The setting is very calm despite being at a busy corner of West Stadium. There were a few other people in the spa at the same time, but not so many that it felt intrusive or crowded. My experience started with a massage. It was relaxing but not up there with the best massages I've gotten around town. Next came the infrared sauna, which was probably my favorite part. With relaxing music and heat all around, I was able to zone out and enjoy myself. The float pool was next. I liked the waterproof headphones to listen to zen music as I floated, but the air temperature kept the parts of my body that were above water pretty chilly. I ended up cutting that part short as a result. Overall it was a good experience. I wish their parking were better marked (I parked in a lot to the left of the building as you're looking at it from the front). I also felt like the scheduling process was a little informal and unprofessional. I called and instead of returning my call, I got a text message back with informal grammar "Texting u from Bloom wellness" - it came off as sloppy.

The massage itself was extremely aggressive -- not therapeutic or tension-relieving, but actually painful. I'm still sore three days later. Even more disruptive, my massage therapist answered the phone four times during the session. I could also clearly hear another staff member in the next room answering calls two or three more times. It made the whole experience feel chaotic and unprofessional. Despite voicing my concerns during the massage, nothing changed. This did not feel like a place that values customer comfort or understands what a relaxing spa experience should be. I do not recommend this establishment and would strongly encourage others to seek out a more professionally run and calming environment.

I was a little disappointed I didn't get a scalp massage. When I was face up, she climbed right on top of me and began massaging my thighs right into my groin. Weird. My towel was sliding down with my breasts fully exposed. I'm not shy, but if I were, it's be extremely uncomfortable. Just all so strange... That's about it. Not sure I'll go back. She also takes her time and isn't watching the clock like a lot of these other cookie cutter therapists, so when you pay for 60 or 90 minutes, you get the full 60/90 minutes. It is rare to find a therapist that is not only well versed in multiple styles of massage, but is also an expert in finding the right balance and style that works the best for your comfort and well-being.
