I am recovering from a pretty gnarly broken ankle, and the boot and compression sock I have to wear caused me to develop a pretty painful ingrown toenail. Dr. Meliso was so helpful and informative. He was able to answer some pretty important questions that my surgeon continues to dodge months after my surgery. The reception staff is also warm and friendly. My procedure was quick and (relatively) painless. He also helped me get a specific cream to help some other recovery issues I've been dealing with unrelated to the issue I came in for. I'm super happy with my experience and would definitely return again (hopefully I won't have to, after my follow up). 10/10! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I called to inquire about an appointment and get more information regarding to how they operate with my insurance, to which I was explained I need a referral (totally fine!) The receptionist mentioned that my insurance does require a written referral and I just wanted to clarify if an electronic was fine. SHE GOT SO NASTY WITH ME! I called because i'm in a ton of pain and living with something that's causing me grief. I told her she didn't need to yell at me as I was inquiring about what I needed for my visit, and that I was hurting, to which she responded: " YOURE VERY LOUD TOO " Im appalled by this customer service and someone like that should not work in healthcare. I don't recommend it, you can go somewhere better. Whoever this receptionist is, she needs a reality check, a vacation, or a tinder date - you don't talk to people that way. She's lucky she didn't speak to me that way in person. For one person to be that detrimental to a business before someone even steps their FOOT in the door, no pun intended, is a crime. read more

For those of you who despise lengthy, detailed reviews, on a short note, the most PROFESSIONAL , courteous, and unpretentious service in a private practice I have ever experienced. If you need a great Dr. And you're local, don't walk , run there. (or limp in like I did, hello....it IS a foot doctor) For the rest of you, the things you need to know. First time visits, allow extra time (pretty standard for practitioner visits), you will need to complete all your paperwork. If you are there to receive a procedure that will be painful, and you are one to cry out in pain, request a check- up room other than the one in the front. Don't ask how I know, but the vent will make it possible for everyone in the waiting room to hear you, and you might scare those patients...and we all know you wouldn't want to do that :) parking is pretty hectic, but if you bring quarters, meters are almost always available. Unlike some other offices you will not be here all day. The wait (every visit I had) was less than 15 minutes and I was in and out. Dr. Meliso's bedside manner is superb, and I might be bias as I love my own people (iItalians). Not many doctors would agree to hold you down as you fight back like a raging cat at the vet. Well he held my foot and didn't mind...with that being said...the second visit was better....for both of us. I can't. Forget the receptionist who is also really welcoming and tries her best to accommodate you. (around Halloween they even decorated and had candy) not a must but a cute addition. Besides it distracted me from the fact I was going to get an injection. So to wrap this up...five stars to Lorimer foot care...I hope they keep up the great work.... read more

Please stay as far away from this place as you can if you need anything serious done. Every local in Williamsburg will tell you that Dr Meliso is sweet, but they wouldn't trust him with anything more than a hangnail! I can't express how detrimental visiting him has been to me. What started as a simple wart that needed to be removed has literally cost me thousands of dollars. Long story short, after 10 scraping treatments (and pricey prescriptions) the wart was still there, so Dr. Meliso decided to haphazardly cut it out in office. He was rushing (as per usual) and didn't even use any numbing agents. I've never felt worse pain. Then I was having a lot of pain, oozing, and puckering with the poorly stitched wound (think Frankenstein stitches) so I came in to get it checked. Dr Meliso was rushing again and cut the stitches out 10 days early!!! He literally walked in the door where I had my foot up and cut before I could say anything. When I jumped back alarmed and reminded him I was just there for a check up, he apologized and said it'd be fine. Now I didn't even know this, but you can't restitch previous stitches because of danger of infection. So I was put on bed rest and had a huge open wound I had to keep elevated for 2 months! I couldn't even walk down the aisle at my sister's wedding! Thankfully the podiatrists I saw after Dr Meliso were miracle workers! They saved my foot and my sanity. The new doctors asked me to please not even tell them the name of which doctor did that to my foot because they would then feel obligated to call the board on him. Please stay far away from this place! read more

Dr. Meliso is thorough and attentive to your concerns. The wait time is not unreasonable but it is always best to as for the first or last appointment. Meliso performed surgery on me for plantar facitis and I was walking in comfort days after the procedure. I have, incidentally, not suffered since, going on six years now. The office is near the L train (Graham) and there is meter parking on the street or free street parking along the side streets (residential). Highly recommended. He is always friendly, remembers where you are with your condition, there is never a long wait and most importantly the treatment seems to be working. I'm not out of the woods yet, but have recovered a great deal since first stepping foot in there.
