There not enough good things to say about this vet! We had a tragic event and our 2 year old puppy passed away. We have her twin sister and she was getting sick so we decided to bring her here for a check up so we didn't have to go through what we did with the puppy a few days ago. Dr. Kapty was absolutely amazing, her bed side room manor was amazing! Our pup is very scared and neverous around other people. She let us stay in the room during all the procedures to make sure she was comfortable. Nicole the assistant was so gently and amazing as well. There was another assistant there helping and I can't remember her name. I can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for all your help and make sure our Lillie girl was healthy after losing her sister the day before!

I casually walked in this morning and was greeted with horrible customer service. I had my mask on and my dog with me , but still both of the employees there looked at me like I had absolutely no business being in there,, I was taken back. I tried to ease them by saying good morning soon as I walked in and felt the awkward feeling. Neither one of them replied good morning and she asked me if I needed something.. Still not understanding why this negative vibe was there and me being a grown man had to bite my tongue,, Because I know me being a black man here in this typical Livermore establishment with 2 white ladies just asking the question would make things unnecessarily worse,, I just ask her if they y service trimming dogs nails? She tried to rush me out by being rude and loud and saying if they've never seen my dog and it doesn't look like they have its $59 for an appointment and $28 for nail trimming!?! Personally, that broke the tension a little because of the strong humor in the price- So I politely said thank you and good bye Anyway I haven't been on Yelp in a while but living here for the past 11yrs and reside less than 5 minutes away from this place- I really felt disrespected how I was treated- Besides the unreasonable service charges they provide I could not get past the front desk ..2 thumbs down

This place is absolutely amazing! I've been bringing my cat Hopps here for over a year now. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful, and I mean everyone. Any staff member, doctor, nurse, anyone you speak with is great. They really care for your pet in a loving matter, not clinical whatsoever where, but still very professional. The knowledge and support is never ending. My favorite story is when my cat had to get this laser thing done to his ear, they asked if they could take a picture of him wearing goggles to protect his little eyes. Of course I said yes! It's my favorite picture :). Again, I highly recommend this place for all your pet needs from simple check ups to serious stuff! Thanks Arroyo

Where do I even begin regarding Dr. Rosato? How many of you have a vet that calls daily, gives you updates on weekdays and weekends, calls you back when she says she will - even after hours just to walk you through installing a libre sensor, makes sure all documentation reaches other specialist on time w/ detailed notes and reaches out to other vets for a 2nd opinion - Dr. Rosato is THAT Doctor. She has even said she wouldn't be opposed to coming in to the office on her day off to help my dog. My dog was recently diagnosed w/ diabetes and w/ her hand holding, got my dogs glucose under control. Unfortunately, other diseases are present and without her, I would be completely lost without. She's a straight shooter w/ a sweet, funny sense of humor. She doesn't sugar coat what's going on w/ your dog and doesn't try to milk you for ever dime you have. I could go on and on because with ALL the issues I've had w/ my 2 dogs and ALL the other vets I've used in the past 12 years, she is by far the BEST I've ever experienced. I'll never use another Doctor for my beloved pets.

It was our first time at this clinic and they had no prior medical history on our cat, yet they treated her as if they had known her for years. Dr. Shubin was extremely thorough, patient, and gentle. She kept me updated every step of the way, calling with detailed explanations and making sure I understood all of the options. The staff was equally wonderful -- genuinely helpful, kind, and transparent. They were very open about costs and did everything they could to minimize expenses without compromising care, which meant so much during a stressful time. Sadly, we eventually had to make the heartbreaking decision to put our cat down. Even in that moment, Dr. Shubin and the staff made an unbearable experience a little less painful. Their empathy, professionalism, and the way they cared for both our pet and for us as humans is something I will never forget. There are no words to express how grateful we are to have found this veterinarian. Dr. Shubin and the entire team truly go above and beyond. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet who leads with compassion, honesty, and exceptional care.

But I remember like it was yesterday, so here goes.... I had an elderly, very much loved, bearded dragon named Dino that I had close to 8 years. One day after coming home from work, I found him on the bottom of his tank with his head turned to the side. He was flopping around like crazy, looked like some type of drunken stupor. I had not had to take him to the vet before. I called around and found an emergency place in Dublin that said they would be willing to see him. I rushed him there. Although they were visually equipped for reptiles, they were clueless. Which I understand to a degree, reptiles aren't as easy. But their recommendation was he probably had metabolic bone disease (no, he didn't) and that since he was elderly, they spoke to me about euthanasia. I took him out of there and went home, completely disgusted. I left there crying and traumatized. And refunded lol. The next day, I did extensive research to find a good reptile vet and that's when I stumbled upon Ohana. I made an appointment and drove there from Concord and dropped my baby off. Within a short period of time I got a call from the doctor. He was extremely knowledgeable and compassionate. He explained to me that he believed Dino had a neurological disorder. I understood this meant no cure. What sold me on this doctor is when he told me he felt Dino had plenty of life left in him based on his alertness and responsiveness. He didn't recommend euthanizing him. We spoke about how his head tilt would just be our new norm, how this would be a disability for him but we could adapt to make him comfortable. He also was confident that Dino wasn't experiencing pain, rather just the surprise of having a sudden head tilt. Like people would feel if that same thing happened to us. I picked up my Dino and went home, so grateful for this experience. I removed all his branches and rocks due to a fall risk, and redid his tank to include a soft, cushy floor and some bright colored plants for visual enjoyment. Dino lived for almost 2 more years after that. We added so many more memories to the books thanks to the wonderful doctor at Ohana. Since then, I have another beardie and a blue iguana. This is the only place I will trust should they need very specialized care from an expert.
