An excellent artisanal brunch in a mellow setting…read more Three of us shared two house-made granola's with yogurt and a Justus Brunch: hot drink, juice, rolls, butter & jam, cheese, sliced aged meats, and eggs (we chose scrambled). The granola & yogurt was excellent (especially the fresh fruit), the eggs fluffy, the cheeses ranging from almost runny to very sharp (there was some debate among the waitstaff as to whether we'd gotten the Sbrinz or Gruyère). In addition, the atmosphere was homey and relaxed --- we felt like we were family friends visiting an old farmhouse, rather than waiting in line for an upholstered booth. The front half of the shop sells most of the same food and ingredients (including real molasses, as opposed to the corn syrup "molasses spread" at some grocery stores). We did notice some of the veggie bins didn't look to have very high turnover --- be sure to check your produce.

I like this place for many reasons. Firstly, this is a good coffee alternative to the Pain…read moreQuotidien chain nearby. It is a mix of a sustainable store within a cafe where you can buy basic organic food either to prepare at home, have some takeaway or stay and sit down at one of the tables. I only had proper lunch once but boy that was very good! It was well spiced and had the taste of "I cooked it with love" in it. So I defenitly want to go back to check out that love flavour again. They usually have one meal with meat and one vegeterian option. Always a daily soup which you may buy to go. They also sell small bakery goods such as cakes, tartes or bagels. They use interesting ingredients, such as brie with some sort of fruit or scamorzza cheese with carrots or beef roast, and much more. They seem to have vegan options, too. Today it was a sandwich with hummus spread. So there is coffee, there is food, nice staff, everything is sustainable but thats not the end of the list yet: the MAGAZINES!!! It is very dangerous for me to sit down and grab a magazine. Because they have a fantastic selection of brain food such as Swiss magazines, newspapers and I always feel tempted to bing read. I just realised: still not the end of the list! There is free wifi. Yes, the world is a good place to live in. STOP! Still not the end of the list: when the weather is warm enough you even can sit outside. Now you're flabbergasted, aren't ya? :) So why not 5 stars? I think there is just a tiny bit of room for improvent and maybe one day I will change it to 5 stars.

I picked this place out of all the other food stalls because it looked affordable at under 10 CHF, and I wanted something warm to eat instead of a cold sandwich. They have a few flavors of savory pies, including a chicken pie, beef & guinness, and a few other flavors that I can't remember off the top of my head. The pies are warmed up for you in the microwave, so the crust is not super crispy and flaky, but it's still pretty decent nonetheless. I didn't find the filling to be really exciting though - it seemed like just shredded chicken that was slightly sweet which was a little odd. I wanted there to be vegetables or something else in there. I appreciated that it was warmed at least and it fit the bill for a meal under 10 CHF, and it was a decent lunch - not super filling but it was just barely enough food. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here to eat, but if you're in the area and want food, this is a decent option. They don't take credit cards under 10 CHF, so plan accordingly.

The chilli has a kick to it and there's also chicken, beef and veggie amongst a couple others. The crust is perfection and the filling is very flavorful. It's even great reheated at home!
