't any, your business it unorganized and causes you to loose revenue. I won't be giving them a chance again. Be mindful and be prepared to have a window of 1 1/2 to 2 hours of your day spent between waiting for your appointment and paying. Good luck. read more

For years now my wife is the only one who I'd trust to cut my hair. 6 months ago she was diagnosed with a rare cancer, Angioimmunoblastic T-cell Lymphoma, and she currently doesn't have the strength to do my hair. I have driven past Los Barbers on my way home many times since they opened and I've been curious about their service. I reviewed their yelp reviews and aside from the people complaining about the walk-in policy I was pleased with the reviews. I booked an appointment online with any stylist available for noon on Christmas Eve. When I arrived I met a young man named Andrew and he got started immediately. Since it has been a while that anyone other than my wife has cut my hair, I was a bit apprehensive but Andrew did a great job asking questions and making suggestions. Andrew spent his time doing a very high quality cut that I am very pleased with. When I was preparing to pay my bill, Andrew informed me that there was an additional $10 charge as they were working on Christmas Eve. This caught me off guard as there was no mention of this on the website or prior to the service. I was fine with this but felt they should have been more up front with the additional charge. Andrew agreed and allowed me to skip the tip which I appreciated. I will be looking forward to using their service again. read more

As I advised you my son had prior commitments and I didn't know his schedule so when in rescheduled the first time I didn't know his schedule so that was the first reason if me rescheduling and than after confirming the second appt with my son he had already paid to be else where later in the day that is way I canceled the second time so as far as there being 3 cancellations that is false. Took my younger brother this morning a little past 11:30am as a walk in, they told him to come back after 6pm because they didn't have many barbers. We came back around 7, after 20 minutes of him waiting, they told him they couldn't squeeze him in for a haircut. They close at 9pm and have a sign saying "walk ins welcome". What a great experience! This barbershop in Azusa is the place to go for a refined and tailored haircut, in a pleasant and very trendy atmosphere. The vintage cutters and razor blades at display bring a fine touch, and Luis is an expert with the scissors. My haircut ended up being even better than I envisioned it, and I have to thank Luis for it. I know I didn't explain it very well. I got the El Barber Special, I got nose hair wax, it was quite the experience. I also got the hot towel shave. I never felt my face that smooth since I was a baby. Not that recall what my face felt like when I was a baby, but I could imagine its how it felt after my shave. The place has a COOL VIBE! The Staff was friendly!
