Called another barber shop in town today and they said they had no openings, so I called here. The guy on the phone said "come now's a good time." Walked in and my boys were taken right away. They had some grown out messes, the guys at proof gave them some sweet fades with hard parts and they look awesome. We used to go to Great clips, and my boys sometimes came out looking like a cast member from the golden girls. We have found our new spot! It's a lil more pricey than great clips but worth the cost to have my already ridiculously handsome boys look even more **Updated review** Had to change the 5 star to a one star. The staff here is unprofessional, hours posted are not hours they're more like possibly, maybe, we'll be there hours, waited for over an hour in parking lot, (I wasn't the only one waiting either) called number multiple times got straight v/m each time. For the price of these cuts, there should be a little more respect for loyal clientele! Then, the element that hangs around this shop made me feel a little uncomfortable, I'm no sissy lala, but they had what seemed to be homeless just hanging around, walking in and out of the back room, people smoking weed on their outside bench and I bring my kids here to get haircuts? If it was just me, I wouldn't mind going in and being around the riffraff but not my kids. Keith did my hair today on the first Saturday since the lockdown has been lifted. He was very professional, and to alleviate my fears in this covid19 times, he was wearing a mask the entire time, hand gloves and completely disinfect the chair and his barber tools before cutting my hair. Love my haircut. Also, there's a small sink in the middle of the barber station to wash your hands after. Strongly recommended. read more

As soon as I entered the business, I did not feel welcome. I was hoping to wait, or if that was not an option, book an appointment. The first barber told me he was fully booked and directed me to a second one, and he was fully booked too and was very reluctant to chat with me at all. Less than mediocre shop. Came in with my son, and autistic brother in law and were seen by two different barbers. Although my brother in law is autistic, he is the chillest and is never fidgety. Each barber saw us after a 45 minute wait, as a couple of other customers left because of the wait. A few things I noticed was how horribly covered the floors were with hair around the barbers. I mean I know it's COVID time, and everyone is hairy, but wow it looked like it wasn't cleaned up for a bit. Customers were stepping on old neck papers on the floor, like toilet paper out of the restroom. It looked like most of the barbers got down with there fades on IG and yelp, but man these barbers are butchers lol. Each of the barbers managed to cut my son and brother in law while we were there. At 23 per cut, I was half expecting some quality barbering, but scarring your customers??? My brother in law looks like he was given a scar outline on the back of his head, and my son was cut pretty deeply on his ear with a razor. My brother in laws barber didn't even let him hold the mirror after the cut. Considering that my brother is autism, he didn't realize what was happening and couldn't speak up in the moment. His barber took me directly afterward without cleaning up the floor, continued to cut my hair. My son was being cut while my hair was, so I was unaware of his barber's actions when he cut my sons ear. He also didn't mention the cut when he wanted 23 dollars for a kids cut. This gentleman cuts hair two chairs away from the entrance. He also had an odd demeanor, which was condescending. When he asked how I would like my sons haircut, he rudely replied with 'just like the last boys haircut that I did????' Like ok?? Did you see me staring at you or something? I didn't even know this guy was here until he called us up! These guys need to get there business together, and manage some quality control in there barbershop. I'm sorry but as first time walk ins, this says A LOT about what happens in that shop. read more

I made an appointment the day of for 2:30 , got there at 2:28 and announced that I had made the appointment. Sat there for 15 minutes while a boy was receiving a haircut, as soon as he is up, the only one barber there calls another person knowing well that I was there. The man next to him tells him "he made an appointment " to which the barber justifies it with saying that the other customer was there before me. What the f@#$ is the point of an appointment of a business will not respect it? I left without wanting to fight. I know this is only one bad review out of 20 but people need to know that appointments are of no importance at this barber shop. You lost one customer today. read more

Worst haircut experience I've ever had to deal with. Old man that opened Tuesday 5/8/18 was very aggressive and seemed to have problems going on as he was on his cell phone when I walked in, he beings to cut my hair but not before struggling searching every drawer to get ready as he wasn't prepared for the day and couldn't find anything started breathing heavily ( I asked for no taper no fade just a trim how my hair already is & looks ) first thing he starts doing is giving me a fade then ask if we're gonna go to skin? I say " no I asked for no taper " Then says my haircut is free because of him being distracted and not paying attention to his customers. I did not want a free haircut I wanted a good one, I guess I came to the wrong place. As he continues I repeat myself saying it's ok I mention he had seemed distracted maybe that was the reason, the Barbor then begins to tell me he had a lot on his plate & then seemed to get very irritated I got so uncomfortable so I told him I'll just finished my haircut somewhere else he then said " ok just go get out then" as he ripped the apron off me. Worst and most unprofessional Barbor ever the owner would be silly to keep a guy like that around. Before the old man started I was wondering why they would have him working there with his age and glasses I figured he just needed the job. It was obvious the guy had issues. This isn't the type of establishment we want in Glendora hopefully the other workers aren't like this. I sincerely hope owners and management read this and take it seriously. Not a bad place, friendly staff and I can tell they do good work in general. It should be marked with two dollar signs, as a basic short haircut cost me $17. The man who cut my hair (can't recall his name, as it's been a while) was a friendly older gentleman, who kept good conversation. However (and this is partly my fault for not being very specific), he defaulted to a very standard haircut that didn't quite fit my head shape or style. I'm sure it could be improved with familiarity, as with most barbershops, but I also don't have a lot of money to spare for frequent haircuts more than 10-15 dollars. My normal barber was booked up so I had to find a place quick before my friends Batchelor party. So I call on Wednesday. Tell them I need a cut, they tell me no problem, should take 20 minutes. They supposedly open at 9:30, I work at 10 but my work is only 10 minutes away. If I called ahead, no problem if I run few minutes late. So I arrive 9:27 am. No one is there. 9:45 still no one there. I get frustrated and leave. I make an appointment for the next day at another shop. I call at 10:10, they answer the phone. Them- "barbershop" Me- "hi, I had an appointment at 9:30. But no one was there" Them- "well we're here now" Me- "well it's too late, I left and I'm at work now, just letting you know you lost a customer" Them- "okay, you have a nice day" No apology, no nothing. My boyfriend and two sons came in for a hair cut and they messed up all three. My son told the barber which was a older man what he wanted and the man asked him wouldn't you want a Mohawk and my son said no and guess what! That is what gave him and my son isn't happy. Oh plus the Mohawk wasn't even straight.Next son was at another chair and the hair cut was good but they lined him up in front extremely not straight and cut him up in the back! Then my boyfriend is at another chair with some other guy who did a OK job on his hair but they did a hard line which was thick and went from thin to thick. Maybe it was just the barber I had but he in no way knew his way around the clippers. Basically shaved my head to get the length that he wanted and then worked from there. I have gone here multiple times and always been treated well. This last time I was early and I waited outside until 11 when they were to open. Numerous people with their children started to go in so I followed. Even though their were folks getting haircuts in chairs I was told they were closed when I entered the shop. Loved this place. I was getting my tire fixed across the street and I walked over to get some food when I found 100 Proof Barbers. Saw they had a bunch of good reviews and wanted to get a cut before I went on vacation tomorrow. Only thing was I didn't have a lot of time. I decided to go inside and all the chairs were full with 2 customers waiting. I didn't have an appointment and they still got me in a chair within 10 minutes. The cut was great and super quick without me even having to ask him to rush it a bit. Cleaned up my beard a little too without asking. I believe the gentleman's name was Alex that cut my hair. Also thought the customer service was great. They are very welcoming and the shop is a cool place. I live in Newport and I'll still make the drive to here every time I need a hair cut.
