It was recommended to do an abdominal ultrasound and a digestive panel to look at her small intestines by my vet of many years. Sadly she was retiring and would not be there for the ultrasound scheduled for 12/26/25 along with the recommended blood work. Dr Cook took over her case and recommended we start prednisolone and vitamin B12 for her small intestinal disease after her ultrasound. She called 1 wk later saying the results were not back yet and would take longer. After that, I never heard back with the results, nor did she make any follow-up recommendations on how to proceed. My dog had an appt for his ear infection with Dr Katy on 2/12/26 and I asked her for Tilly's lab results as I had never heard back. Luckily, the results were normal. I was very disappointed in the lack of follow-up from Dr Cook. This was the first time I have felt like this after many years of taking my pets to AVC.

Dr. Ramirez did her exam and we decided to take the route of antibiotics first which was nice not to have to jump right into something big. We did eventually need to have more tests taken and determined she had a bacterial infection most probably because of her teeth needing a cleaning. Dr. Ramirez came in on her day off just to do the procedure she was concerned because they did not have appointments for a few weeks, I was so appreciative!! My baby had a few teeth extracted and a cleaning and is doing very well! Thank You Dr. Ramirez and all of the Vet techs that put up with all of my questions and tears. My baby means the world to me and they took excellent care of her!

Time for Huckleberry's annual physical…read more The clinic is clean and does not smell. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Dr Tanner is fabulous. She takes her time to make Huckleberry and I comfortable. We have her full attention. In addition to his physical he got his shots and got his nails trimmed. I feel confident Huck is getting good care.

She also takes the time to explain everything in a way that's easy for us to understand, which we really appreciate. One thing to keep in mind is that the clinic does get quite busy at times, so occasional follow-ups or callbacks have at times taken a bit longer than expected. We also really wish they had weekend hours or a bit more flexibility in their scheduling, especially since one of our cats has a chronic condition. It would make things easier to manage if we could stick with this team for all their care rather than bouncing between multiple clinics and trying to keep track of records. But the fact that our only frustrations come from wanting more access to their care really says a lot about how much we value and prefer this clinic! That said, we genuinely trust Dr. Luu and highly recommend her... she's been such a calming and expert presence for both our cats.

I called that morning, and they were able to fit us in later the same day. The staff was friendly, compassionate, and took the time to listen to my concerns and the history of his condition. They performed precautionary bloodwork to ensure it was safe for him to receive additional medications, and once the results came back, they administered injections and sent us home with medication to help manage his pain. Watching a beloved pet suffer is incredibly difficult, so I am truly grateful for the care, responsiveness, and relief they provided. Thank you to the entire team for helping my boy feel more comfortable when he needed it most. Highly recommend!

Our beautiful English bulldog accidentally drowned in a swimming pool. We called PetCura and they…read moresaid to bring our baby over. They were so kind and compassionate. We were given a room where we could say our goodbyes. We decided to have our baby cremated and keep the ashes. They went over everything with us. later on in the week they asked us to stop by when we had time. They had made a beautiful folder with a clay impression of our dog's paw with a beautiful place for us to put his picture. They made our dogs passage a very dignified and memorable experience. I would just like to thank everyone at PetCura for their kindness and professionalism.

Our sweet girl's health declined very suddenly...she couldn't sleep, was struggling to breathe, and her heart was failing. We were faced with the difficult choice of going to a vet clinic or finding an in-home euthanasia service. We found Heaven from Home and reached out to Dr. Wensing. Although she was initially fully booked, she took the time to speak with us and even recommended other in-home services to try. Unfortunately, none had availability, and we were preparing ourselves for a traditional vet visit...something we knew would cause our already fragile girl a lot of anxiety. Then, Dr. Wensing called back. She had a cancellation and could come that same day. It truly felt like a blessing. She arrived with such compassion and calm presence, and because of her, our girl was able to pass peacefully in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by her family. It meant everything to us to give her that kind of goodbye. We could not have asked for a more caring, professional, and humane experience during one of the most heartbreaking moments of our lives. If you are facing a similar situation, I cannot recommend Dr. Wensing and Heaven from Home enough. We are forever grateful for the kindness and dignity she gave our beloved companion in her final moments.

I'm used to medical/veterinary staff being hurried and brusque, but Dr. Wensing was anything but. She's set the bar so stratospherically high here I don't think anyone will ever come close. She responded within a few minutes, was able to come out on a weekend, same day short notice, and offered multiple times to find what would work best. It was important to me that we were able to find a time where everyone could be present. My girls Kaylee and Gabby liked her immediately. She clearly has a gift with animals. She walked us through what the process would be like, answered all of our questions, and made us feel confident that we were doing what was best. She was gentle, calming, and patient, and made sure we knew what was happening every step of the way, giving us as much time as we needed when we needed it. When it was time for her to leave, she left us with the kindest words and warm hugs, as though she were a long-time friend. She clearly has a gift with people, too. On one of my worst days of my life, she brought such compassion, consideration, professionalism, care, warmth, and peace into my home that it seemed superhuman. I don't believe in angels, but if I did, she'd be one of them. Kaylee's sister Gabby is still with us, and I hope she still has a good number of years ahead, but Dr. Wensing will be the first person I call when the time comes. I'm not sure I can give a higher recommendation than that.

I have to give myself an hour to make sure I can get her in her travel crate but Poppy will just walk right up to him and sit on his lap as if they've been life long friends. WTH? Dr. Steffes takes his time at your appointment. He listens to your concerns and questions. He also asks you questions you might not think about at your visit. While you're having a conversation, he's checking your pet's heartbeat, history, fur and furballs, etc. Pretry amazing how calm he is - which is probably why my bunny loves him. Highly recommend this vet office especially for your exotic pets. Call first to see what kind of other animals they see. Convenient for nail trims or flea meds.

Today I brought one of my dogs in for a few routine treatments and checks. It was a joy to watch Dr. Steffes interact with my dog Tai, who is very skittish. Dr. Steffes is wonderful with Tai and his love for animals is obvious. I had the staff cut Tai's nails, which is generally something that can't be done. However, Jessie has the magic touch and was able to do this without too much drama from Tai. He is very knowledgeable and had great practical advice for a few minor issues. I'm also always impressed at how the folks here don't seem to make any attempts to drive up the bill, which is unlike many/most vets I've used in the past. Can't say enough good things about Dr. Steffes and his team. Highly recommended!

Four years ago, my parents shared their experience with Gateway. Four years later, guess what, I am writing this review on my own. Sometimes dogs can do better than humans, such as never arguing with your lady but listening. Based on that life experience, you know that I would only share my honest story of Gateway with you. In the past four years, they did a great job in ensuring my health and taking good care of my mom's banking account. She is not over-stressed whenever we go there. You know, girls can save some extra money to buy new things. Happy mother, happy Woof. A few months ago, my mouth started to smell like farts. That derailed our relationship a little bit. One day my mother told me that I had bad breath when I kissed her. Although she didn't refuse my kiss, on her face, I could tell that I am now a terrible kisser. Finally, a week ago, we went to Gateway for my dental treatment. It took several weeks to complete the treatment. First, I did the blood test, and then the urinal test. After my doc confirmed that I got good results in both tests, I was illegible (safe) to do the dental treatment. Woofs, please allow me to tell you a little bit about my dental issue. I am a foodie and I love all kinds of food, especially chewing hard bones and cheese bars. This hobby is way beyond what my tooth can stand. That is how I got a few broken teeth. In addition, I hate toothbrushes but not toothpaste with bacon flavor. Oh please don't pretend you like toothbrushes. We all know the universal truth, without delicious toothpaste, a toothbrush can never get into our mouth. So while I finished the toothpaste as fast as I could, the toothbrush would never have a chance to get close to my back teeth; however, I paid my costs too. I became a terrible kisser because of my bad teeth and bad breath. For those woofs of the size like me, we all have the risk of getting a gum disease when we reach three or four-year-old. So I don't blame myself for being a foodie. I trust the scientific statistics, having bad teeth is not an individual case, but a genetic weakness, so let's blame our ancients. Having dental treatment is good for us and our relationship with humans. I can't tell you how the experience was during the procedure because I was passed out. After I woke up, I heard that my doctor called my parents and gave them follow-ups and caring guidance afterward. Great job on that, they need the woof education. Honestly, after the dental treatment, I was a little bit afraid of staying in this place. Because they can put me to sleep and get into my mouth without giving me bacon flavored toothpaste. But the staff was so nice and warm to me. They hugged me, kissed me, and kept checking on me. I slowly became more active and felt calm there. My doc told me that I may need at least 6 days to recover. But after three days, I was looking for something terribly hard again. Now, you may have a question, how much does the dental treatment cost with this level of services? My program includes a blood test, a urinal test, a dental calculus clean, 6 teeth removal, and a set of 10 day medication. All in all, it costs my parents $1400. I would say this is a fair price, I can use my insurance to cover 60% of the total price (depending on your insurance, the percentage may vary). I am happy with the dental treatment result. My breath is fresh with Hollywood's whiten-looking teeth. Now my mom enjoys kissing me, but the game has changed. Now the kiss from me won't be free. I set the rule, two kisses with one treat. If she doesn't give it to me, I just walk away. Ok, let's talk about the room for improvement. Well, as we all know that in this crazy era, it is hard to hire employees. The market has a problem that demand of labor is greater than the supply. So does Gateway. Sometimes they could forget to call you back to provide updates. But I understand that. How could one staff do everything? If this is a hard problem for them to solve (budget control), then I would say we as a customer can become more proactive to ask for it. Well, as a local woof, I stand for protecting our local small businesses. From my experience so far, I wish the best for them. I hope you enjoy my story with Gateway. Now they no longer are responsive with emails and when you call, you are put on hold for a long time. Front desk staff seem different each time I go in as well. Another major issue that irritated me was how they no longer would approve prescription flea meds online through Chewy anymore. I had to pick up a hard copy of the script to mail into Chewy. Super inconvenient for patients who need medications soon. Dr. Sekhon was the best vet I saw, but I only was able to see her in person 2x. Parking at this location is easy. I'm currently on the journey to find a new vet in the area.
