My family and I have been going to this place for about 3 years now because the food is MUCH better…read morethan your usual taqueria. They have awesome food and an awesome menu! It is a tiny, hole in the wall spot and has 3-4 seating tables, which gives it a cozy feeling. The owner, servers, and cook are very nice and always greet you as you come and go. They know everyone on a first name basis. I would give them 4.5 stars if I had that option because it is a bit pricey for a taqueria. It sure hasn't stopped me from going because the food is real good!

So we've watched this place being built for a year and when it finally opened yesterday we decided…read moreto try it out. It is a sit down restaurant. Our waiter was obviously new but trying very hard. They only serve Pepsi products (bummer). The chips were good and the salsa had a nice little kick to it and a flavor we couldn't quite once - not 'wow' salsa but pretty good. We tried the Al pastor street tacos and they had great flavor - would definitely order again. The borracho beans had a good flavor to them. We also tried the grilled spicy chicken (I forget the actual name). The chicken was okay - no spice to it at all but it was grilled chicken. The flour tortillas were very thick and fluffy - I'm guessing they are not made on-site, but they were good. The refried beans were very good - nice flavor to them. Overall the food wasn't great but it was good and we would probably give them another visit soon. Now - for the OCD part of me - the menu had a LOT of spelling errors - doesn't impact the food but probably should have somebody re-do it. With a few tweaks here and there this place could get 5 stars.

This is my new favorite place when I want a good meal in a nice environment. They have a large…read morevariety of menu items including Mexican food, steaks, hamburgers and desserts. There is also a full bar and live music Friday and Saturdays. The environment is calming and the servers friendly and accommodating to special requests. My only comment is that the place needs better decor and less lighting. It is too stark and bright keeping it from being cozy and customers from hanging out. All these can be remedied and not enough to keep me from good food and great service.

So was able to grab some grub and enjoy a great meal in a beautiful little urban park. My favorites are the Trompo Combo, delicious marinated pork, and the Bistek Combo, seasoned beef. All of the combos come with Charro Beans and a drink. The bottled water is always nice and cold. The Charro Beans are so very good, I wish I could get a big bowl of those as a meal. They are that good. The food from this truck is amazing and the prices are very fair. If you run into this truck (figuratively) I recommend grabbing a taco or few!!!

Agua Fresca here is so good and fresh!…read more On weekends, they have even more flavors. Staff here is friendly. They might benefit from a ringing bell. They have no idea when a customer comes in, if they are in the kitchen. And the place is a little too cluttered for my taste. I will be back for some more Agua Fresca!

I don't like being hard on an establishment; however, I will not return to this place ever. My eggs were under cooked topped with cold salsa, which made my whole plate cold. Also, they're fryer wasn't working so they couldn't make potatoes? What? Throw 'em in a pan??? I was offered two sides of refried beans. Nope. I had to ask for rice. The flavor wasn't there at all, and it upset my stomach. My husbands menudo was worse and the side of onions was 3 pieces of chopped onion. He had to ask for more and the other ingredients that go in menudo. The servers were sweet and attentive, but the food was not worth it.

Good stuff! Great lunch specials! The service was great,…read morethey kept my sweet tea full. The tortillas seemed to be store bought, not homemade. But you can't have it all. The salsas were delicious!! Made fresh, and wonderfully spicy. I will certainly return! The decor was a little weird. The exterior is painted with details of the previous Spurs Championships, but not very professionally done. But that in no way detracted from the experience. In fact, I think it may have added to the hole-in-the-wall ambiance.
