Amara has been my number one experience in the healthcare/wellbeing world so far (and likely for…read moregood). She's gone above and beyond for me as a patient. For starters, she dove deep into my medical history/records, ensuring she captured all the details correctly and missed nothing. I was surprised she remembered every small detail I had told her, given that my issue is a 7-year-old neuropathy + CRPS combo. Due to the complexity of my condition, she tried different Chinese medicine approaches and strategies. I have no doubt other practitioners would have dismissed me as a patient (and they actually did) because of not seeing quick results. Instead, she proactively consulted mentors and trusted colleagues to get feedback and other perspectives on my condition. Thanks to Amara's not giving up and her continued treatment, I can now enjoy a lower pain level phase and just have an easier day-to-day life. It makes a huge difference to my family and me. On top of my chronic issue, I once woke up with very scary tunnel-syndrome-like symptoms in my good limb. I really freaked out because I could not afford to lose any more function or tolerate any more pain. Fortunately, I was seeing Amara that same day. To my astonishment, she got rid of the issue in that one session. Boom. Symptoms fully gone the morning after. I really could not believe it. I thought I would need to embark in another never-ending healthcare nightmare. Had I known Amara when my neuropathy + CRPS first started, my last 7 years would have been so different... All of the above would already make an outstanding healthcare experience. However, what definitely sets Amara apart is that SHE CARES. As a patient, I never felt like a number, a checklist, or a protocol sheneeded to get over with. It does make a difference to her if I am in more or less pain, if something in my week flared up my symptoms, whether my camping trip impacted my pain, and so on. And she'll do whatever she can to help me. I am so grateful to Amara. I just hope that more people in pain out there can get to her practice much sooner than I did.

This recommendation is long overdue. A few years ago, I received fertility acupuncture at Annie's…read more(note: my account is under my husband's name). My OB-GYN had referred me, and at the time, I was determined to give everything my best shot - I wanted to try just once and make use of every resource available. I had such a wonderful experience. My IVF process went smoothly, and I was incredibly fortunate to have a baby girl on the first try. Of course, many factors contribute to success, but I truly believe choosing Annie's was one of the best decisions I made. The sessions helped me feel more relaxed and less stressed throughout the journey. I only wish I lived closer. I'd love to return for regular treatments.

I've been coming to see Olivia and David for over 10 years and they are both very skilled and gifted acupuncturist!! They also helped my son when he was going through growing pains as a young teenager. They've also helped me with my chronic pain throughout the years , since I was in an accident. They are both very caring, and no up-to-date medical information. David also likes to make a number of herbal tees, tinctures, and solves! I'm so lucky to have found them!! I will continue to visit them and it's always great to get a good nights sleep after my acupuncture and cupping appointment!! I suggest everybody at least check them out!! plus I love their new Sunnyville Office. It's closer for me. Lol they also have an office in Brentwood California in case you're in the East Bay!!

Seriously so glad I found this clinic, they made me realize that living with back pain is a choice…read more I had been dealing with low back pain and sciatica for about 4 years from herniated discs at L4 and L5, and I had pretty much gotten used to living with it. I was receiving Cortisol injections to mask the pain, but it was not until Silicon Valley Chiropractic that I was able to truly alleviate my pain without medications. I highly recommend you stop pain and nerve medications and come here instead for a real fix. I ended up trying their DRX9000 non-surgical spinal decompression treatment, and it made a huge difference. My sciatica is completely gone now. I honestly wish I had done this years ago because I did everything else, and this is the only thing that worked. I'm exercising again, and I can sit and drive without pain, and I'm back to playing pickleball! Everyone there has been really nice and helpful too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone dealing with a herniated disc, sciatica, or ongoing low back pain. They also have shockwave therapy with the StemWave machine. Funny enough, the person who first told me about this office had gone there for shockwave therapy for her knee and had a really good experience. That's actually what made me decide to give them a try. Very happy I did! I see Dr. Riley and Dr. Parvini, they take such good care of me! When I have had emergencies the other doctors have also offered their availability too to make sure I get fixed. I have seen all of them and they are all wonderful! Amazing staff. If you have a pinched nerve - you are in pain or have trouble moving your neck or your neck muscles cannot relax - come to these neck whisperers and stop torturing yourself. They will adjust your neck and unpinch your nerves. Stop masking it with Advil and Tylenol people! You do not have to live in pain, come get a back and neck adjustment! You deserve to be able to look over your shoulder without pain. Dr. Parvini was really kind the other week and was able to get me in quickly for a neck adjustment. I slept in an odd position that caused my neck to pinch my right shoulder muscle, I literally could not raise my right arm more than halfway up, but after Dr. Parvini gave me a good crack I immediately was able to give him a high-five! Note: You need to have a 1st evaluation appointment that takes longer but it sets you up so the doctors there know exactly what to work on when you come in. You want to have this appointment to learn more about your spine. Dr. Riley was able to point out injuries I did not know I had from a previous car accident without me even telling her I was recently in one. Amazing team with detailed work #neckwhisperers

I even woke up in the middle of the night with twitching pain. It was a pain in the butt, literally. Since I couldn't get into an appointment with a PT within a short time frame for some long-term rehabilitation and injury prevention treatments, I looked for an acupuncturist as an emergency solution. I did a few sessions with Carol, and she has done a marvelous job treating me. She was attentive in understanding what my issues were, and was very patient and gentle when she gave the treatment. As others have mentioned, Carol takes insurance so I didn't have to pay a lot out of my pocket. My injury took a good while to heal, but I've definitely seen good improvements when I went through the sessions with Carol. I would definitely recommend working with Carol if you unfortunately injured yourself.

I had a very disappointing and stressful experience with the front desk person at this office…read more The issue started with poor communication around billing. I was initially told that my copay would be $30 for Dr. Helen and $20 for Dr. Deanne, and that my insurance had been checked. About a month later, I found out through my insurance that I was actually responsible for 30% of the bill. When I brought this up, the front desk person first denied saying that, and later offered to settle the account based on the $30 copay amount. However, there was no apology or clear explanation for the confusion. We had also discussed that the 4/30 bill would be handled later once I received the insurance check, since my card had already been charged the full $150 for that visit. Yesterday, when I tried to bring this up again, the front desk person would not let me explain and kept insisting that my bills had already been taken care of. She also said she does not handle billing, but did not clearly explain who does or who I should contact. What made the experience worse was the attitude. When I tried to understand who handles billing, bookings, and patient communication, she responded defensively and said, "Oh, now you are saying I don't do anything," which was not what I said. I was simply trying to understand who was responsible for what, especially since she had said she does not handle billing or appointments for all doctors. The most upsetting part was being personally insulted and called a "sad person who makes other people sad." That is completely inappropriate in any service environment, especially in a healthcare or wellness practice where patients come for care and support. This was not the first time she referred to me as a "sad person," and it felt dismissive and disrespectful, especially as someone coming in with severe shoulder pain and trying to resolve basic billing and appointment issues. The communication around appointments was also frustrating. When I switched to Dr. Deanne and asked how to book with her, I was told to check online with no clear guidance. After asking again, I was eventually sent a link by text, but only after being told, "I don't handle her appointments." Yesterday, I checked in and sat in the doctor's office for several minutes, but the doctor was not informed. I had to go back and ask twice, and the front desk person clearly seemed upset about it. The last two months of dealing with this front desk experience have been extremely frustrating. Patients deserve clear communication, patience, and basic respect when trying to resolve billing and appointment issues especially when it's caused by the provider . Overall, this experience fell far short of the level of professionalism and respect patients deserve

I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy on January 22 after my symptoms started on January 21, and…read morehonestly it was one of the hardest experiences I have gone through mentally, emotionally, and physically. I work in the ER, and although I was sent home with steroids and antivirals, I still felt lost because many of my questions were unanswered and no one could give me a clear reason why it happened. I was told it could have been triggered by a virus, stress, or lack of sleep. Before starting acupuncture, the entire right side of my face was completely paralyzed. I could not smile at all, I could not close my eye, and I had to tape my eye shut every night to protect it. Watching your face change like that is incredibly hard and scary, and it affects you emotionally in ways people don't always understand. After finishing my steroids, I decided to start acupuncture with Dr. Lanie Quan, and I truly believe I came into the right hands. I am currently on session six and the difference has been incredible. My face now looks close to normal again, my movement has improved so much, and I finally feel hopeful in my recovery. I am deeply grateful to Dr. Lanie Quan and her team for supporting me through this journey and helping me through my Bell's palsy recovery. Every session feels caring, calming, and intentional, and I genuinely feel supported here. Bell's palsy recovery is not just physical, it is emotional too, and having a provider who understands that makes a huge difference. I am still continuing my sessions, but I wanted to share my experience because I know how overwhelming this condition can feel in the beginning.
